Your theory is dead wrong. Ghosts aren't videos, and when a violent event occurs, there's no sort of place in time for it besides history. No one can exactly "view" or re-experience something in the past. Don't give me any remarks with time machines in them, those don't exist in Sinnoh or anywhere else.

Energy from an event happening? The only energy that comes from an event is natural shock. Not some "Aura of an event."

Wow you seem nice. Especially since the Sarcasm detector is going off the scale. Thanks for the feed-back. Plus it's not my theory.
 
All I know is that the old chateau is based off The original old chateau in france
 
Does that mean that there are other places based off real areas in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl?
 
Yeah.kanto was based on a place in Japan that was named Kanto

Pretty cool but I don't really think a Region named Tokyo would be cool. Lol just kidding.
 
Well we're getting off topic, but the regions aren't based off of cities, they're based off of actual regions. The Kanto Region is the obvious one, then all of the others are pretty much the exact, or nearly exact shape of other regions. (But you have to rotate Hoenn)

As for the Old Chateau, yes it probably is based off the one in France. I actually saw a movie called "The Ninth Gate" with Johnny Depp last night, and it had a Chateau. I don't know if it was the Old Chateau, but it was used as a meeting place for an evil cult. Perhaps a cult led by...Cheryl and Gardenia?!

I'm not giving up my theory.
 
According Short Range's idea about ghosts being "videos", the girl can be alive. The only two sister (or cousin or whatever) pair I'm thinking of is Agatha and Bertha. They look almost the same, though Agatha seems to be older. Why they live in different regions now? I don't know, but I know Kanto is near Sinnoh.
 
Not my Idea though. Came from a book called... umm... I think something like... "How to track ghosts: The unexplaned" or something like that...
 
ok heres my two cents

1.rember mr.backlot has a son or daughter in front of the mansion

maybe thats where the girl in the chateu comes into play

2.the picture that looks like R.O.B is a clue

the murder might have been 20 years ago when Gardinia was a child
 
hmmmmmm maby the pokemon statue that the rich guy (4gets his name) holds the secret of the old chateau.... i have allways wondered what it said.....
 
There's always the off chance that ya know, they're just ghosts put in there to add a more spooky aspect to Pokemon, dealing with the issue of death in a more hands on way.

I don't think either mansion is connected, I assume that those doors that the maids block are put in there just to raise suspicion and curiosity for the gamer(s).
 
The old Chateau is really scary. I was in it last night and saw the butler and the girl. FREAKY. But I dont get some posts here is tht since when are ghosts REAL in pkmn games. And since when are they videos...o.0

But yeah, I'm yet to spy the girl or butler, but I did see the ol' painting.

On topic: My theory is that it was the butler in the kitchen with the knife!
 
Ghosts aren't videoes. They are only like videoes 'cause some of them can't see what's going on around them. To the ghost it seems like they have just been reliving the past. Spirits are the ones that notice things and run away when they see someone because they are aware of their surrondings. Again this is from that ghost book I read.
