[PKMN FULL] The Revelations [OOC](T)

Alright looking forward to those posts!

Anywho I'm at work all day today, but I will post when I get home later in the evening
. It prolly won't be anything special, just a regular post that may or not set up interaction with someone.

@GoldFish: Nice first post! Hazel isn't much of a fighter is she lol?

Aaaand I just posted. It's not much, but it starts off some basic interaction.

I can't believe it. I actually got enough creativity to post something.

Decided to crash in on your scenario, Goldfish. Who knew Wiley likes honey too.

Spoiler:
Yeah, intro posts are usually the best ones. I normally write five paragraphs or so though, depending on the type of material available. Could have ended this one with Darren declaring the "wrongs" done against him, but having a low kick is a bit more to react to. Wouldn't really worry about it, if you don't want to battle, since it was ambiguous.

I haven't been in too many Pokemon roleplays. I don't have alot of experience with it but I'm down for anything. If Malin or you want to spark a battle from Sirius trying to take a piece of steel, then I say let them duke it out. lol.

Nice posts, everyone, but...

GoldFish and EeveeMew, lol, although your post was good (a little hard to follow, but still good), you completely ignored what happened with Astrid and Wiley(Pancham) in Xilfer's post -_- Her Pokémon attacked the Ursaring, and also had a run-in at the end with Hazel.

And my SU is done! Let me know what you think! I can't wait to get posting here ^^ Oh, and FYI, any of you guys can just pretend to have seen or heard of Nadia or maybe even heard stories about the monastery there's rumors that she's from. Make up something if you want and I'll roll with it!

Name: Nadia

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Standing just slightly taller than girls of her age, Nadia has a slim, lean frame with a slight bit of muscle to it, making her strong, but definitely more agile than anything else. She has short, white hair, with a fringe that often covers her left eye, leaving her right, piercingly yellow eye uncovered, save for a few bangs here and there.

She wears a yellow, sleeve-less top with a 'built-in' hood to shield herself from rain, negating the need for a cloak like most others need. On her forearms are a pair of metal wrist-guards, moving from halfway down towards her elbow, to just slightly over the back of her hand to provide the best protection. Around her waist is a red sash with a small pack with the most necessary supplies in it attached to the side of it.

She wears a pair of simple, brown, snug-fit trousers, which end just around her calf. Instead of wearing shoes or boots like most people, the girl seems to have bandages wrapped tightly around the middle of her feet and up along her leg to meet with the trousers, leaving her heel and toes bared. The same style seems to be copied to her hands, where her palms and the back of her hands seem to be covered in bandages, which reaches up to just before the gauntlet on top ends.

Spoiler:

Personality: Nadia has always been a cheerful, forward-thinking person. She likes to look on the bright side of things, even if she does carry a tinge of practicality in her thinking, but she always tries to inspire those around her and push them to get them to want to do their best. She likes enjoying herself and having fun, but never in a way that would make others feel bad, and should she do so accidentally and then realize what she had done, she would do everything in her power to make it up to said person.

Her upbringing helped her gain an understanding and respect for the honor-system, believing that if one's honor is insulted, you should do all you can to fix it. She also enjoys relaxing and sometimes simply sitting and enjoying the sights and sounds of her surroundings. Despite this, however, she's very diligent at her work of choice. If she has a job that she's been given by someone else, she'll go through it with heart and soul.

History: In the snowy north of Snowpoint Valley, Nadia was found at the doorstep of a hidden monastery by the name of Equi Monastery. Only the few monks who are occasionally seen travelling around in the world know the location of this otherwise hidden facility, along with a few outsiders. This makes it all the more puzzling as to who left the baby at the door of the monastery to be found by the monks, who promptly took her in.

The monks raised her like she was one of their own, treating her like an equal, a student and family, all at once. The years quickly passed and she started training with the monks as they taught her their ways, values and how to fight. There were several Pokémon in the monastery, but when Nadia asked why she didn't have one, the monks had told her that her time would come to find her own companion, eventually.

When Nadia, as the monks had named her due to nobody knowing her name, turned eighteen and came of age, the monks told her one of the secrets to their training. The rite of passage that any student from Equi had to make in order to grow both physically, mentally and spiritually. Nadia was taken to the coast and boarded a small boat with a single monk. Fear and worry overcame her as the uncertainty of the situation hit her full on and the boat began sailing out to sea, headed for the large island in the distance.

After several hours of sailing, they finally reached Stark Island, covered in jungle as far as the eye could see, with a single mountain towering over the thickly-grown trees to the north. The monk let Nadia ashore and told her that she had to survive a full year on her own, and then they would come pick her up. With that, he took off and left Nadia feeling more alone than she had ever done in her entire life.

Her first week on the island didn't go well. She was chased by wild Pokémon, stung by many different trees, bushes and plants and barely managed to find anything to eat. It wasn't until a young Chimchar seemingly appeared out of nowhere to help her fend off a band of wild Kricketot. With the help of the small monkey, she managed to chase off the roaming bugs, and a friendship was quickly formed.

