I'm talking about my fan-fic with my fan character. Just in case everyone forgot (which I bet they did) I'll re-post the prologue along with Chapter 1.
Secrets of the Oyuhatsu
Prologue
Oyuhatsu Sofu was traveling to the Snow Country on a trip to deliver some natural hot spring water from his home town, Kirigakure. As he walked along the frozen path after departing from a ferry, he could feel the warmth produced by the hot spring water warm his hands. He was unusually pale looking, almost as if he were frightened to travel the path on his own. He would twitch shiver every once and a while, not used to the frost in the air. The frigid air made his breath visible and he became more and more shaky as he traveled higher into the mountain to the town of Yukigakure.
Just as he started towards the unfrozen path, he could hear a growl from behind. "Who's there?" he asked frightened. "Reveal yourself or I will have to use my secret Jutsu!" Out of the snow covered bushes he saw a pile of pure white fur that blended into the snow. The pile's head faced him and Sofu could see white teeth growling back at him. The arctic wolf had light blue eyes, like a husky's, and pointed ears that gave him a demonic look. With teeth bared and ready to tear flesh, he pounced onto Sofu and dugs it's silvery claws into the vein on Sofu's right arm. Sofu cried in pain as the wolf dug deeper, he felt as if his arm were being injected with poison. Just then, a sharp ice spear appeared from behind Sofu and struck the wolf in between the eyes. It fell to the ground, lifeless and cold.
"What are you doing out here at this time of night? You can't travel here at night and not be expected to be attacked by an arctic wolf! Although usually they're calm around humans, that one had a weird aura to it, almost as if it were possessed. Enough chit-chat let me take you back to the village to look at your arm," the man who threw the spear at the wolf said.
They headed up the path, Sofu gripping his arm holding it high above his head to minimize blood flow to that arm. They entered a small village with a hospital building just two doors down. The two entered the building and set up the medical care needed for the wound. At first the medics didn't think it was too serious but when they entered the surgery room…
"Oh my gosh! This isn't good! Scalpel, I need to see what's going on deeper inside. His wound appeared to have a silver-white glow to it," the doctor exclaimed.
"Kind of like that wolf that attacked him, it had silver-white fur, not like most you see. Another thin I think I should mention is the feel I got off it as it attacked Sofu here. It seemed to enjoy the taste of blood, and felt very evil to me. I'm not sure if this has any relevance to the injury, but I thought I'd throw it out there while I could," the man added.
"I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with the injury, but…." Her voice trailed off as she gasped in fear.
Chapter 1
A round, flat rock rippled in the light blue water. The reflection of the sun was distorted as a disruption seemed to come from underneath the lake. A gust of wind blew through the dew covered pine trees around the valley. A splash was heard as it echoed through the depressed rock formation. Giggling could be heard as someone shouted "Butoukai no Mizu". Some more laughing was heard as you could hear what sounded like a seal's bark.
Kasugi laughed, his chestnut colored hair glimmering in the sun, "Nami no Mizu!"
A large wave rose above the lake, a small white sea lion with black speckled fur rose out of the water. It had a big smile on its face as Kasugi yelled "Yuki". The sea lion landed on the shore of the lake. Akarui Honaka was standing next to him, she had large green eyes. Her long blonde hair sparkled in the light just as Kasugi's did. They looked at each other and smiled. Kasugi reached into his bag and pulled out a large pink salmon and threw in up in the air. It was a beautiful sight as Yuki rose into the air, spinning around drying herself off while catching the fish in her tiny mouth.
Her fluffy white coat was slightly wet still, and it glistened in the sun. It looked like three tiny stars sitting by the lake, glowing hair and fur was as bright as the moon at night.
"So what should we do now, Honaka?" Kasugi asked with a smile.
"I think we should head back to Kirigakure to see what sensei has for us," Honaka replied.
Kasugi stuffed Yuki into a small brown pouch, and she poked her little head out. They started walking back to the village just as some rogue ninja appeared on the side of the dirt path. The squad of Yuki, Kasugi, and Honaka prepared themselves for a fight, but the rogues didn't seem to care about them. They were carrying a big bag that seemed to wiggle every time it hit a rock.
"Wha--," Kasugi stopped Honaka and rushed her and Yuki into some nearby bushes. The rogues turned around with a swish of their kunai. They searched around behind them, but didn't see anything. They whispered to each other some inaudible words, which Kasugi was hoping that Yuki's invisible highly developed ears would pick up.
