The most useful abilities?

As for my 1000th post (finally) I wanted to make thread about abilities. This time I am not asking about your favorite abilities, but those which are most useful in your opinion!

You can say about more than one ability, because there are so many of them and also some are useful more in competitive battles or against wild Pokemon (while grinding).

I have really one ability that is most useful to me. First is of course PickUp. Simple, you can get very useful items that will help you in your future progress. Of course not in every game PickUp can give you rarities all the time. Since Emerald you actually must have high leveled Pokemon with this ability to get something really useful fast, still I think this is most useful.

Pickup in Ruby and Sapphire is amazing. It's nice in other games too, but in RS specifically, it wasn't changed to the ratios we have now. You could find Rare Candies with level 4 Zigzagoon really easy. So you just hoard a bunch of Ziggies and let the Rare Candy collecting commence.

As for in-battle abilities, I really like abilities that absorb/stop certain types of attacks, like Volt Absorb, Levitate, Flash Fire, and Water Absorb. It's fun to switch in to one of those Pokemon and giggle.