Iggy, as she had named him, had lived in the jungle for a while already, and as such, he knew just where to get food, where to sleep and not be disturbed, and what to be wary of. With his help, Nadia quickly managed to find the strength to push on and survive on the island.

Once a year had passed and the monk returned, he found a smiling Nadia standing on the shore with a Chimchar sitting on her shoulder, ready to leave his old life behind and join Nadia at the monastery.
After a celebration of her return, she was told that she was now free to go wherever in the world she wanted to, and that she was encouraged to, in fact. Another part of the monastery's training was to go on a journey of enlightenment. The monks believed in balance and equality, but many different people viewed that differently, so it was up to the trainee to venture out into the world, and find the meaning of the words for her own.

After being gifted one of the monks' signature Bo Staves, Nadia and Iggy took off, venturing out into the world in order to find what she was searching for, and perhaps even find some answers about her past.
Without really knowing where she was heading, Nadia found herself in the prosperous town of Twinleaf after a month or two of wandering the lands. She had only planned to stay for a day or two, but during a bath in the nearby lake, Nadia had seen… a vision of some sort. Something that had convinced her that she was to stay in Twinleaf until the time was right.

Not one to spit into the hand of the gods, Nadia and Iggy were allowed to stay in a farmer's barn, as long as they occasionally helped out with some chores. By now, she's lived in the town for half a year, and many of the villagers had either seen or at least heard of the lively girl who occasionally was seen meditating or climbing around on top of the houses.

Hometown: Equi Monastery, somewhere within Snowpoint Valley

Weapon: A smooth, extremely sturdy Bo Staff

~

Pokemon Species + Nickname: Chimchar named Iggy

Gender: Male

Ability: Blaze. (Hidden ability: Iron Fist)

Attacks: Scratch, Leer and Blaze Kick

Personality: Iggy loves to have fun. Whether for that to be from actual comedy or just having a good time, or from him being cheeky and at times even mischievous doesn't matter to him. The little monkey is extremely loyal to Nadia, and will always back her up, no matter what might come towards them. He can be very rash and not think about the consequences of challenging someone seemingly stronger than himself, but his confidence is usually well-founded.

Yeah, I JUST realized that, as I hadn't checked the thread again until after we made the joint post. ~_~

My apologies, for the misunderstanding.

Im going to have to pull out, sorry guys. I just dont think I will be able to keep up. I have real world buisness' to attend to.

@SirBastian: you are accepted, duh!

@GoldFish & EeveeMew: don't worry about it, things like this happen sometimes. Although this sort of nixed Xilfer's post :/

@Nyx: no problems, do what you gotta do :)

Nah, Darren's the one who wanted to challenge him, Malin's just following along because mimicking is what he does. For the last part I wrote, where he actually gave a command, wanted to clarify that Malin did dodge the attack. But since he has the ability No Guard, I'm rping the always hit thing it usually has, as some type of strain on his body. Unless Jegretis says otherwise, then I wouldn't have a problem with ruling out the three free dodges.

This honestly wasn't intentional when I was picking out the movesets for Machop, as I don't even remember most of the type weaknesses, the reason why I avoid competitive battling like the plague, but wanted to let you know I gave Malin Ice Punch. Not gonna use it until the end of the battle, but that x4 weak for Gible. Is Sirius the type of guy to punch someone for hurting his Goro? I can't shake off the feeling that win or lose, Darren's going to get punched.

You probably should've at least posted in the OOC that you were planning a joint post, because interaction seems to be pretty free-range in this RP.

I'll just edit out the second part of my post for now. I seriously don't want to rewrite it all.

Again, I do apologize for the misunderstanding. I'll make sure to do so next time I do a joint post.

Sorry bout that. It took longer than expected, and i forgot to check before posting. ~_~ :3c

Well, that's alright. Stuff happens. :)

Hey eevee, maybe we too could meet up? Never know what trouble Wiley will get Astrid into, and they are going to the forest. Hehe.

Thomas is at home, in front of his house with Ella. you are welcome to show up, but be catious, as they have Ella's set of hooked hunting spears. :P

Well then, that whole post fiasco has been settled :)

I would have posted sooner, but like I said, darn work >_< Nice battle so far between Sirius and Darren! Just so you guys know, if you want to call it a 'draw' at anytime (no winner, nor loser), just have Bronze Guards come along and break it up or something. Or alternatively you guys can just finish the battle lol.

Anyways, doing a joint post with Alby, so I think that'll be up soon/tomorrow.

Haha, its all cool. I looked at his moveset before the battle just to check him out, and assumed that you did it on purpose, but now I know and knowing is half the battle. I had come up with a creative way to dodge the attack but I like J's idea of ending it in a draw, that is unless you'd like to continue it till the end.

Spoiler:

Having the Bronze Guards show up at some point, sounds neat, so I'll agree to that draw. We'll just have to avoid having Darren's honor insulted again though, if possible, since typical guards are usually rude, and it's way too early for Darren to change his outlook on things.
