Update 10:
-So it's time to challenge Koga and try to earn my 5th badge. None of my pokémon are particularly strong in this Gym, so I'm relying on pure force to win this.
-Made my way through the gym trainers, half of which had PSYCHIC pokémon... I thought this was a Poison Gym? Anyway from these battles, I concluded that Marvin's Leech Seed was probably my best tactic here.
-I decided to lead with Romulus against Koga, as he would resist Poison attacks well and offer a Physical offense. Worked well enough, as he defeated Koffing fairly easily.
-Koga's Muk gave me a free switch in to Marvin, as he used Minimize. I immediately seeded it, and the slow, slow battle ensued. Koga used 2 frickin' Hyper Potions... but eventually Marvin managed to knock the Muk out.
-Next was Koffing... who I immediately seeded and NO! NO! NOOOOO! God damn it! You did not just do that!!! Self-De-frickin-struct. **** you Koga, **** you.
-Marvin... you were a real powerhouse for me in the run through. RIP. </3 :(:(:(:(:(:(:(
-I switched Bubbles in, who gained some measure of revenge by knocking out Weezing and ending the battle. I had earned my 5th badge... but at what cost?
-I took a moment after the battle to berate Koga for his cheap tactics, and to remember some of Marvin's greatest moments. From soloing the first three Gyms, to two evolutions, to hanging on against Erika to win me my fourth badge, Marvin has truly been my most reliable pokémon. RIP :(

-I end this update in dire straights. Having lost Marvin, I am down to two pokemon... one of which is weak against the next Gym Leader. I may have to take an alternate route to find some new areas to try and catch new team members, but at this point things aren't looking good for me.

Chapter Three: Regret

At the time Kotone realized who "Brick" was, a flash out of nowhere appeared infront of her. Inside the flash was a shadow, a shadow of a figure unidentified, a figure, unreal. "Attack my slave!" said the figure still unreveild by the glimmering light. A Chikorita jumped out from the light and attacked with a flurry of leafs aiming directly at Kotone.

"Chris! Quick Attack now!" The Sentret lunged twords the Chikorita, avoided all leaves thrown at it. The strong blow blew back the Chikorita and headed right at her master. The shadow behind the flash was knocked back and was reveiled. A dark face was shown, right before his hand extended and grabbed Chris, leaving Kotone defenseless.

"No, not Chris! Please let him go!", Kotone said almost fainting from the horror she is witnessing. "My pleasure young girl, your wish will be granted, but don't think you will get the best of it.", the figure dropped the Sentret, who was covered in his own blood. Kotone rushed to Chris, trying to belive this was all some cruel nightmare.

"You monster!", Kotone said clutching her fist in complete anger, "Why must you do this to me, what have I done, who are you!?"

"I am Darkrai, the ruler of fear and the God of Eternal Suffering. You are lucky that I didn't take one of your other useless souls. Besides, he had it comming anyways. Have you ever even paid attention to him?" Kotone thought for a while, and thus beleived Darkrai. She was lost in her obession of her new boots, that she didn't even realize her Pokemon's emotions.

"Just go." Kotone said glaring at the wicked soul, "You took what you wanted to take, now leave."

"As you wish young Kotone, but remember what my pathetic sister said, "There is a cost you will pay later", Darkrai said, disappearing in the dark hole behind him.

Kotone held Chris in her hands and commanded her Pokemon to dig a hole for his funeral.

"Chris, I-I'm sorry."

Notes from the Author: I decided to add more plot into the run because the previous chapters were lacking it. Also Kotone's speech isn't red anymore, it's now Bold. You know, just in case I get a Fire type.

Also, I included another God in this story, as you can see. My approach is the Greek Gods, because if you see a comparison, Arceus is (a female version) of Zeus and Darkrai is Hades.

I have officially started the firered challenge nuzlocke style

After failing a miserable 7 times I caught a gist of hope when I found a little fella called Dream(pikachu) in viridian forest. Trained Hothead(Char) for metal claw and advanced skillfully until reaching vermillion to find the ever so useful level 31 Undertoe(Dugtrio) to completely crush Raichu and his gang after massive loss of my spearow in ss anne I went on a hunt for the rockets so I can earn myself Lochness(Lapras) and travel onwards with my new flying charizard to defeat the fighting dojo to get Jackie(Hitmonchan) then I lost my prescious Overgrowth(Gloom) to a blaine trainer out of cockiness.. onwards from there I lost yet another B.O. (grimer) and rats! (Ratatta) destroying giovanni with Jackie and Lochness and for the art of training I trained crazy at pokemon league (I mean victory road) til my pokemon were a healthy level 50 or higher. Hothead and Dream were already at level 60 from headstart training. I destroyed Lorelei and Bruno.. But now I stand face to face with Agatha.. this is so far the furthest I've gotten..

Chapter Four: A new life, and a new friend.

A young girl in her teens was sulking down the trail in hopes to find a new city. Behind her was a blue crocodile and a big levitating rock. They were walking down the path for hours until they finally decided to rest next to a big pine tree.

"Ok guys, I think we should rest here for the night." Said Kotone, barely able to speak the words. "Ok so let's see what we have for dinner."

Opening her medium-size white purse, she saw that there was only one small chocolate chip cookie, just waiting to be devoured. The trio looked at each other, seeing who would make the first move attempting to take the threat. Being the responsible leader she truly is, Kotone took the cookie and cut it in half.

"Here Brotodile and Brick, I'm going to give the cookie to you two. You guys deserve it way more then I do. Kotone said, still haunted by the tragic death of her team member.

The two starving Pokemon looked at each other, look at Kotone, and looked at each other again. They both nodded, and handed both pieces to Kotone.

"Boss." said Brotodile, wanting her attention. If you are not allowed to take it, we shouldn't be able to either.

"YEAH.." Brick said, slightly depressed. WE'RE A TEAM, WE CAN'T JUST DO THIS TO YOU. WE LAUGH TOGETHER, WE CRY TOGETHER, SO THAT MEANS WE MUST STARVE TOGETHER!"

Kotone just sat there for a while, and suddenly a tear shed from her right eye. Right before she was about to say thank you though, a man with a brown coat and hat lightly tapped on Kotone's shoulder.

Hello miss? said the gentleman, I was just waking home from my company and I happened to notice you and your Pokemon there looking starved.

The old man had a black suitcase filled with important business. He had light brown eyes and a thick gray mustache. He was holding a white egg with red and blue triangles on the side.

"Oh where are my manners! My name is Mr.Pokemon, I am the head of P.N.F, that's the "Pokemon National Federation" for short. Why won't you stay the night at my house. I have a daughter, just a bit older than you are. You to would make good friends. The old man pulled out a photo from his left pocket. On the picture was a small girl, about 5 or 6, with a Pokeball in her hands. That's my daughter see, she was really young when she took this picture. But now that she grew older she absolutely hates taking pictures. Anyway let's go, before it gets dark!"

The old man was leading down the path, while the young trainer sulked behind him. The small crocodile was on top of the floating rocks head carrying the white egg.

"Well we're here! Mr.Pokemon said happily Oh look here, the doors locked! What a unpleasant surprise. I hope my daughter is home, here just wait a second let me knock on the door.

The old man knocked on the door about five times before the door sightly opened.

"Dad, ar-are you finally home?"

I actually have a question for you guys, are you guys enjoying my updates in story format, or should I go back to updates?

But if you guys like it, is there anything I should to to improve it? Should I make it longer or shorter?

I need your guy opinions!

You just go to options and go under battle style, and change it to set.
The effect of this action is that you aren't allowed to switch your Pokemon when your opponent sends out their next Pokemon. It's for added difficulty, really.

Stories are always good. Only thing I'd suggest is that you do slightly bigger story chunks per episode, because if you spend a whole episode getting from Cherrygrove to Mr. Pokemon's house, your Nuzlocke run will take years!

Keep'em coming though, I like stories :)

I in fact love the stories and I was thinking about doing it for my last 3 battles (I have just beat Agatha) but then I realized that Hothead gets a little hot headed when I talk about him so for my saftey I don't think I wanna ^__^ anyways. ALMOST DONE. LANCE, Stupid... here I come!!

Thanks for the responses guys! Here's part 5, which would have really would have been in two parts otherwise.

Chapter 5: Crystal Clear

"Yes it is me! I haven't seen you for a year now!"

The girl behind the door, was in her teens. She had blue hair that went up to her shoulders then pointed upwards. She had a pink shirt and a white jacket, the edges of the jacket were pink. She had gray shorts on with a black lining on the edges of the shorts. Her shoes were in the same style as her shorts but with a pink line going across the toes.

"Hey who's that girl behind you dad?" said the young girl.

"My name is Lyra Kotone, but I prefer my last name Kotone." she said with her left hand on her head feeling a bit nervous.

"Well Kotone, my name is Marina Kris, but I prefer my last name as well!" Kris said, with a big smile on her face Hey I see you have Pokeballs with you, you want to have a battle?"

"I don't see why not, I mean this will be my first battle!" Kotone said, avoiding the fact she had encountered Darkrai.

"Ohohoho, looks like I'll be the judge!" said Mr. Pokemon, anxious to see both trainers abilities
"This will be a 1 vs 1 match, once your Pokemon is fainted the game will be over! Begin!"

"I'll be first!" Kris said confidently "Marill come on out!"

A small plump mouse, the size of a soccer ball was released from the Pokeball. The small mouse had a Red Bandanna, with white words saying "Crystal Clear" on it.

"Ok then!" Kotone said nervously, "Totodile come on out!"

Brotodile appeared on the battle field, with a calm look on his face. Brotodile had many battles when he was with Arceus. So he was used to the climax, he was worried though, that her master Kotone wouldn't know what to do.

"So you have a water type to huh? Looks like there will be no advantages to either player. It's just the matter of who's better. Marill Aqua Jet now!"

The Marill didn't waste any time after that, right after she finished that sentence the plump blue mouse formed water around her body and plunged at Brotodile, at the speed of a launched torpedo.

Brotodile jumped over the Marill. The crocodile didn't have to wait for any command to dodge it. Right after he jumped over the blast of water, a voice was yelled from the other side of the arena.

"Backflip, Brotodile! Then use Water Gun!"

Kotone's Pokemon did what it was commanded it jumped of the wall and performed a back flip. Right when the Marill was landing, the crocodile's mouth was located an inch from the mouse's head and a blast of water launched right at it.

Ok plan B Marill! Let's go now!" Kris said, all hyped up from the heat of the battle.

The Marill curled up in a ball and sprung up, grabbing the Totodile. The Marill raised it about 8 feet in the air and then through him to the ground. Then the Marill taking use of the gravity lunged at the Totodile at high speeds.

Before hitting the Totodile at high speeds, Kris grabbed her Pokeball and returned her Pokemon. "Good job Marill, you did your best."

"Wh-why did you do that for, you were going to win?" Kotone said, shocked by Kris' actions.

"That was the best technique my Marill can do, if my Marill could knock out Falkner's Pidgeotto in one hit with that move, imagine what it could've done to your Totodile? It would've killed him!" Kris said closing her eyes, with her index finger raised up high.

"Wait, who is Falkner?" Kotone said, more curious than she ever was before.

"Falkner is the leader of the Violet City Gym, he uses flying types! If you want I can help you in your journey, I mean I still need need to still beat the other 7 gym leaders!"

Kotone nodded happily, she was glad to have someone like Kris to help her along the way. She was aware that much was needed to be learned before she could be a skilled trainer. She didn't know any cool techniques like Kris knew.

The pair of trainers stayed in the living room floor for the night, they stayed up a bit talking about their Pokemon and sharing each others Pokemon. Kris had another Pokemon, it was a small ghost with beads wrapped around it's neck, it had pink highlights on the edges of it's head. Kris said that it was a Misdreavus. After the lively conversation they decided to go catch one Pokemon for Kotone quickly. The small Pokemon was a green serpentine figure with a red 'Y' figure on it's head. It was a small Caterpie. Kris also caught a serpentine figure as well, it was Yellow and had a small horn on it's head. It was a Weedle

"Don't be surprised if you see that their different tommorow. Caterpie and Weedle are known to evolve quickly." Kris said laying down.

The two slept on the living room floor, they had plans to take on the Gym tommorow. They had plans to be the best.

The update is longer, I wanted to get Falkner done aswell, but the update would be way to tiring for me to finish. I had to take a break mid-update to.

