The old PC

Something just hit me (not literally =P). When members from the old PC reregistered, why didn't they get their post counts/join dates restored? I was just wondering after I saw Jake's join date...

It's only because Jake's had so many name changes, and the fact that he's a mod (Alexis got all his post count back when he changed his name), that all his previous usernames were merged together. ^_^

I mean, why couldn't they ask for their join date/post count to be restored?

Can you imagine restoring what would have been then about 4000 members post counts? Even most staff don't have their old accounts from old PC merged with the new ones, so sorry but that can't really be done ^^;

Actually, there was only about 1,000 members, many of which decided not to reregister. I was referring to those few members who reregistered.

Even so, the staff merging hundreds of users past accounts would take up a lot of time. Post count isn't that important, so it'd be a huge effort for something which is relatively unimportant ^^;

Well the reason why we didn't change the post count and join date and stuff was because this is a new PC. Lots of members wanted their post count back (I wish Kwesi's thread wasn't deleted, that way you could see how many people wanted it back XD) but at the time Steve and Kwesi was the only two Admins on PC much. They were the only ones that could edit that kind of stuff. So it would have been a lot for them to change everything with everyone that wanted it.
