The Reciprocal of Love is...

Absolutely - such is life! It was rarely more than a crush, but it still sucked. I've asked guys out and got rejected (in one case finding out a year later that actually he did like me, but that was his loss).

The way to move on is not to dwell on it, and to dive into something else you care about, be it seeing friends or engaging in a hobby. Unreciprocated attraction and rejection totally suck, but you have to move past it.

I had a crush on a dude in 7th grade, told him how I felt. He immediately hated me for that. I was heartbroken. But then again I had no idea what the heck I was doing.

Hating someone for admitting feelings seems a bit overkill...If anything, he should have been flattered.

I always figured that even if it's rejection, on the bright side, it could potentially mean being one step closer to meeting the one who would be right for you c:

I've been through this and am kind of experiencing it now in a way It will really depend on how things unfold over the next few weeks. We'll see.

Yeah, happens all the time. I mean think about it, what are the actual odds someone YOU like also happens to like YOU. Whoa, like what a miracle right.

I've had feelings for a few different people who didn't feel the same. Likewise, I've been on the other side, and someone's had feelings for me that I didn't reciprocate, which isn't fun either.

Though, both of them seem to be the only thing that ever happens.

I haven't been in a situation where the feelings have been mutual in a couple of years.
