Well it might be now, I've been gone too long to know how the good mannered way to do it is.

Way back when, you either had a crush on the person who was crushing on you, or if you didn't. You kind of just put your name on his or her list and didn't really say anything. Either way the polite thing to do was to say nothing at all. But I suppose a "Thank you" is better, although it doesn't quite fit into the conversation... XD

Ah...the good ol' days when everything was so simplistic...
