    The Pokemon Acquisition Challenge
    In an attempt to make the game seem more like what goes on in the actual tv show, as well as just give players a different kind of challenge, i have created the "Pokemon Acquisition Challenge" in which players can only use pokemon given to them by NPC characters in the game.

    Rules:
    - Only G/S/C versions
    - Emulators are allowed
    - You can only use pokemon aquired through other in-game NPCs (i.e. Oaks starter, bills Eeevee, Tyrogue, etc)
    - you may use ONE other pokemon of your choice
    - you may not use legendary pokemon ( ho-oh, lugia, 3 dogs, mewtwo)
    - you may not use TMs on aquired pokemon ( chosen pokemon ok)
    - Sudowoodo, Snorlax, and Lapras may be used as an acquired pokemon
    - you may use pokemon acquired in trades with NPCs
    - you may use an alternate pokemon to SURF through the cave and acquire Lapras, then discontinue use of that pokemon
    - HM slaves are allowed
    - notify me when you beat the Elite Four so i can label it next to your name, however the entire challenge is completed when you defeat Red.

    These Are NOT Acquired Pokemon:
    - pokemon from bug catching contests
    - pokemon from the Game Corner
    - pokemon from eggs (except togepi, mystery egg)
    - Red Garydos
    - Pokemon caught in swarms

    carry out discussions and progress on your adventures here, screenshots are nice. dont fear of spamming, just keep discussion going. be social and active.

    Uh, may I know, when does this challenge end? After Elite Four or after Red, also can I know is there any Water type aquirable? (except for Vaporeon and Feraligatr.)
     
    ah well after you finish the elite four tell me and ill label it next to your name, and then when you beat red ill label you "completed." so i mean you can stop at the elite four if you want, or continue.

    as for water types i hadnt noticed that and since u need them to complete the game i will make Lapras available as an acquired pokemon. thanks for bringing that up!

    Challenge Started 02/12/09.

    Pokémon Silver / Start Day!
    • Started the game. Named myself GOLD.
    • Got my Starter Pokémon, Cyndaquil. No nickname as of yet.
    • Got a Potion from Generous Lab Assistant.
    • Set off for Mister Pokémon.

    First things first, Pokemon Explorers of Time and Darkness
     
    ok so i finally got started.

    - i started a new game and named myself HALLDOR and my rival YANSON
    - i chose Totodile as my starter
    - i recieved the pokemon egg from Oaks aid in violet city
    - i recieved HM05 Flash from sprout tower
    - i recieved the Zephyrbadge from Falnker at the violet gym
    - my Totodile evolved into Croconaw
    - i set south from violet city and saved outside the cave
