Platinum challenge day one:

-Got a chimchar and named him Bob-omb
-Beat up my rival
-Caught a bidoof and named her Munch
-Met an abra as first pokemon in route 203 and managed to catch it :O named him Boggler
-Failed to catch a geodude in mount coronet
-Caught a zubat in Oreburgh mine and named him Zubbzubb
-caught a ponyta which i named Amazing
-evolved mu Bob-Omb to a Monferno
-An epic battle ensued with the gym leader which i won, but i lost my Amazing ponyta to his onix (you bastard!):(

Lorelei, Thunderbolt OHKO'ed every one of her pokemon, not even a scratch on Bolt.
Bruno, Surf OHKO'ed his Onix. ThunderBolt OHKO'ed both of his Hitmon's. Surf agan on the next Onx. Thunder OHKO'ed his Machamp.
Agatha, Thunder OHKO's all of her pokemon, still not a single scratch on Bolt.
Lance, ThunderBolt OHO'ed Gyarados. Slam OHKO'ed both of his Dragonairs. Surf OHKO'ed his Aerodactyl, Slam hit his Dragonite, Dragonite attacked, got Bolt down to 3/4 health, Slam finished off Dragonite.
Now for the Final Challenge.
Champion/Rival, Surf OHKO'ed Sandslash, Thunder OHKO'ed Alakazam, Slam OHKO'ed Exeggutor. Wow, this is easier than I thought. No Thunder/ThunderBolt PP left, and a Cloyster comes up... Slam hits Cloyster, Cloyster attacks Bolt, Bolt at 1/2 health, Slam hits Cloyster, Cloyster attacks Bolt, Bolt at 1/4 health, Slam finishes Cloyster, Surf OHKO'ed Ninetales, and finally, his Jolteon. Slam hits Jolteon, Jolteon attacks Bolt, Bolt at 3 health...... Slam hits Jolteon..... Jolteon's health goes down...... and down..... and down.... and....... stops. I guessed Jolteon has about 1-5 health left. Jolteon attacks Bolt, and BOLT DIES!!!!!!!!!
I screamed. Seriously. I put my face in my pillow and screamed. When I went back to the game, I remembered I still had other pokemon, but they were weak. I tried anyway. I sent out Frenzy, Jolteon OHKO'ed him. I sent out Blaze, Jolteon OHKO'ed him. I sent out Torrent, Jolteon OHKO'ed him. I sent out Wing, Jolteon OHKO'ed her.
My pokemon just weren't fast enough..... I sent out my final pokemon, Jackie, my Hitmonchan. Never levelled, never used in a fight. I sent him out, hoping that he died without pain. I went to use Comet Punch, and I ATTACKED FIRST. My mouth flew open, I'd forgotten Comet Punch was basically a strong Quick Attack. I used Comet Punch..... and I missed. I couldn't look at the screen, couldn't see Jackie die.
When I finally looked up, I saw four words. Four words that meant more to me than anything else had learnt during my Nuzlocke playthrough of Yellow. I saw the words, " Foe JOLTEON's attack missed!". My heart jumped. My eyes grew wide. The Pokemon God had given me another chance. I calmed myself. I used Comet Punch, and then, three more words appeared, again, just as important. "RIVAL's JOLTEON fainted!"
I'd won. I couldn't believe it. I had won. When all had seemed lost and hopeless, I had won. I played the last three words over in my head. "RIVAL's JOLTEON fainted!", "RIVAL's JOLTEON fainted!", "RIVAL's JOLTEON fainted!". I HAD WON! I remembered all the pokemon that had died during my journey, and then the conditions under which I had won, and thought to myself, that now, having experienced the pain, the loss, and the joys of the Nuzlocke Challenge, I could truly call myself, a Pokemon Master.

EDIT: Finished! And finally updated this post with the finish! (I finished a couple of days ago) Will start a Nuzlocke in Red soon, and then that will be all three of the original Kanto games completed in Nuzlocke Mode. :D

Part 1:

