4th Gen The Pokedex of Gen 2.

You know, you're not alone here because a lot of the Pokedexes are based on Nintendo gaming handhelds, most of them based on what the current system was at the time the game came out such as the original Hoenn Dex being a Gameboy Advance, the Sinnoh Dex being a Nintendo DS, and so on.

However there are some that don't really resemble the handhelds, such as the Unova and Kalos Dexes, the former of which looks much closer in design to an iPod.

The original Hoenn dex looked nothing like a GBA:

And, the PokéNav Plus from ORAS strongly resembles a GBA SP:
