I've remembered the American and the Mc Donald's commericals since I was 5 years old!

The Japanese commercial is spectacular though.

Here is something very interesting that I've discovered. The tower in World 5 of SMB3 is most likely a reference to the Tower of Babel, which is described in Genesis as being a structure created by humanity to reach the heavens (which would make sense, seeing as how Mario uses the World 5 tower for the same reason). The SMB3 tower is strikingly similar to most artists' renditions of the Tower of Babel.
