Cort's Nuzlocke Challenge - Episode 3.5

Just finishing the update from yesterday.

We may have suffered yet another crippling tragedy, but the fight is alive in us. We will succeed.
 
I'm starting a nuzlocke run on firered

My rules:
Healing is allowed both inside and outside of battle.
Rare Candy and daycare isn't allowed.
Up to 15 pokeballs per pokemart.


Started by naming myself Nuzlock
Got a Squirtle which I named Aquaraid.
Defeated my rival Freak.
Met a Rattata on Route 1, but didn't have any pokeballs.
Did the parcel stuff and got my first pokeballs.
Brought 15 pokeballs in Viridian City.
First pokemon met at Route 22: a lvl 5 Spearow that died to a critical bubble.
First pokemon at Route 2: a lvl 3 Rattata which was caught and named Fang.
Grinded Fang to lvl 8 and entered Viridian Forest.
First pokemon: a lvl 3 Caterpie, now called Jon.
Jon evolved to a Metapod.
Jon finally evolved to Butterfree.
Challenged Freak and won using only Fang.
Got through the forest and grinded Aquaraid to lvl 13 and he learned Water Gun.
Defeated Brock and got the running shoes.
On Route 3 the first pokemon I met was: a lvl 7 Pidgey. I named her Anna.
Inside Mt. Moon I met a lvl 7 Zubat. She was named Shelly.
Trained Anna and Shelly.
Aquaraid evolved to Wartortle.

Sign me up for the Sapphire version Nuzlocke, just started it a couple days ago, I'll make an edit with some of my basic progress when I get home from school.

Totally forgot to edit this, but I should before I forget what I did.

Started off with Mudkip
Battled my 'rival' and won
Went to the lab to official receive Mudkip, nicknaming it Reese
Ran around in route 102, 103, and 104 and caught a Poochyena, Zigzagoon, and Wurmple. Nicknamed Tetris, Lexi, and Doxxie.
Did a bunch of grinding before moving into Petalburg Forest.
Caught another Zigazagoon and nicknamed it Zextri.
Lost Poochyena to a critical hit from the first Pokemon, a Zigzagoon, that I ran into right outside the forest once I exit.
Caught a Whismur on the route to the left of the city, also caught another Zigzagoon and named it Tard D:< I kept both Zextri and Tard in the box.
Grinded a whole bunch before challenging Roxanne, Wurmple evolved twice and is now a Dustox.
Probably should have grinded more because I almost lost against Roxanne, but I did win without losing anybody and successfully got my badge.
Went through the whole getting my pokegear process and that's where I'm at right now.
Withdrew Tard and tried to grind a little bit, but forgot that poison actually kills a pokemon outside of battle, so I lost Tard.
Now I'm about to go to that one city that you have to go to by boat, pulling a blank on the name right now.

Update on my Firered Nuzlocke run


Trained and Anna evolved to a Pidgeotto.
Got through Mt. Moon.
First pokemon I met on Route 4 was a lvl 8 Rattata. I caught it and named her Gloriana. She was boxed right away as backup.
After the first fight in the Cerulean gym I needed her, because Fang died to a Shellder. RIP.
Defeated the Nugget Bridge.
The first pokemon to appear on Route 24 was an Abra, but it fled.
On Route 25 I caught another Caterpie lvl 8. Called her Amice and boxed her as backup.
Death must be hunting me now. Shelly was killed by a Rattata on Route 25.
Visited Bill and defeated Misty.

Sorry I've gone so long updateless, I'm going to start over when I get my tablet so I can comic chronicle my challenge.... (I messed up in a lot of spots too anyway so it'd be nice to start over.)

I'll be sure to link them as they're uploaded.
 
Why am I not on the list? :/ I said last page that I'd sign up, but you seemed to have ignored me.
Anyways, here's an update.

-Started adventure. Named myself Matt.
-Rescued Prof. Birch from Poochyena with Torchic.
-Officially received Torchic and Pokedex. Nicknamed Torchic Andy.
-After grinding to Lv.9, beat May's Mudkip, who I wasn't really afraid of to be honest.
-Caught Lotad on the next route. Named her CrazyDuck.
-Battled my way to Petalburg Woods.
-Defeated the Aqua Grunt.
-Got to Rustboro City and beat Roxanne with CrazyDuck, who evolved into Lombre inside the gym.
-Evolved Torchic on the next route.
-Rescued Peeko and got the Devon Goods.
-Sailed to Dewford Town.
-Caught Aron, who I nicknamed IronHide, inside Granite Cave.

status: stopping to heal pokemon, and possibly going back to route 209 to grind/battle skipped trainers. i lost haspop <3. he will be missed. i also lost DUDE WAT, but caught another soon after, as well as bos which stands for (ball of ****) due to the fact that i hate geodude's. recived an egg from a traveler in hearthome city. caught a gastly in the building on route 209. named him karma. recived other items in hearthome, such as a tux and poffins case but that doesn't really matter.

