The Red Plague: Teaming with Justice

THE PROBLEM

"first you get this searing pain and an undescribile migraine. then your sight blurs to red. the last thing you feel is anger and pure rage." thats what the survivers say. after that they can't remember anything, but others have seen what happens next. "they begin roaring and shouting. they destroy without thought or strategy just abllierating all in their path. the rampage can last for weeks, but most pokemon don't survive that long. they don't feel pain yet still receive it, they can't see and thus are blind to danger, and they strike at others who then strike back."

THE MISSION

I now need your help. I am spirit of the world. this mysterious disease "the Red Plague" has taken many lives and is also destroying the earth which we call home. i call out to you unkown heros to take the first step and help solve this mystery. a friend of mine "Darkento" is looking for new pokemon to recruit for his guild. i beg you to join the guild and begin your journey.

THE GUILD

now by joining the guild your mission is to help life continue on as normal as possible as well as finding the cure and a vaccine for the red plague. while a member of the guild you can travel as often as you want to other places, but you only receive rewards from the guild head after completing a mission. being a member also lets you recruit other pokemon to expand your team (i ask that you limit the number of recruit you get per page so that you can focus on the main plot.)

THE MAIN CHARACTERS FROM PLOT

"The Spirit" a being which embodies the earth and shows itself in times of great distress

Darkento the guild head. he has been enlightened to the ways of justice, honor, humility, and peace by the legendary pokemon of the distant past. he is a Scyther with gary and black coloration.

THE TOWN

the main town is Gysear town has these main locations

Marketplace:
MooMoo Bakery (sells food)
NidoKing Tavern (social area)
Magnimite Gear (equipment shop)

Old Gysear:
Misdrevious sisters' shop (misc. 1 use items)
Honchkrow's black market (rare item shop very expensive)

Guild Center:
Machamp Forge (specialty equipment)
Pidgey Post (mission depot)
training feilds (no explanation required)

THE WORLD

the world is broken up into a few basic locations. the aventure locations have the types of pokemon which can be found there. the places without pokemon types next to them are other towns travel there to do what they say.

the dungeons are ranked by difficulty. as we procced more of the dungeons will be unlocked. these dungeons are the starter dungeons.

"wild" pokemon in Rank 1 dungeons are levels 2-6
babies and basics
no psuedo legendaries in these dungeons(if you want a list i can add one)

1 Skyline Forest: flying, bug, grass, poison
1 Thunder Hill: electric, normal, fighting
1 Opal Tunnel: rock, ground, dragon, ice, ghost
1 Balist Beach: water (salt), normal
1 Lava Tube: fire, steel, dark
1 Crystal Spring: water (fresh), psychic, rock

(fresh and salt define what pokemon live in the water ex.[krabby is a river crab thus it lives in fresh water while mantine is a sea ray thus it lives in salt water] thus is such a fun word )

SIGN UPS

when your character decides to join the guild they will have just heard what "The Spirit" had just said in the begining of the post. you need to build your characters next actions off of that.

each RPer will work with 1 other character (RPer) to make a team. you have to ask to join a team if you don't make one or i'll ask for you. then you can recruit NPCs.

there is going to be a level system. after each mission i'll access the mission objectives, any battling you did, and i'll take i tiny look at your RPing. (the levels are really important with the missions and the locations.)

RULES please read or at least look them over.


all beginner pokemon must be baby or basic and no legends. (riolu and togepi are basic. lucario and togekiss are not)

no one can have the same pokemon

when adventuring make sure that the pokemon you meet make sense (no lotad falling from the sky [humor] ) and again no evolved (until i say so) or legendary pokemon basic and baby only

posting location would be very helpful

even though you are on a team you don't have stay with your partner all the time

your team can only have one mission at a time (so if you do split up your team you can't take on different missions)

PG-13 for violence and very mlid language no "mating"

MECHANICS just as important as rules

recruit pokemon using an interesting event in some way. examples: a great battle, help them in some way, earn their respect.

you can recruit NPCs after your first mission.

evolution is done by using a stone which can be received from "the spirit" (the DM/ me) when you are ready (just ask me [PM] and if your doing good in at the RP you probably can have it)

missions are posted in first Start Up post (as soon as i can get that up)

there is more than one legendary per species (ex more than one zapdos). If we get far enough legendaries will included.

i hope that you understand that i am only laying a foundation that you can build almost anything off of.

