Just burned through The Ring and Eat-Man this evening !_!; I go through manga too fast XD What's the proper way to say that BTW? I say "maign-ga"/"mayn-ga" [same pronounciation...but I spelled it differently for those of you who didn't understand the first way XD] But is that how you say it?
 
I'd always say maanga and type it manga. I guess it's the canadian accent which led me to say it that way. My karate instructor always pronounces japanese words with a very strong, deep voice. I'd imagine that the japanese would quickly letting out as much air from their lungs as they can while keeping it comprehensible, at least that's what my karate instructor does.
 
My problem was that I didn't know anyone around me who actually read manga, so I had to learn how to pronounce it on my own...I finally learned from someone who had a copy of Shonen Jump at school one day...