I'm extremely mad that I don't have internet on my computer and have to use a 3g phone so it prevents me from actually posting any of my screenshots but I can proudly say that lance had bowed down to Lochness and the ice beam technique and secondly Stupid was absolutely petrified by Dream and his amazing ability to kill his Blastoise with a simple thunderbolt blowing out his candles with Hotheads fly on exeggutor. Does this mean I have rights to say I finally finished it or do I have to beat the elite 4 a second time??


Oh and I need to add my respects to the dead followers and a fellow teammate who did infact sacrifice his life against Stupid..

Update 11:
-After the tragedy in my last update, I decided that the best course of action I could take would be to try and regroup and capture as many pokémon as possible before taking on Sabrina in Saffron. So my immediate plan of attack was to catch some new pokémon.
-Looking at the Routes available to me, the only Routes I had 'missed' so far were Route 13 and 14. Both required Cut to access them, which wasn't ideal. Route 19 to the South of Fuschia was an option, as was surfing to the Seafoam Islands... but that was it really before Saffron.
-I decided I would have to bite the bullet, and taught Romulus Cut.
-Headed to Route 14 for my first attempt at a capture, where I found a....

-Venonat... okay not bad. Oh god damn it! After doing about a third damage with the first Cut, a crit on the second knocked the Venonat out. I really need to get better at this catching thing...
-Oh well, can't be helped I guess.. onto Route 13 I guess...

-Where I found an Oddish. Which I actually managed to catch! That's my first catch outside of the Safari Zone since the Rock Tunnel! Named Oddish Leaf II.
-Unfortunately Leaf II went the same way as the original Leaf, and passed away after a Crit Faint Attack in a trainer battle. RIP
-Collected the Super Rod and headed to Route 19. Started fishing, and found a...

-Horsea... not great, but would have to do. Caught Horsea and named him Waterhorse.
-Began surfing to the Seafoam Islands. I arrived without any problems, and encountered a...

-Psyduck... okay. Called him headache and left Seafoam.
-Next time. I head to Saffron...

slls, why don't you just grind some more? Later in the game, wild Pokemon are usually 10 levels below trainers, so its unsurprising they're dropping like flies. Get your team to level 40, get two or three more Pokemon on the remaining routes (wait, actually a lot more since it's FRLG and thus contains Sevii) and you should be fine. Or do you play with some kind of rule prohibiting that?

Yeah, I know I need to shut up since I'm having tons of death as well. Speaking of which, I still haven't started rebuilding after my proud team was reduced to nothing but a Gardevoir.
...
I need 5 Pokemon, most of them are at level 30 or a little higher. My team was if I rmember correctly, at 45. That would be around 75 levels of grinding. And that is if there's no lower than 30 mons on the box I forgot... And my team got SLAYED, so I need even more levels... Aaargh, forgot what I said above.

• Took care of business, got Pokedex
• Go to Route 22, catch a Rattata Lv.3
• Go to Route 2, catch Rattata Lv.3
• Go to Viridian Forest, catch Weedle Lv. 4
• Rattata1=Rayanna, Rattata2=Raymore, Weedle= Wanda
• Train a lot, Raymore dies at level 5 because I was not paying attention =[
• Wanda evolves... twice
• Train Squiggles, Rayanna, and Wanda to lv. 13 so Squiggles and Rayanna can learn Water Gun and Hyper Fang respectively.
• Beat Rival, got through forest properly
• Defeated Brock
• Go to Route 3, took down a Spearow due to critical hit Poision Sting from Wanda
• Squiggles evolves
• Visit Mt. Moon, catch Geodude named Geode
• Train Geode then defat the rest of trainers on Rt. 3
• Go through Mt. Moon
• Go to Rt. 4, catch another Rattata named Raz.
• Train everyone but Raz to around lv20, then defeat rival
• Rayanna evolves while destroying nugget bridge
• Go to Rt.24, see abra. Abra teleports
• Go to Rt. 25, see abra,abra teleports.
• Sigh deeply then make way to Bill's house.

Well this isn't the first time he's posted them in this thread, and the art style looks similar to his avatar. The most suspicious thing about his run is that he actually had the determination to grind past Lv. 50 in HG/SS.