[Lilliana]

Name: Kemina

Species: Glameow

Special traits: She's a shiny

Personality: Kemina is a very withdrawn Pokemon. She's a follower and not a leader so she's not going to lead a Team. She follows orders perfectly and doesn't speak much choosing to act first ask questions later. She's also very loyal to those she calls friends and can be very protective of those she cares about going at anything to keep them from harms way.

Background: Kemina was hatched in a clan of Glameow that for centuries had left the smallest of the clan behind to fend for themselves. Kemina was the one the clan left behind and she was forced to fend for herself until she joined the guild. Kemina's life growing up is what caused Kemina's withdrawn personality. Kemina has many reason's for joining the guild her main two being to first prove to the clan that abandoned her that a runt can amount to something. Her second reason being to make a good difference in the world by helping Pokemon in need.

Special traits:(image no longer exists)

Personality: a silent serious pokemon. he speaks very little, but communicates a lot with body language. he isn't easily distracted. when he gains his focus on something its near impossible to get him off task. he also focuses in on some of the most minute details then he's able to build an entire portfolio on the subject.

Background: Raedyn grew up alone. His parents had come from a rich family which lived on their own property. When they fled from they're estate Raedyn became separated from his parents. One of his families servants, Sebastian, didn't make it away in time and caught the plague, so when Raedyn tried to go back he was attacked and had no way to figure out where his parents went. Raedyn got a job and eventually a house in Gysear. He's lived there ever since.

Move set: growl, confusion, shock wave (could learn it in gen. 3)

Special traits: None

Personality: Aero is a Brave Pokemon. He does not like to be sneaked up on. If you do this he will attack you but say sorry afterwards. He is sometimes shy when talking to girl Pokemon. He is sorta impatient waiting for others which might tend to make him take the lead. He isn't much of a leader so he decided to join teams with leaders. He is very offensive and takes things very seriously. He dose not joke around in serious situations. When there is time to joke he will.

History: Aero was born millions of years ago. He was turned into a fossil during his teenage years after the rest of his family died out or died of failing to be revived. When he woke up millions of years later. He was known as the first successful revived fossil. He woke up in a cave with a glowing ball next to him. It was something he did not know about. It disappeared after he started to flap his wings once again. He flew back to the guild and joined a team called Oracle. He remembered being alone and did not know where his family is. He was the son of the last Aerodactyl clan cheif. They were formed millions of years ago. 100 years before he was born.

Move set: Wing attack, Ice fang, Thunder fang, fire fang.

Team Name: Oracle

this applies to both of you. you start at level five so you can only have the moves that you know at level five plus a TM move.

glameow knows fake out and scratch at level 5. then you have a TM move.

aerodactyl can know: ice fang, fire fang, thunder fang, wing attack, supersonic, bite, or scary face. (since you have so many choices I hope you're ok without a starting TM move. me and Lilliana only have two moves at level 5.)

also have you seen the PMD games? (they old school civilizations. so i suggest that he is revived in a different way)

i took Aero since i saw that he wanted to join my team first, and that Raedyn and kemina are both quiet types so it might be hard for them to co-ordinate. (no offense Lilliana)

Personality: Dark is a Lonely Pokemon. He's some kind Bold aswell. He never listen to anyone, he's also careless, he doesn't have much friends either... Dark is very determined, he's never giving up.

Background: When Dark was a child, he's mother Zoroark was killed by a mysterious thing. Dark was living with Zoroark's best friend Lucario, she and Zoroark met when they were still a children. Few years later Dark left Lucario's house. He joined guild and created a Team Shadow. He's planning to defeat a mysterious thing, that attacked he's family.

Moveset: Scratch, Leer, Pursuit, Shadow Ball

Aero flew as fast as he could to the guild. He was tired by the time he was half way there. He was glad to be accepted there after so many years of waiting. He flew the rest of the way there collapsing a few times. "I wonder who will be on my team... Team Oracle. I wonder who is the leader." He said now walking on his to tiny feet. When he started flying again he saw the guild. "It's just up ahead!" He said charging forward and heading inside the guild. "Wow!" He said heading inside the large guild with some Pokemon running around. He went to the Guild masters Room. "I'm a part of Team Oracle. Has the leader arrived yet?" He asked the Guild master.

"Hrmm… oh yes you are um..." Darkento looked down at a roster sheet.

