THE REGIONS DISASTER
As Ameera' sat on the edge of the fountain, she began to smile. People all around her were running to get to there destinations, some headed for the concession stands, others headed towards The Stadium, but none stopping to talk to her. In fact, the most eventual thing to happen to her was the racing of two children straight past her, one of the knocking her far enough back to fall against the figure of the great statue in the middle of the fountain. Both turned and stopped however, and soon began to smile.
"Your, your... !" The first one began, looking deep into Ameera's eyes, smiling greatly. "Yes?" She said with a smile, looking up through her bangs at the boys.
The second one coughed loudly, and looked even harder at Ameera', causing him to drop his Ice Cream at his feet. Ameera' offered yet another smile, and tossed him a couple of coins of her own money. "Go buy yourself another one, kiddo."
Ameera' then looked back to the other kid, and smiled back again. "Yes, I am Ameera' Ajavann'. And yes, I know I have a match that is supposed to be starting soon." She nodded to him, as he stared blankly into her eyes still. "But then why aren't you in there?" He asked, looking confused once he snapped out of his daze.
Ameera' sighed as his friend returned, and kept her eyes focused on the pair of them. "Well, I wasn't in there because I didn't feel much like the aggravation of the anticipation, to be honest." She smiled and then looked away. "I'm going in there now, but you guys wish me luck, okay? And... In case you were wondering, yes, you can see my Pokemon." She smiled, and called all six of them out of their PokeBalls. First Vaporeon, then Glaceon, then Vileplume, then Rapidash, then Flareon, and lastly Ninetales. The boys stared at her for a long time, almost falling into the fountain themselves. She giggled, and flung her long, black hair over her shoulder as she began to walk away. "Like I said, wish me luck..."
Once Ameera' got to The Stadium, the annoyance deep inside her begin. Sure, she was used to battles, and sure, she was used to great success. But there was nothing quite like the feeling she felt everytime she stepped onto The Stadium battlegrounds. This time it was an Ice field, the sharp, looming Ice caps bursting from the water of which they came. "I could use this to my advantage very well", She said, looking at the water. "My Vaporeon and Glaceon should do very nicely here."
Ameera' looked at the other side of the field, and saw no one. None the less, she offered no giddy movements, or no annoyed gestures. No, she knew who she was battling. She also knew he was very skilled, as she had watched his Quarterfinal match, or at least the last seconds of it. Her Pokemon still out, she recalled all of them except for her Rapidash, who's flames were threatening to melt the Ice.
"Listen, Rapidash", She said, her emerald eyes twinkling. "You, Flareon, and Ninetales are at a very distinct disadvantage." Rapidash nodded his head slightly, looking back at Ameera' in a concentrated manner. "But 'Dash, we can win this. If all else fails, melt the Ice if you have to. Don't leave it to Ryuga's advantage."
Ameera' pet the back of Rapidash calmly, leaving him out of his PokeBall. The referee moved towards her to tell her to recall him, and she informed him that Rapidash would be her first choice. "Ok then", He said with a nod. "The battle will begin when your opponent arrives."
Ameera' looked towards the doorway, and smiled. "Yes... Yes it will."
