The only reason I really play

    The only reason I really am motivated to move forward in pokemon games is
    simply just to evolve my pokemon. After they are all evolved its all like........ehh for me lol. Are you guys the same?
     
    Yah Sort of in the sense if my Pokemon is fully evolved or a one tier evo I get kind of bored with it,like evolution is a reason to train it I also loose interest after I beat the E4.
     
    I play the games for battling and evolving my Pokemon, as well as the storyline in the game itself. After that, I battle competitively from there.
     
    Pretty much what everyone said so far. I play it just to have fun. The Pokedex requires too much work, lol. Trading and what not. I've attempted it at once and just gave up after 160-170. (Crystal)
     
    I just play and complete the game, then trade my good Pokemon to a storage game, and restart, usually. lol
     
    The funny thing is, I never even use pokemon who don't evolve, I'd rather use a worse pokemon that does evolve haha
     
    I play it so that I can get my team of favorites while catching every pokemon in the game.
     
    Nah, I enjoy battling with my favorites. I think it's interesting to experiment with different move combination.
     
    I usually train them to 50 : so I can both evolve them AND humiliatebeat my friends with Pokemon games. They all train their Pokemon to Lv. 100, but I convinced them to have flat battles. So, it all boils down to strategy ; since we don't EV Train.

    And I usually don't restart my games... my "storage" game is my HG ; I clocked 280 hours into it, and my powerhouses are there. It used to be my Plat., but I eventually traded stuff over (I even made a giveaway at school !), and moved to HG.
     
    I like to look for shinies :3 don't know about you people though....
     
    I think it's just to catch the cool/cute looking Pokemon and to keep me from being bored I guess

    And this is why people like Dragon types so much lol.
    Seriously though, that's one of the only reasons I ever train Dragon types.

    Anyway after I beat the game I train more pokemon. Which means..... More evolutions :D

    That actually sounds like a good idea. If I owned HG and SS, I'd probably do that. But I only have Silver and Blue, and just one Game Boy. :/

    I'd imagine your storage game is almost full.