"You're Aero I'd assume. Team Oracle... lets see, let's see. AH you must be looking for Raedyn. He'll be in later he said that he was meeting someone at the MooMoo Bakery." He spoke in an odd old accent like his language was almost incompatible with English.

"hello, what can I get you to... oh hi Raedyn. It's nice to see you here" said a female Ralts from behind the counter.

Her cap and her "horns" were a nice light blue and the rest of her a deep lavender which for a Ralts that was really attractive.

"Hi Ceria. It's great to see you too. I'm not quite sure what I'm gonna get today" I said scanning the contents of a glass case. (Hope you don't mind if I use first person)

"You're gonna get two Flora rolls and a gold gummi smoothie." Ceria said blandly
"that is not what I always order! I get one flora roll." I scratched the back of my head.

"I know, but I'm starving and my break isss... now. Bessie! I'm goin, on Break!" Ceria shouted to her Boss.

"Thas fine darlin' I can handle it" Bessie shouted back in a southern drawl.

Ceria and I walked out side and sat on a bench outside. When I had only half eaten my flora roll Ceria had finished hers and began drinking my smoothie. When she put it down I started sipping it, but there were already two thirds gone and the straw didn't reach. I took of the lid and gulped it down.

"Sheesh you eat like a Tepig." Ceria laughed.

I would have commented back, but she worked all day in that bakery. Me, I did work in the guild, but I was only a rookie so it wasn't too hard. I finished my roll and we began conversing about all the ins and outs of our day so far.

Ceria and I were old friends. When I came to this town I bumped or really crashed into Ceria and we just ended up friends. Just like that.

"So uh... how's that hobby of yours?" I asked quietly
"oh shush up. You act like what I do is weird. It's just dancing." She put her hands on her hips.

"I know about that one. I meant your battling. I saw you on the field the other day. You were AMAZING" I emphasized the last word trying to make her fell special, but mostly made my self fell awkward.

"You saw that! It it was nothi... amazing?" she stopped and looked at me like I had just shouted gibberish.

"Well yeah I thought you did a great job." I shrugged.

"I... I... I gotta get back to work..." Ceria ran inside.

Being a Ralts I could exactly tell what she was thinking. She was surprised for sure, but even if she walked away she was happy that I said what I said.

'Wonder if she knows what I'm feeling. She really did eat a lot more then me.'

"I heard that." ceria opened the door.

"Uh huh." I sighed still romanticizing in my head.

'Ceria was the only person I could be open with so far. I don't know why, but I just find it so hard to talk to anyone else. Urk... I get so tense and serious then I just stop talking. I gotta get over that.'

Aero nodded his head and left for moomoo bakery. "Raedyn should be here." He said looking up and down his treasure map. He headed inside and shouted "Is there a Pokemon named Raedyn here?" Aero shouted before hading to a table and getting on the top of it. "Hopes he shows his face soon" He muttered to himself. He ordered a smoothie and drank it all up. He loved strawberry smoothies and didn't like when people made front of him because of that. He waited at the Table nearly falling asleep waiting for Raedyn to show up. "The guild master said he would be here." Aero said nearly dowsing off. "He should show up before i get really tired.

 

[Alinie]

Aolani glanced at the Aerodactyl that walked in, her face painted in boredom. A half-eaten leaf wrap sat on a tray infront of her, along with an empty glass of Oran Berry soda and a slightly-chewed white gummi. She huffed quietly and went back to her drawing, a charcoal sketch of a Bellossom. It was extremely accurate for just a sketch, only a couple petals of the floral headband out of place. Aolani picked up the peice of charcoal again, wiping a hand across her forehead and leaving a large black smudge. She just wanted to go on a mission already.

"Right, first things first, get a team together!" Titan said to himself. Noticing a large building that he figured must be important, he trotted in.

"I'm looking for some teammates, I think. We're supposed to be doing missions." Titan told everyone inside.

A spooky, not-exactly-English-but-he-still-could-understand voice informed him that most everyone was gathering around the MooMoo Bakery. Titan figured he might as well go too, because he was pretty hungry. And hey, he could get to meet some of the people that he'll be staying with too, so that was a plus.

