Ok, I just recently decided to pick up this game after like, I dunno, at least half a decade, though just to complete the Steel guy's post story thing. After that I'm probably going to have to repeat that again and again though since looking at my current progress here I don't think I'll be able to make it through the other post story plot things. Anyways, here is where we all discuss random stuff regarding the game! Such as:

Are you still playing it? Yeah basic question.

Which did you choose between the Ground and Psychic guys? I chose the Psychic guy AND IT WAS FUCKING HORRENDOUS HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO BAD FUCK THAT PLACE AND FUCK THAT RANDOM ABILITY THAT ACE HAD AND THE PSYCHIC MAN's WIFE IS ONE OF THE UGLIEST FUCKING CHARACTERS EVER SHE MAKES ME PUKE GODDAMNIT WHY DID I CHOOSE THAT SHITHOLE WHY??? AND THE PSYCHIC MANS WIFE IS SUPER UGLY AND IM AFRAID AND I DESERVED TO SAY THAT TWICE.

What teams did you commonly use? I'm not too interested but I feel ad if others might so ok.

How are things going with you guys on the postgame? Might as well ask.

Favourite character? Least favourite character? Most/least attractive character? Basically overall can discuss characters too.

Want this to get a sequel? I guess we could use the "which spinoffs should get a new sequel" thread but not too many people mentioned this game so I guess it's fine to share here.

And also feel free to discuss the game's logic as well. Because some of the logic in this game is some of the most overlooked. For example, in the mines, sometime a random guy will give you an item that either increses the money you get or make you lose all of it by breaking. The items include stuff like pickaxes and... gloves. WHY? HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR GLOVES TO BREAK? THEY ARE ON YOUR FUCKING HANDS! JUST WHY?? Oh and your characters 'evolving' I can just never get behind that. Imagine if you could press th B button, you'd probably be able to see your character naked.

Although I don't own the game anymore, I actually had a lot of fun with Conquest and I genuinely think it's an underrated spin-off. My only grievance with it is the post-game because iirc I don't think you keep the team that you've used throughout the whole story and instead you use random ones (again, this is from the best of my recollection, so I may be wrong here). I felt really frustrated with that because I've worked really hard on my own team so to not have that for any of the post-game quests... is a huge bummer, haha.

But overall, great game and definitely something I'd play again in the future!

I greatly considered making a new thread for the 5th anniversary of this one, but I think it's fine to revive this one especially since it had only one reply thus far. Also, how about some commentary on my original post?

From after I said that, I think I completed just 3 more postgame stories and the game was untouched for a few years until now.

Decided to come back out of morbid curiousity and to try and play the game correctly since I know didn't back when I was a kid. And holy shit I'm having a blast.

And I picked the Ground kingdom this time, and I'm so glad I did. Seriously, I think it's a complete dumbass move that you have to choose kingdoms and have the other one come for free. I mean, back then I saw the Psychic kingdom was lower powered and thought that would be better but nope! And the way the game plotted it out was also lame. Well I'm glad I picked the right place in my current playthrough.

I acknowledged that I should have actually tried using more of the characters this time and now things are going better.
