Beat that title.
PHC, my game, was my attempt to make a free roaming Pokemon world...
In essence, I failed, because I couldn't get the transition to work at the corners when I added a second layer to it, and I scrapped the second layer at the second map.
I have a 15 panel (32x32ea) looped world, with collision data for all maps, and working on Pokemon data for the rest.

I was going to try and make it a 15x15 world, but because the game glitches up at the 4 corners places... I don't think I will be able to do it.
I will post pictures of my map when I get 15 posts.
The world has already a road going along its entire width at the center, and I was going to branch it out so as to have the river, ocean, mountains, forests, fields etc grow and shrink as a real world would, and not be a linear game like the originals are.
When I see the normal Pokemon games, I see things that do not happen in real life. Forests always allow some sort of passage in all directions, and small cliffs do not impede movement. Rivers and oceans do not have rock walls preventing people from swimming or surfing farther than "a higher power" wants them to...
My only edit to the main part of the game, and the entrance to my "World," the bedroom of the main hero charcter.
Also, if you look at the end of the right side of my map, there is a route with a fenced section of grass that says "MUD." There have never been any area where the starter Pokemon are catchable wild... But in the anime, they show a Mudkips breeding house. I decided to add this as the point where you enter my world.
I will post a .ips once I have the insides of buildings mapped out, and all the routes "Pokemon'd."