Titan glanced at a map and saw that the Bakery would be up a little hill to his left. He quickly began his hike. Just as he was arriving, he saw the building next door. It was a giant Nidoking with a door in his belly! Now this was the place for Titan! He sprinted into the building. There were plenty of people here, must be some sort of social area, because he didn't see food or entertainment or anything in the room. He quickly found himself in a conversation with a Poochyena and a Machop. Titan began thinking to himself. "Now this is the kind of life I want to live" he decided.

Dark goes to Pidgey post building and looks at Outlaw Notice Board.

"Hmm...Who's do we have here? Crobat.......Weezing........Skuntank? Hmph....Where's that thing that killed my mom?" Pidgey goes to Dark.

"Excuse me are u looking for a mission?" Pidgey asks. Dark nods.

"Hmm...do u have a team?" Pidges asks. Dark nods again.

"And a team members?" Dark doesn't answer.

"No? you can't go to dungeon without team members..." Pidgey kicks Dark out of Pidgey post building.

"Ouch!" Dark glares at Pidgey and goes to Training Fields. He arrives to Training Fields and sees a Poliwhirl glaring at him, they start to battle. Poliwrath releases a spiral of water from the swirl on its stomach at the Dark. It hits Dark but he quickly opens its mouth and forms a black and purple ball in front of it. Dark fires the ball at the Poliwhirl. Poliwhirl faints and quickly flees.

"Ahh....It was too easy, I will never find a team members.." Dark gets sad.

(if you don't mind i'd like to add that the towns arcitechture style is a classic european. wood and stone mostly. The guild is Japanease in design. also its a tavern so they have drinks and stuff, but I don't want to see any alcoholism. any other ideas i'll cover in the OOC thread.)

I snapped out of my romantic thoughts and reliezed that an Aerodactyl, a rare pokemon in Gysear, had just entered the bakery. I walked in the door and Ceria looked up at me.

"what are you doing back in here Raedyn?" she interupted an ordering customer.

"sorry sorry just thought i saw someone" i said bit by bit as i scanned the room.

I noticed him sitting down with an empty strawberry smoothie which he seemed to want a refil on. i walked over slowly still silent. I sat down at his table. at first i kept quite and just stared at him. I sighed.

"I am Raedyn. I'm looking for an Aerodactyl named Aero. He is to report as my partner at the Darkento Guild." I said serious and near emotionless.

"I am Aero. Nice to meet you Raedyn. We should head to the guild now. Looks like we should hurry to." Aero said before getting his refill and drinking it up again. He flapped his wings and started to fly. "Let's go." Aero said stopping next to the door waiting for Raedyn to come with him.

Kemina made her way quickly to the guild I don't want to be late she thought entering the building. "Hello I'm here looking for a teammate" she called shyly only to be told everyone was meeting at a bakery. A place she had already passed. She sighed leaving and making her way to the bakery entering it she got some milk and sat in a corner by herself not liking the amount of Pokemon here.

I nodded quietly. I walked to the door and passed Aero. I smirked at Aero as I turned towards the guild.

'try and catch me.' I telepathically communicated to Aero.

I sprinted off towards the guild.

The weather seemed to be taking a slight turn for the worst. The sky was a light gray and darkening. A cold wind blew at me from behind.

'alright lets see what this guy can do. if he can keep up then beat my next test he can stay.' i cackled in my head.

Aero dashed forward doing a nose dive in front of Raedyn. "Bring it!" Aero said as he darted ahead of him towards the guild. He went a little to fast and when he got to the guild he crashed inside and flew into the guild master. "Uh sorry." Aero said as he stood back up and flew to the front of the entrence and waited for Raedyn. "Hope i didn't go a little over board." Aero said as he laid down on his belly waiting for Raedyn to arrive. "That was fun." Aero said as he looked at the entrench for Raedyn.

I ran to the guild, but went to the rookie building. Aero had crashed into Darkento's Dojo. Once I got inside the rookie building I telepathically called for Aero.

'Aero this is the Rookie building. Being as that you need to become fully registered as my partner you need to come here.' I said disappointed

Aero flew to the rookie building. okay i admit maybe i was a little to headstrong and reckless. But I thought that i was being tested and didn't have a clue what to do. Aero silently thought to himself as he looked around for Raedyn. "Wait did he say not fully registered?!?!" Aero forgot to think to himself and yelled out before flying out of sight. "Man. I should work on keeping my mouth shut. But thats what i love about myself. I always keep the conversation going even in tough situations. ....... I'm talking to myself again." Aero sighed as he left his hiding place and looked for Raedyn.
