I have used a master ball in the games, and hoppip isn't that weak, well it's evolution aren't.

true, i have yet to get to the Battle Frontier actually! despite the fact i've had the game for over 2 years...

Actually I've caught all of my Legendaries without Master Balls. (Except Arceus)