Kasugi said in a whisper, "Did you catch what they said Yuki?" Yuki just made a small quiet "pip" sound and Kasugi understood. The rogues told one another to watch their backs for some ANBU forces. Kasugi was surprised that they though that the small team of two ninjas and a sea lion could be mistaken. Kasugi whispered what Yuki had told him to Honaka. She giggled and the rogues looked back again.
"Sorry Kasugi and Yuki," Honaka said with a look of sorrow.
The rogues heard this and threw a kunai at the small bush quickly. It missed Kasugi's jugular by an inch. Kasugi nodded to Honaka, she knew what it meant instantly and she drew her miniscule kunai from her weapons bag. Her kunai were not like most, instead of just puncturing flesh, once inserted into the body, it releases a deadly poison into the blood stream. Honaka was a master at the circulatory system of the human body. She threw herself out into the open and chucked the tiny kunai at one of the rogues. It missed and the rogue chuckled.
"You think that this tiny thing can damage me?" He let out a large laugh, but sadly it was Honaka's chance to throw another. It hit him in the chest and he fell to the ground, twitching. The other rogue backed away in fear and then lifted his friend up and ran away. The bag was left on the ground where it just wiggled and made struggling sounds.
Yuki charged to the struggling bag and looked at it confusedly. She tore apart the rope with her tiny jaws and looked bloodthirsty. She flung her head back and forth like a dog with a chew toy. Kasugi laughed at her thinking it was a cute gesture. Honaka and Kasugi headed over to the bag and opened it up to see a small boy screaming and kicking around. He had cuts and bruises all over him. His eyes were closed as he screamed and tears were going down his eyes like tiny waterfalls.
"Are you okay!?" Kasugi exclaimed as Honaka started to heal the cuts with her limited medic-nin abilities.
"Those guys were taking me away from my family!" The little boy exclaimed, eyes still closed and tears poring down. "They said something like they wanted to use my secret ability to the fullest!" The small child opened his eyes. One was metallic silver and the other, a normal dark brown.
"Are you part of the Kinzoku clan?" Kasugi asked surprised.
"Yeah I am. What's it to ya?" The little boy said defiantly, his brown eye bloodshot from his wiping away of tears. The metallic eye was cold looking, sending shivers down Kasugi's spine every time he looked into them. The little boy shot a dirty look at Kasugi for staring at him and Kasugi froze in his place.
"Wha--. What'd you do to me you little brat? We just saved your life!" Kasugi shouted at the little boy, only having control over his face.
"Don't stare at me like that, I get angry and then accidentally freeze people with my eye! I can't help it!" The little boy burst into tears again and Honaka looked at Kasugi disgusted. Yuki cuddled with the little boy as Kasugi's body finally became normal again. He mouthed the word "sorry" to Honaka and she continued her healing of the cut on the boy's arm.
"I'm sorry…err….what's your name?" Kasugi asked the boy.
"My name's Kobushi. I am part of the Kinzoku clan, but I wish I wasn't," The Kobushi remarked to the group.
"Why wouldn't you want to be part of the Kinzoku clan? It has the most sought after Kekkai Genkai. It's probably one of the best to exist," Honaka said as she had finished healing.
"That's exactly why. Because it's so powerful, everyone wants it. I was just kidnapped for what I think is my eye. I can't take it anymore. This is the second time in my ten years of existence. I just want to tear out my eye and throw it into the lake sometimes," Kobushi said. Honaka shuddered in disgust at the kid's thoughts.
"Well that's not how you deal with a problem! You have to face it, not just give up on it and say it's all over after that! If you have a gift, use it, don't waste it away! If I were to have a power like yours I would be the happiest person on the face of the Earth! Now don't spend your life crying about stuff like that and try to train to use it well!" Kasugi screamed at the kid, hoping that his words would pound him into thinking that everything he said was right.
Kobushi broke into tears again and he got up and ran back to town. Honaka stared at Kasugi with a mean look and then chased after Kobushi hoping to comfort him. Yuki went with her hoping she could provide a cuddly toy like thing to help. Kasugi stood alone staring at a small circular pebble on the dirt path, then spotted the kunai Honaka had throw that missed. He stood there and wondered whether the rogue had died already or not. He picked up the kunai and chucked it down to the lake area in his frustration.
