Here is where you can discuss Koga's mad ninja skills in "The Ninja Poké-Showdown."

The ninja house was hilarious though, how everything was aiming for Ash XD

OH! This is the first episode where Maddie Bleustien voices Meowth! Her Meowth is much cuter than the old one

I know, but I wanted to use the phrase "mad ninja skills." So, you can imagine my predicament. Heh. And, yes, "Everything is trying to kill you." Only, no invisible walls, like in the games. Oh, well.

Anyway, right, it is Maddie's first episode as Meowth, and frankly, it's for the better.

Here is the episode comparison, as there are paint edits and a few details on the Rockets' kabuki scene. Boy, he was right -- Koga didn't say much, did he?

I think I'll remember this as the introducing the concept of the pink ninja. Facepalm.

This was a funny episode with the whole ninja thing. Of course a gym battle would ruin it... again.

I swear to God, this episode spawned Janine.
Frankly, I'm happy.
Because Janine is WAY hotter than...what's her name again? XD

Interesting battle was interesting. There are few instances of Gym Leaders' Pokemon evolving...With the exception of Brock and Misty, there are the following:

-Sabrina's Abra, into Kadabra
-Koga's Venonat, into Venomoth
-Clair's Dratini, into Dragonair
-Brawly's Makuhita, into Hariyama
-Wattson's Electrike, into Manectric
-Flannery's Slguma, into Magcargo
-Roark's Cranidos, into Rampardos

So, yeah, not many instances to go by. It followed an interesting concept if you asked me.

But honestly, my least favorite part of the entire anime followed; the RIDICULOUS amount of time it took him to get to Cinnabar. I believe it was 20+ episodes AT LEAST? :#

I dislike long gaps of time between Gym Battles. Then again, currently in DP, there are about 20 episodes average between gyms, which is annoying...:#

Koga killed this episode for me. He should've been far tougher than what he was shown to be. I feel bad for him, especially because he will never redeem himself.

Aya, his sister. She also popped up in Johto. Ironic, as the anime gives Koga a sister and a daughter in the games. This pattern would also be done by Giovanni (Birth of Mewtwo CD, FR/LG), but Koga did it first. Heh.

Yeah. It really makes us suffer, considering how bunched Saffron and Celadon were. Irony?

The more I thought about it, I think I do recall him running into an invisible wall. Okay, I'll retract what I said on that.

Also, unrelated, did anyone feel weird that a Poison Gym Leader controlled Electric-types? Apt? Sure, as Voltorb are great for explosive devices, but kinda odd, anyway.

Didn't they have voltorb's in the game? I remember they had Drowzees, Hypnos and Kadabras...I hated them.. I can't remember about the Voltorb's, though

I don't believe so. I checked the Fuchsia Gym entry on Bulbapedia, and, nope, no Voltorb. Although, you were right on the rest.

Serves me right for not watching this episode in years. Bah. Though, the animated Fire Spin looks better than the real version.