Chose Bulbasaur as my starter, called him 'Frenzy'. (A tribute to the original Frenzy, who died during the Champion fight in Pokemon Yellow). Defeated Rival's Charmander, went through Route 1, killing the first seen pokemon (Rattata). No Route 1 pokemon for me then. Went into Viridian City, walked to the PokeMart and obtained Oak's Parcel. Went back to Pallet Town, defeating more pokemon and levelling up on the way. Gave Oak the Parcel and obtained the PokeDex. Then, went back into Route 1 and levelled Frenzy to level 10. Went to Viridian and bought 10 PokeBalls. Then went into Route 22, and proceeded to catch a level 4 Rattata. Called him 'Fang' (A tribute to the original Fang, who died during the battle against Erika in Yellow). Trained in Route 22 until Frenzy became level 16 and evolved into Ivysaur (Don't you just love speeding it up on an emulator? Playing at around 20x normal speed, ftw). Went and faced my Rival with my newly evolved Frenzy. Beat him easily with no trouble. Left Route 22 and went back to Viridian. Went to the PokeMart, sold all items except PokeBalls, and spent all money on PokeBalls (Now have 17). Went down into Route 1 and trained Fang to level 10. Afterwards, I ventured forth into Route 2, and managed to catch myself a lvl 3 Pidgey. Called her 'Wing' (Another Tribute. The original Wing died against the Champion in Yellow). I then proceeded to train Wing to level 10, just like I had with Fang. I then went into Viridian Forest and caught a level 4 Caterpie. I called her 'Buggy' (Another Tribute. The original died while fighting a trainer outside of Rock Tunnel in Yellow). After defeating all trainers in Viridian Forest, I exited out on to Route 2, and proceeded forwards into Pewter City. I healed my pokemon, and went to take on my first challenge, Brock. However, since my Frenzy was a level 18 by this time, there was no real challenge at all. I defeated Brock's lackey, and then Brock himself. During the battles, Frenzy levelled up to level 19.

After obtaining my second badge, I went north towards the Nugget Bridge, where I had to fight Rival. I defeated his Pidgeotto with two Tackles from Frenzy, his Abra also took two Tackles, while his Rattata took one Vine Whip. He sent out his Charmander, and I was once again able to defeat it in two Tackles. Frenzy had beaten Rival once again. After the fight, I ventured onwards to Nugget Bridge and managed to defeat all the trainers there, including the Rocket, with Frenzy, however, the last match was close due to Frenzy becoming confused, and I had to backtrack to Cerulean to heal at the PokeCenter afterwards. After I had healed, I went back past Nugget Bridge and fought the trainer in the long grass. During this fight, my Frenzy levelled up to level 30 and learned Razor Leaf. In this patch of long grass, which counts as Route 24, I caught myself a level 12 Bellsprout, and called him 'Root' (A tribute to the original Root). Root got sent to the PC. I then went into Route 25 and defeated all the trainers here with Frenzy, during which, Frenzy levelled up to level 32, and evolved into Venusaur. Afterwards, I accidentally killed the first pokemon I saw in the grass (another Bellsprout). I then went to Bill's house and successfully turned him back into a human. After recieving the S.S. Ticket from Bill, I headed back towards Cerulean City. I went through the trashed house and defeated the Rocket, then I went south, into Route 5. In the grass there, I managed to catch a level 10 Meowth, who I called 'Bling' (A tribute to the original Bling, who died whilst fighting Rival in Yellow). Bling got sent to the PC. After catching Bling, I went through the underground tunnel and emerged in Route 6. I defeated all trainers there with Frenzy. The bug catcher gave me a hard time, as he put Frenzy to sleep, and got his Butterfree to keep using confusion. After that battle, I had about half health left. I also killed the first Pokemon I saw in that area (another Pidgey). After this, I trained all of the other pokemon in my team to level 20. Fang evolved into Raticate, Wing evolved into Pidgeotto, Melody evolved into Wigglytuff using a Moon Stone, and Fishy evolved into Gyarados. During this, Frenzy became a level 35, as he was needed to help out Fishy and Melody as they were weak. Afterwards, I boarded the S.S. Anne and defeated all of the normal trainers on board, and Frenzy became level . After I had defeated the normal trainers, I left the S.S. Anne and healed at the PokeCenter as Frenzy's PP was running low. After healing, I went back aboard the S.S. Anne, and faced my Rival. Frenzy defeated Pidgeotto with two Tackles, same with Raticate and Charmeleon, his Kadabra took one Razor Leaf. Went and obtained HM 01 Cut from the captain before leaving the S.S. Anne and watching it sail away. After leaving the S.S. Anne, I made my way through Diglett Cave, where I caught a level 17 Diglett, and called him 'Mole' (A tribute to the original Mole). After getting through Diglett cave, I taught Frenzy Cut (It replaced Tackle) and proceeded to get HM 05 Flash from the Aide. After obtaining the HM, I went back through Diglett cave, and then went left into Route 11. I defeated all of the trainers there with Frenzy, who became a level 41. While in Route 11, I caught a level 14 Sandshrew, and called him 'Army'(my first name that has not been a tribute, as I never caught a Sandshrew in Yellow). Army got sent to the PC. After defeating all the trainers, I made my way back to Vermillion City and healed my Pokemon, ready for the next Gym leader, Lt. Surge. After entering the Gym, I defeated all of the trainers with Frenzy using Cut. Afterwards, it took me nine tries to open the electronic doors. Then, I battled Lt. Surge. His Voltorb and Pikachu were OHKO'ed with Cut, while his Raichu took two Cuts to defeat. Another easy badge for me.

