o.o; I've had my own computer since I was 11... it was an early birthday present, lol. Well, I had it when I was 11 for about a week, so eh. I've had it upgraded since then.

What about uni?
 
A computer as a present when you were 11? Congrats on having been spoiled like that... :P

I'm getting a new laptop from dad for uni, yeah. I get to pick to. XD He should be buying it within the next two days.

Eh. o_O I'd pay more attention to the processor speed/model than RAM, but that's just me.

There is, but it gets really technical and confusing after that, so I won't waste your time. ^^; I've had a bad experience with my old Celeron processor though, so I'd recommend trying to avoid one of those.

Ah. I prefer to build my own, so I'm not too familiar with the brands, but my brother bought an Acer and, having used it myself, it works like a charm.

I'll check out Acer too, then.

I saw a self-built computer before. It was cool and small. :P

And I might have to leave for bits spontaneously, because my mom's up and I don't want to be caught. o_o
 
Well, building your own computer is, in all retrospects, hard. But when you learn how to do it, then research, learn which parts are compatible and such, then it can save you quite a bit of money. Although I don't really care about money, I just find it interesting.

And I see. o.o;
 
I don't care much about money right now, but only because I'm not earning any. I'd love money if I was. I plan to get myself rich in the future. For real. =P

That could be interesting, but I don't like computer work. =P

Yeah, true. I'll probably be pursuing IT; I'm taking it next year as an elective.
