The most Epic Battle ever

I want to talk about my last battle so much so I figured why not make a general topic about epic battles, so feel free to share if you have any of them.

Pokemon Platinum

Me vs Cynthia

I've never had such a tense battle. Usually I go into Elite four overleveled and whatnot and its usually piece of cake. But not this time.

My Crew:

Noctowl: level 55
Hypnosis + Air slash = omg how!

This guy, I have no idea why I always thought this is some weak owl. This ♥♥♥♥ing beast killed so much with his Air slash, I have no idea how considering its not-so-high sp. atk! I'd hit something and think "well, I'll just restart", and bam, 1-hit KO or at least more than half of HP down!

Empoleon: level 54
Surf all the way!

This guy too! He himself took MOST of attacks, every single attack from Pokemon even 7-10 levels above, would leave barely a scratch! He dealt a final hit to most of the enemies!

Luxray: level 55

Thunder BAM Thunderfang BAM Discharge BAM

I love him, considering how many Pokemon had type advantage, he did sooo well.

Mamoswine: Level 40

My only freaking chance against Garchomp. Notice that my Mamoswine is level 40, and Garchomp was 62. Awesomeness.

Gliscor: Level 41

One of my new favorite Pokemon. Despite being soo underleveled it sustained huge amounts of damage with was crucial for this battle.

Drifloon: level 35

Umm yeah...he was supposed to be good against psychic, but he was too underleveled. I said this was my most epic battle, not smartest, dont judge.

The battle took me like an hour which is relatively a lot for me.
Plus 1-2 hours of beating and saving game in between other elite four members.

So, the summary.

I had to restart several times before getting some luck with Hypnosis.

Spiritomb had no chance with my Noctowl being on rampage. Hypnosis, Air slash and hyper potion. bye Spiritomb.

Next up Togekiss. This wouldn't have been suck a problem if Cynthia wouldn't keep withdrawing it and throwing out Garchomp. But finally after 2-3 restarts, Discharge smashed critically and Togekisseed my Luxray's ass.

Garchomp...more like pain in the ass. I needed Hypnosis, Blizzard and whatnot, took me at least 4-5 revived and mega ultra potions. And my Mega tank aka Empoleon couldnt step in cos this dragon would just earthquake his ass. Finally I managed to get rid of him.

Now Lucario. I was sure Noctowl would deal with him, but after one Stone Edge and KO, I was sure it was over. Lmao, however, I did not expect that Surf would be so powerful against him. huehuehue.

Now I had two more Pokemon, but most of my Pokemon were on zero health. Only Empoleon and Luxray and Noctowl I believe were left and their health was on minimum. Guess it's over.
Next up Roserade. I was so sure I was done. But hell no, Empoleon was a mountain in this one. Sludge bomb, Energy ball, Extracensorryorwhateveritscalled, nothing could get to him. This was awesome cos I could revive and cure the rest of my team, over and over. Noctowl hypnosed him, she withdrew, Luxray almost killed Miltoic, but that Feebas-evo surfed all over him. Mega tank took in all the Surf, Magic Cloak, Ice beam, and Dragon pulse as if they were a snack. Bam, Miltotic down.

Roserade left, again, revive and potions on the whole team, and I actually had some problems, but Empoleon surfed over that flower as if she was nothing.

Over 1 hour, 30+ revives, 30+ Hyper potions, lots of Moomoo milk etc.

This team now realy grew on me, I love it, definitely transferring all of them up to the newest generations once I get them.
I went a bit unprepared into this cos I wanted to get done with it so I can continue the story comfortably. And I wanted to get through the entire Elite four on the first run, hence all the saving and restarting in between.

Great battle, I love cynthia, her team, and her as a character, kind of person I'd admire irl.

That's all. Had to share this, even if it's not very neat. Kind of under impression :D

Hey Sven! Me again. XD I really enjoyed reading this, as I am going through my journey with you and my boyfriend (as mentioned before). He's currently looking for some held items underground, so until he has those we won't be challenging the Elite Four. I'm pumped to start but nervous, mainly about the success we will (or won't) have. I don't know if my team was the best plan, but I liked each of them and I wanted them to be a part of my "super six". Granted, I did cheat (just a little bit!) to get them. Had my boyfriend put my diamond in and trade some of them to my game, albeit each of them being at low levels. It was EXTREMELY challenging at first, as you know that traded pokemon do not listen until certain badges are obtained. I had to level up slowly and wisely.

OH! And, side note, but where did you find those animated sprites to use? I've been looking but can't find them. I wanted to be all cool like you and post my team, but not until I have that. XD

Oh hi, cool. It's not cheating! If it makes you feel better, I am planning to play Soulsilver (After Platinum and Emerald) and a friend of mine will trade me about 4 eggs with Pokemon I want(4 of each to make sure I get the right gender, males, plus maybe a nice nature etc.), to avoid the problem you had with leveling up.

There are several sites with these, but I usually just google "[pokemon] kalos gif", either "Dragonair kalos gif" or "Dragonair gif". Or variations :D

Are you guys right before Elite or?

I just got Naitonal pokedex, after Im done with those few things like meeting Regi and Cresselia I will be chaining...a lot! I was looking forward to that for a long time so yeah :D

I had a paralyzed Haunter with only Shadow Ball (everything else was out of PP) facing up against a trainer's Jigglypuff. Haunter was my only surviving Pokemon, and it had only a few hit points remaining...
Needless to say, this battle took forever, and Jigglypuff eventually won by struggle.
