The Missing Features

Are there any features that you were looking forward to in a video game, but didn't quite make it? If there are, then what kind of features were they, and what game did you want to see them on?

As for me, when they first announced Super Mario 3D Land, I really wanted them to have an online multiplayer mode, where you got to do missions with other people. These missions didn't have to be a part of the main story, they could've been completely unrelated. By completing these levels, maybe you could've unlocked new power-ups, special worlds, or perhaps even gained extra lives, which would have been pretty helpful when doing other missions. It's pretty easy to lose lives in 3D Land (unless you're an expert at the game, of course!), so the more you have, the better. (: I also wanted them to have a customization feature, which would allow you to freely customize any in-game character the way you want—whether they be playable or not. Wouldn't it be awesome if you had the chance to make Mario look like Luigi, Goombas look like a bunch of tiny Oddish, and have Peach pretend to be Princess Zelda? Haha.

In Mario Kart 7, I wanted them to give us some sort of a garaging feature, where we were allowed to make a variety of modifications to our karts, such as changing engines to modify their speed, replacing the tires for better handling, increasing or decreasing the weight for faster/slower acceleration, switching the style and color of our air glide, etc. I was looking forward to see more playable characters as well. The game currently has seventeen characters, approximately, which, in my opinion, is just two few. :( If it was twenty-five, or maybe even thirty, then that would've been a whole lot better!

Finally, in Star Fox 64 3D, I was always waiting for them to implement an online battling feature, where you got to verse other people from around the world with your own ship. It would've been quite fun, in my opinion, and also would have given us a good reason to keep playing the game once we were done with the story. d:

If they had features in Tales of Symphonia 2: Kight of Ratatosk to, I dunno, have more playable characters like Emil's own team instead of a bunch of mosnters, with a brief storyline or backdrop for each of those characters, then it'd be a much better game, imo. I mean, I do like the idea that you can play as the previous Tales of Symphonia cast, but, when I look at Tales of Xilla - 2, I'd wish they'd made the game like that, but.. I suppose it was an earlier feature corrected~

The lack of Part 1 characters in Naruto: Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. I believe they only have Naruto, Sasuke/Sasuke (Chunin Exam), Sakura, Neji, Rock Lee, Hinata, Gaara and Kimimaru. And that was just too few for my taste considering Part 1 of Naruto is still my favorite.
