Name: Arianna
Nickname: For those that like her, Ari. For those that hate/dislike her, Ariados.
Age: 15
Sex: Female
Dorm: Entei
Appearance:
Personality: Ari is rather socially awkward. She's shy and (mostly) unwilling to approach people she doesn't know for conversation. This has led to her being "friendless" (aside from her Pokémon, of course) for most of her life. She'd love to be able to interact with people more easily; she doesn't want to be alone for all of her life. But, Ari has no idea how she'd be able to get herself into that outgoing mindset. Arianna is mostly in control of her emotions, unless she's in a competition.
Arianna is a lot more competitive than one would think. She love's the thrill that competition gives her, but she often takes things way too far. When she's competing, Ari is practically a completely different person. She become's much louder than she normally is (and she normally speaks at a medium volume). Ari also become's rude and sometimes angry, which is a rare state to see her in when she's her normal self.
Ari is not too fond of bug type Pokémon, (as in, she'd like nothing more than for nearly every species to suddenly go extinct) with her absolute least favourites being Spinarak and Ariados. She has no idea why she has this immense hatred of bugs, but Arianna doesn't care. She just knows that she hates them. On the opposite side of her hate scale are dark type Pokémon. Although, this is more so because she aspires to be like Karen of the Indigo Elite 4, rather than something she began to like for herself.
Speaking of which, Karen is Arianna's role-model and idol. She hopes that she'll turn out half as good as the fantastically amazing dark-type master.
History: Arianna never knew her parents. Her earliest memories are only those of the orphanage. And they aren't exactly her fondest memories. She remembers being lonely in her early childhood, never making many/any friends. Ari ended up just sitting alone on her bed most days, only talking to people when it was necessary. This lasted for nearly 13 years of Arianna's life, changing when the orphanage she lived at received a special visitor.
One unassuming day, they were told that a secret guest was arriving and apparently they were some great Pokémon trainer. At first, she wasn't excited, nor was she interested in the arrival of a visitor at all. It'd probably just be a publicity stunt for the person. It's not like they'd actually care about them anyway. So, she was fully prepared to just sulk in her room, like always. She could slightly hear some of the voices from outside her bedroom door. Some squeals, laughter. After a while, the commotion from outside had began to settle down. Ari could hear a muffled voice give a farewell before it retreated into a closer room.
And then, something knocked against her door. Arianna didn't respond, hoping that whoever was out there would leave her alone. But the knocking was persistent. After being unable to bear the knocking anymore, Ari let the person in. To her surprise, it was the trainer that was visiting the orphanage. Karen of the Indigo Elite 4. The bluish-grey haired woman walked over to Arianna's bed, sitting down without saying a single word. She gestured for Ari to shut the door behind her and sit down next to her.
She talked to her for a while, being much more down to earth than Ari had expected her to be. As the minutes flew by Ari began liking Karen more and more, to the point of near obsession. Eventually, Karen had to leave the orphanage. However, her farewell wasn't without a few words of encouragement. Karen's talk with Arianna inspired her to make something of her life, and she vowed to become like the master trainer.
Arianna immediately began to scavenge enough money for some Pokéballs. Once she had saved enough, Ari bought 2 Pokéballs (One as a spare, in case the first one failed). She then set out to catch her first Pokémon. After about a day or two of searching, Arianna found the perfect Pokémon. A Houndour. She tried to capture it immediately, but the Pokémon angrily busted out of the Pokéball mere seconds after the ball touched it. She was then chased around the field by a practically insane dog, but some lucky manoeuvring forced the puppy to crash into a tree. Ari tried her luck a second time, but unlike her first attempt, she succeeded.
As she continued to get older and older, it became readily apparent to Ari that she wasn't going to be getting adopted. Things weren't looking great for the girl, until she spotted a flyer for a high-quality Pokémon training academy. Best of all, it was (for the most part) free. However, it was required to pass some preliminary exams to get accepted. After gaining the permission from her only caregiver, the owner of her orphanage, she registered for the academy. Ari began pouring every last ounce of effort into preparations for the preliminary exams. Preparations for the first day of the rest of her life.
Pokémon:
Species: Houndour (Female)
Nickname: Holly
Personality: Holly is incredibly protective over Arianna and will get aggressive whenever she notice's a possible threat to her safety. This would be a good thing, if it weren't for the fact that Holly is a jealous little Houndour. While she loves her master to death, she doesn't like other people and will bark and growl at the slightest movements of those she views as a threat/everyone.
Lvl:18
Moves: Ember, Bite, Nasty Plot, Smog and Roar.
Species: Deino (Male)
Nickname: Einstein
Personality: Violent, aggressive and simple-minded. Which is ironic when one considers his nickname. Einstein has very little concern for anyone's safety, including his own.
Lvl:17
Moves: Dragon Breath, Bite, Earth Power and Facade.
Species: Cacnea (Female)
Nickname: Kacey
Personality: Arianna's nicest Pokémon. Kacey is very kind and loving, often showing her affection towards everything in the form of hugs. Which is unfortunate, because Kacey happens to have a bunch of spikes scattered around her body. Even more unfortunate is the fact that she's completely oblivious to any pain she may inflict on people.
Lvl: 16
Moves: Poison Sting, Absorb, Leech Seed, Growth and Low Kick.