Part 4:

After defeating Lt. Surge, I made my way back to Cerulean City. Once here, I headed East into Route 9. In Route 9, I caught a level 16 Spearow and called him 'Beaky' (another original name). Beaky got sent to PC. I defeated every trainer in Route 9 using Frenzy, who became level 44. Next, I went into Route 10, before Rock Tunnel. After I defeated the lone trainer here, I went into the grass to try and catch a pokemon, unfortunately, I killed it instead. After this, I taught Flash to Melody (replaced Defence Curl). Then, I went into Rock Tunnel and caught a level 16 Zubat, and called him 'Batty' (another original name). Batty got sent to the PC. Made my way through Rock Tunnel, defeating all the trainers with Frenzy. By the time I left Rock Tunnel, Frenzy was out of PP. Unfortunately I had to fight just outside, so I sent out Fang. Fang defeated one trainer and got to low health, against the next trainer I sent out Wing, who got to low health after defeating one Pokemon, so I sent out Buggy. Buggy finished off two of the trainers before getting to low health. For the final trainer, I sent out Melody, who defeated one Pokemon, then, Melody's Pound got disabled (her only offensive attack....), so I sent out Fishy, who was able to defeat the opposing trainer. After the last battle, I quickly ran to Lavender Town, and healed my Pokemon at the PokeCenter. Afterwards, I headed west into Route 8. I defeated all of the trainers here with Frenzy, who became level 48. I then went into the grass, and ended up killing the first pokemon I saw. Afterwards, I took the underground tunnel towards Celadon City. Once I emerged into Route 7, I went into the tall grass and again ended up killing the first Pokemon I saw, so I headed west and entered Celadon City. Once in Celadon City, I obtained the Eevee and called her 'Flame' (Another tribute. The original Flame died while fighting a trainer in the Cinnibar Gym in Yellow). Flame got sent to the PC. Next, I headed over to the Celadon Game Corner and defeated the Rocket there. Then, I went into the Team Rocket Hideout. After defeating all trainers, I made my way to Giovanni, who's pokemon were all OHKO'ed by Frenzy's Razor Leaf. After I picked up the Silph Scope, I left the Hideout, and made my way out of Celadon City to Route 7, where I trained all my Pokemon to level 30, except Frenzy who was already a level 51. Afterwards, I went to the Celadon Gym. I defeated all of Erika's lackeys with OHKO's from Frenzy's Cut, and then I did the same to Erika. One more badge for my collection. Half of the Gym leaders defeated, and still no Pokemon deaths.

Part 5:

Once I defeated Erika, I went west a bit to obtain the HM 02 Fly. After teaching Fly to Wing, I flew back to Vermillion City and obtained the Bike Voucher from the Pokemon Fan Club President. Then, I flew to Cerulean City and got the bike. Next, I flew back to Lavender Town and entered the Pokemon Tower. Once inside the tower, I fought Rival again. Cut OHKO'ed his Pidgeotto and his Exeggcute. Razor Leaf OHKO'ed his Gyarados and Kadabra, and then Cut OHKO'ed his Charmeleon. Another easy victory for Frenzy. I started to make my way up the tower, when I ran into and caught a level 22 Cubone. I called him 'Skull', and he got sent to the PC. I made my way up the tower, defeating all the trainers with Frenzy, and resued Mr. Fuji. When Mr. Fuji had given me the PokeFlute, I went south into Route 12 and defeated all the trainers here with my Frenzy, I then caught the Snorlax and called it 'Sleepy' (Another tribute name. The original Sleepy died while fighting Rival in Yellow). Afterwards, I continued south onto Route 13, where I defeated all of the trainers here as well. Next, I continued through Route 14 and Route 15, defeating all trainers with Frenzy. I also killed the first wild Pokemon I saw in Route 15. Afterwards, I flew back to Celadon City and bought some Lemonade. Then, I headed east, gave the Lemonade to the guard, and went into Saffron City. I then went to the Fighting Dojo and managed to OHKO every Pokemon inside with Frenzy's Razor Leaf. I picked the Hitmonchan as my prize, and called him 'Brawl'. I went inside Silph Co. and got the Card Key, I then went throught the entire building and defeated every single trainer in there. Next, I went and faced my Rival near the end. Two Cuts killed his Pidgeot, and then another two killed his Exeggcute. One Razor Leaf took care of his Gyarados, and another defeated his Alakazam. Finally two Cuts killed his Charizard. Another victory against my Rival, all thanks to Frenzy. Next up was Giovanni. Two Cuts took care of his Nidorino, One Razor Leaf defeated his Kangaskhan, another defeated his Rhyhorn, and one more efeated his final Pokemon, Nidoqueen. After I obtained the Master Ball from the Silph Co. guy, I left the building and healed my Pokemon at the PokeCenter before taking on the Gym. I defeated all trainers in here with Razor Leaf OHKO's, then I took on Sabrina. Razor Leaf OHKO'ed her first two Pokemon, then I used two Razor Leafs on Venomoth, and she used a Hyper Potion on it, so I had to use another three. Her final Pokemon, Alakazam, went down with one Razor Leaf, and I gained yet another badge to add to the collection.

First up, Lorelei. Her Dewgong was killed in two Vine Whips, and since she used a Super Potion between the two attacks, Frenzy took no damage. Her Cloyster was then OHKO'ed with a Vine Whip. Slowbro also took two Vine Whips, and it only used Amnesia. Her Jynx and Lapras were then both OHKO'ed with Razor Leaf. One down, not a single scratch on Frenzy. Now on to Bruno. His first Oniz was OHKO'ed with a Vine Whip. His Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee were then OHKO'ed with Razor Leaf. His second Oniz went down in one Vine Whip, while his Machamp took one Razor Leaf to defeat. Two down, no health lost. Next up, Agatha. Her Gengar took two Razor Leafs to defeat, while her Golbat took two Cuts. Luckily, both of their attacks missed. I used a Razor Leaf on her Haunter, but then I got put to sleep. I used the PokéFlute to wake Frenzy up, while Haunter used Night Shade. I the defeated Haunter with another Razor Leaf. Her Arbok died in two Cuts, while only managing to damage me a little, and her last Gengar died in three Razor Leafs, but Frenzy got down to about half health. On to Lance. His Gyarados died in a Razor Leaf and a Cut, and managed to use Dragon Rage on Frenzy, weakening him even more. Both his Dragonair died in two Cuts each, and they only used a buffing move, so no daamage to Frenzy from them. I then OHKO'ed his Aerodactyl with Razor Leaf, and when on to fight Dragonite. I killed Dragonite in nine Razor Leafs and three Cuts. Dragonite kept using the moves Barrier and Agiliy nothing else, and Lance managed to heal him with a Hyper Potion, but in the end, he didn't hurt Frenzy. Now for my final challenge, Rival. I killed his Pidgeot with two Cuts, and Frenzy went down to 14 health. I risked continuing with Frenzy, as this was my final fight. I was able to kill Alakazam in two Cuts, and he didn't attack Frenzy. I then OHKO'ed hs Rhydon with Razor Leaf. Next he sent out Exeggutor. I used Cut on Exeggutor, and then Frenzy got put to sleep with Hypnosis. I used the PokéFlute to wake him up, but he got sent back to sleep immediately with another Hypnosis. This happened four times before Exeggutor's Hypnosis missed, and I was able to use another Cut, killing the enemy. I then OHKO'ed Gyarados with Razor Leaf. Finally, Rival sent out his Charizard. I knew Frenzy was gonna die if I kept him in, but I also knew that Charizard could OHKO all of my Pokémon except Fishy. I kept Frenzy out on the field, hoping to wound Charizard before using Fishy. I used a Cut on Charizard and got a critical hit. Charizard's attacke then missed. I used one more Cut on Charizard, and killed him. Once again, I had completed the Nuzlocke challenge.

I'm thinking about taking the challenge on Yellow. What do you mean by "if you fail to catch a Pokemon"? If you run out of balls and have to run you can't go back to that route and catch a Pokemon?

@Ostrich: If your first pokemon of an area faints or you run out of pokeballs before you catch it, then no, you can't catch another pokemon for that area. It's the first encounter or nothing. I hope that's cleared it up for you : )

I've started a Nuzlocke on FireRed, playing by rules:
1 - Faint = Death
2 - No POTIONS or Revives outside of battle (status heal and PP recovery are ok though)
3 - Catch only first Pokemon on a route, if you fail, no pokemon for that area.
4 - Nickname all Pokemon.
5 - No catching legendaries.
6 - Do not challenge a Gym with any pokemon at a higher level than the leader's highest-level pokemon.

1. If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and must be released

2. Only allowed to catch the first Pokémon in any area

a. Lady's Night Clause: Only female or genderless Pokémon may be used, males are not considered encounters

3. All Pokémon must be named after Bras

Currently I've got Chikorita, Pidgey, Geodude, Ratata, Butterfree, and Zubat.

If I get capture-blocked by another freaking female ratata I swear to God I'm going to...get really angry or something. Probably rage and call bs.
