Ok, I recently came across an article that says that Pokemon from different Regions(USA, Japan, Germany, ect.) have a higher chance to produce a shiny when bred with one from your region. Apparently the rate goes from 1/8192 down to 1/2048. I have tried this personally, and I haven't had any luck. Maybe I am impatient, but even still, this seems a bit far-fetched. Anyone else try this out?

Weird I Came Across The Same Article Yesterday.....I Am Trying It But It Is Taking Me A Long Time!

I haven't tried it out myself personally, but it is a legit tactic to obtaining shiny Pokemon. Pokemon Director Jun'ichi Masuda confirmed this himself, thus the name "Masuda method".

I see. So Masuda announced it himself then. Well, guess I'll be breeding and trading for a long time now.

Yeah, it's legit, and don't expect results for a while. I've hatched ~1000 Eevees using this method and I'm still going.

For a second I thought this said Medusa method and I was like what the heck? 0_0
Anyways, that sounds a lot cool, but can you find the article please

1/2048 is still a big number ya know
Yes, exactly. I'll stick to chaining if I can help it. I might still try it one day.

Yeah, I think I've seen this guy's name mispelled in every way possible at this point. I guess I can't laugh but so hard when I go to Engrish.com

^ Did you read the article? The parents have to be from different region games.

Using the Masuda Method is pointless now as there are much easier ways of catching/breeding shiny pokés.
