I never expected the animators to ever put Misty in a Chinese dress but when I saw the hosos, YAY! That was surprising. hehe
Remember the Parasect episode with that herb-girl who wore chinese clothes + her hair in 2 buns or something? :p

As for Misty's age, I agree with Kylie-chan; I always thought of most anime characters as ageless, since it seems no matter how long time has passed, characters always look the same old XD

Yes LonelyTrainer247 Brock is older than Ash and Misty because when they met him in episode 5 he was running the Pewter City Gym and plus he is much more wiser than Ash and Misty are

As for the actaul ages of Ash and Misty i would have to agree with Carina becauue like i said in my earlier reply these two character my have been born in the same month as each other but few weeks apart

I believe the ages of the characters cannot be determined by simple speculation and definitely not astrology. I believe that there are too many variables in the equation to try to guess. Nutritional history, environmental hazard exposures, past sustained injuries, genetics. The only way we will know for sure is by asking Satoshi Tajiri. He is the creator of the series after all. I'm not paying for long distance calls and unless someone is willing to fork over some serious cash, we probably will never know:P.