Chapter 4 - a Journey Incomplete

Well, I stormed Gardenia knowing full-well all my pokemon were weak to her type. I'll spare the details- the gory, gory details - but my League conquest ended with her. This is my official restart of Pokemon Pearl Nuzlocke Challenge.
 
Gym Challenge!
Neptune was eager to prove himself worthy of the team, now that he had found strength, and damn he did. Chomping Misty's Staryu in one hit, and her Starmie in two.
Without anything to, we headed to Vermillion City, beating a Rocket Grunt on the way and recovering the TM for Dig. Route 5 proved unsuccessful to get new friends, as the Mankey we encountered was brought down by a lucky hit from Boeing. But Route 6 was where we found him, a Mankey joined the team under the pseudonym of 'Chops'.
Nothing to do on Vermillion City yet. We got ourselves an Old Rod, and a Bike Voucher, which we immediately exchanged for a brand new Bicycle, at Cerulean City.
Back again at Vermillion City, we went to Diglett's cave, catching a Diglett (what are the odds? :O), and naming it Innuendo, and then to Route 11 in which we found a Drowzee, named OMG...
On S.S. Anne, we found our rival, and kicked his ass again. Everyone of the team getting his shot at Blue's pokémon. I think Boeing went a little too far when battling Blue's Raticate. I guess he was still hurt from Spark's loss, but I don't think being that aggressive was justified. Last time I saw, Blue was running to the Pokémon Center, with Raticate on his arms, bleeding profusely.
When getting out of the boat, I found this rare item. I asked around, and they told me that, when taught to a pokémon, it could cut small bushes. I recalled that Vermillion City's gym had a bush blocking it's entrance, and smiled... You're next.

The gym was something I had never seen before, full of traps and secret switches. We fought our way through the trainers, and figured out the secret code. Everyone coincided that Lt. Surge was ferocious. I will admit, I was a little scared myself for everyone's safety, and almost quit, but their reassuring faces gave me the strength I needed to challenge the 'Lightning American'.
Still a little unsure, I opened the fight with my strongest friend, Volvagia. He made short work of Surge's Voltorb and Pikachu, but Raichu's paralysis was too much, and I wasn't so sure about risking one of my best friend's life for a badge. Luckily, Psyfox was ready to take the attack, and land the finishing blow on the Raichu; earning us the Thunderbadge.

I have never been more proud of my team in my entire life.

i had a kadabra on route 210, used mean look to trap it. i then got it's hp down using thief, then i used one of two pokeballs i had left :\. not even one twitch. so i decided to use thief again to put it in the red. i ko'd it.

The Firered Nuzlocke run


Met a Oddish on Route 5, named her Coleen.
I won't walk in the grass on Route 6, because I wan't a pokemon from the water.
Gloriana got killed by a Squirtle.
Arrived in Vermilion City and went to Diglett's Cave.
The first pokemon I met was a lvl 29 Dugtrio. I caught him and called him Burt.
While clearing SS Anna Coleen evolved to a Gloom.
Defeated freak my rival and got Cut.
I met a lvl 17 Spearow as the first pokemon on Route 11. Caught her and she was called Lysette. She'll be a good backup.
Easily defeated Lt Surge with Burt and his Dig.
Caught a Rattata lvl 14 on Route 9, and I called him Hob.
On Route 10 I caught a Ekans lvl 15, now she is called Salina.
Hob evolved to a Raticate.
Caught a lvl 16 Geodude in Rock Tunnel. Named him Rupert.
Skipped Route 8 and caught a lvl 17 Meowth on Route 7. Called her Keely.
Back on Route 8 I made a critical hit on another Meowth so no pokemon on this route.
Cleared out the Rocket Base.
In the fight against Giovanni I lost my oldest friend Aquaraid. I'll complete the game in his honor now.
Took down Erika using Anna and Coleen.
Evolved Coleen to a Vileplume with a leaf stone.
Grinded Anna till she evolved into Pidgeot.
Found a lvl 17 Cubone in Pokemon Tower which I caught and named Earnest.

blacked out. i'm done nuzlocking diamond. as soon as i get my games back from a friend, and can find an sp to borrow, i will try it on red.
