So…ya…ever had one of those moments you can just tell your going to have computer problems in the future?

I got two that stick out.
    1. When I found out my computer could not accept PC3200 RAM. That told me this computer was not going to treat me well.

    2. Working on my Aunts new laptop. No CD/DVD burner, no wireless, only 2 USB ports, and no recovery (Windows XP) CD's, automated recovery. She's going to break this thing a few times to, I can tell I'm in for a long painful experience. Fixing a computer and getting all the windows updates over 56K sucks.

Not knowing what you're doing when clicking the dialog boxes generated by Spybot's Resident IE to stop registry changes. Not a friendly thing, mind.

Not knowing what you're doing when you click to allow everything through your firewall :D

When explorer.exe suddenly stops loading no matter what you do...

New: Random popup telling you to buy Spyware and Anti-Virus scanner

What happened: 5-6 hrs of Spyware removal and Trojon learing.

Gateway laptops. Seriously, I pick one up now knowing the battery will be dead if it's given to us.

    1. My brother got a cool one - Battery doesn't work so he has to run from powerpoint.
    2. Got one donated to our charity business, didn't turn on.
    3. I have one on top of my old IBM Thinkpad, just like case 1. :p

Well, it's hardly surprising considering how long ago Gateway folded, Joshua.

Gateway still makes computers. Yes, there labtops do suck, and I've seen the battery issue allot at my job, also there CD drives wear out easily.
