The Jem I'm basing the story on is the 80's rock band cartoon of the same name...(which when I first watched it, I had no idea what was going on)

(Two hours or so later, the situation inside the van still hasn't changed.)

Delia: We still have six hours to go....we're going through some heavy traffic now, so I'd appriciate it if you guys would quiet down for a while.

Whitney: Okay...(slumps down in her seat)

(Brock looks at Ash, who is still engrossed in his game, and makes a funny face)

Ash: Ha, ha... (makes a face at Brock. Brock stifles a giggle, which breaks through when Crystal makes a face)

Crystal: Hee, hee...(whispers) Stop it, you heard Delia!

(Whitney makes a face at Brock)

Brock: Gbttth! (whispers) We're gonna get in trouble!

(Ash makes a face at Niji, who bursts out laughing)

Crystal: Shhh! (stifles laughter as Niji makes a face. Before long everyone; bar Delia and Misty, are making silly faces and laughing)

Misty: GUYS!!!! I THOUGHT DELIA SAID SHE WANTED IT QUIET!!!!

Ash: We were having a funny face contest, but we're done now.

Brock: You won.

Misty: I hope your faces stick. (everyone laughs again)

I wanted to have a little fun with Misty in that episode...

Episode 7:

"Japanese" title: "Stressful filming! Akaichou's firey rescue!"
"English" title: "Rescue with a Bang!"

Kage: Exactly! Therefore, I suggest sabotaging the set somehow. (he holds a film reel in the air, prompting Meowth to dart behind the trunk)

Meowth: I'll just hide in here, tank you..

Kage: Okay... (he wheels a projector out, threads the reel inside, pulls down a screen, and starts the projector. Clips from the episode "Air Time" flash onscreen, which Yami watches, bemused.) Notice what Jessie and James did to sabotage the radio show?

Yami: That's a completely different medium that what we're dealing with!

Kage: I know that, but what happened with the radio here (gestures to the screen) can just as easily be adapted to a TV station or movie set.

Meowth(muffled): How so, Professor Kage? (we see Meowth's thoughts: Kage in a lab coat)

Kage: Notice how these two disguise themselves as radio actors? (gestures to Jessie and James attempting to voice act on the screen) Likewise, we can disguise ourselves as movie stars and sabotage the set from the inside! (turns the projector off)

Meowth: Now why didn't I tink of dat?

Yami: Because you're a fraidy cat!

Meowth: YOU TAKE DAT BACK!!!!!! (he brandishes a claw at Yami. The two begin to fight, making a dust cloud appear. Kage watches, embarrassed)

(everyone gasps as the Rockets rise up from a platform nearby the taped X)

Yami: To protect the world from devastation...

Kage: And unite all peoples within our nation...

Yami: To denounce the evils of truth and love...

Kage: To extend our reach to the stars above...

Yami: Yami!

Kage: Kage!

Yami: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light! (we see the background of an R on a movie screen)

Kage: Surrender now, or prepare to fight.

Meowth: Meowth! Dat's right! And we have a message to da Beautiflies!

Kochou and others: and I believe deep inside my heart that fate, will lead us on... (Midorichou leads the others into a rock beat, clearly overpowering the Rockets, but the Rockets try to one up Kochou.)

Kage: Congratulations!
You gave up the crown!
You've lost the game and it's winner take all!

Kage, Yami, and Meowth: Congratulations to us,
Congratulations to us! (Congratulations)

Kochou: I've broken free from a cold wave of doubt...
Yet I don't know why I'm crying...

Meowth: Take a backwards glance,

Kochou: And so I turn, looking away from everyone,
Silently, I vanish in the night air...

(We see the Rockets rigged above some explosions for a moment...just then, a knock is heard on the trailer door, snapping Akaichou from her dream sequence and waking Kochou.)

(Later, Meowth is in a director's chair, overlooking the makeshift soundstage. Kage and Yami, playing the role of explorers, await instructions)

Meowth: "Da Rocket's Treasure", take 1! (claps a clapboard. Kage and Yami trudge around, until Kage winces)

Kage: That was my foot you stepped on!

Yami: Sorry...

(we blip to Meowth holding the clapboard again)

Meowth: "Da Rocket's Treasure", take 7! (claps the clapboard. Kage and Yami start walking, until Yami realizes that an Ekans decided to nap on her leg. She screams and tries to shake the Ekans off.)

(we blip to show Meowth with the clapboard again)

Meowth: "Da Rocket's Treasure", take 39! (claps the clapboard)

(Kage and Yami start walking, until Kage trips and falls, taking Yami with him! Meowth sighs as his comrades struggle to get up)
