The PokéCommunity Artstravaganza - Discussion Thread

Hmm.......I'm gonna check these entries out.....
 
Fuu.... O_O Um, yeah, I'd better get my butt in gear too. ^^;;;

For the entries so far:

Swizzler: Aww! It's adorable! Though, I've never heard of it before, it certainly looks magical. ^-^ A nice contrast to the usual dragon/griffon/unicron thing. Not that those are bad, they've just been drawn so much.

DragonHeart: I love that pic! X_X So beautiful... I just wanna reach out and pet the cute dragon. ^-^ It's really a lovely picture, and it's certainly worthy of the contest!

Blaziken: Hm, I like this one! Really interesting style, it makes me think of stained glass or something. Nice colors too.

PokeSTAR: Oh wow! Really nicely done fur and stuff! I really like it. It's very simple and light and yet it has such character in it too. I love the horns as well. Very nice!

You guys are so good! This month has definitely got some competition!! And FNA your unicorn is looking awesomer by the second!!! O.O Take your time, I wanna see this thing done the way you want it done! ^___^

Man I just got mine in and all we are missing in the srtist catagory is Light azumarill =D! Come on ^_^ Even if it's not finished it's worth entering befor it ends =3. Though we would still love to see it in it's full veiw as finished ^^.

At this moment, I was nervious but after I posted my drawing I knew it was out there and the choices the judges have is up to them wether it's compleat in a sertan way or not XD So I'm pretty laxed at the moment and after a long day I'm glad too. I'll possibly freak in the morning but thats tomorrow :Basks in today:

¬¬ btw:smacks Cybex playfuly: It's five almost four days away from the contest ending lol.. Nice way though XD got us all going!. Still have and I'm just antisapaiting Light azumerill.

For next month, I really should try colouring my pics differently... but I can't watercolour.

Wow some more awesome entries since I last looked ^-^ Glad you managed to finish yours FreeNature..I love ...CrystalClaire...i think it was... I love her really original idea of a misty mermaid! You get an iggy hug for your effort from me if that countsas an award at all...though i think everyone that entered deserves one *iggy hugs every entrant* they're all stunning...gotta say though i wish i could see the detail more on cowries...i'm guessing its awesome as what i can see is....it's just a wee but dark on my comp...but i bet its my screen resizing it too much so i hope everyone else is enjoying it. The judging draws near..I just wanted to take this oppertunity to congratulate everyone on fantastic entries and wish you all every bit of luck (not that you need it ^-^)

Woot! The contest is almost over. I'm suspecting a win for FNA. That Unicorn looks awesome, and a lot of work.

Comments on everone's art who has entered before now:
Stevo-kun: Very pretty. Not very sure lines though. Also a nice try on texture.
Chriz: That's me, skipped.
Pokedragonfire: A lacking pose but a interesting concept. Shading isn't very consistent with lightsource. Pluss an obsering watermark, it tends to annoy some people.
Overlord IX: Zero or none shading, not a great feature. Also very straight lines.
JBCBlank: Cute! The minor cellshading is good. A great piture for paint. The lines are a little shaky.
kohei: Oekaki like, nice. I love the white hair. Might want to work on perspective.
igtica: Ooh, dragon coolness. Texture is good, also it's cool it has no lines.
Swizzler121: Fuzzy & Plain.
DragonHeart: Love the blue dragon. Defiently a star.
Blazikenlvl100: Nice standard dragon. I'm not too fond of the coloring though.
ポケSTAR-girl: He's such a cute, tough guy! Great linework & color.
Crystal Clair: Good on effort. He tail looks to short and unlifelike to me. Also I can't tell if she is in or out of water.
Cowrie: OMG, that is Beautiful! I love the realism! <3
Freenaturearts: Easy to tell you spent a lot of time on it. I bet it it was totally finished that it would be hard to tell you did it on computer!
I advise using https://imageshack.us/ instead of taking space on PC's servers.
 
Well, I'M gonna start judging and pass my results to Forest.
