Description: Mariam has short, spunky blue hair and pale blue eyes. She is fairly short with a slim build. She is quite warm to her friends, but seems cold on first impression. Mariam has a shy tendency, but is actually extremely sweet and caring.
Personality: Mariam is very sweet and good-natured, despite her sometimes cold demeanor. She is shy when meeting new people, but is a very strong and independent woman. All throughout her life, Mariam has faced challenges, but has overcome them beautifully.
History: Mariam was born in Fortree city. She then grew up in a small tree hut with her grandparents, as her mother died and father was never discovered. Mariam grew up with many pokémon as companions, as her grandparents raised stray pokémon, her favorite being a mudkip who she named Kyo. Later, when Mariam turned ten years, she passed her examination and obtained a liscense. Mariam's grandparents offered her the mudip Kyo, and she happily accepted. Mariam hit the road with her pokémon companion, a pokégear, pokédex, and a pack full of necessities. Mariam has now been on the road training for a few years, as well as battling, and has earned 4 Hoenn badges. More than ready to earn her last badges, Mariam battles her childhood friend Winona and earns her badge. She is departing for Lilycove City now, on her quest to become the best breeder, and trainer alive.

Other: Mariam is a talented breeder, and is struggling to become a decent co-ordinator, but has had no such luck as of yet.

Mariam hiked up to the top of the huge hill overlooking her hometown, Fortree city. The trees were crowded with the little tree homes of trainers. The houses were mostly secured now with windows and doors, and Mariam sighed. When she was a small girl, no one even had locking doors. Everyone in the village knew everyone else. Everything had changed since the criminal organizations had begun terrorizing the Pokémon world. Now even Fortree was struck with an absurd caution.
"Welcome home, Kyo," Mariam said to the Marshtomp that stood near her knee. Kyo cooed and nuzzled her leg. The duo was off, heading down the hill to Mariam's changed hometown. The sun was bright, the breeze was cooling, and Mariam knew it was a greeting.
