Srry if im not allowed to ask this but ive got 2 big problems

Problem 1: when I put in a new chipset and i go to rm2k to make a map the chip ste isnt there its just a black chip set every things black:(

Problem 2: when I try to play someone elses games it said run time error rtp is not present or not registered:(

I forgot how to fix Prob. 1. But 2, it probably means that part of the RTP the creator used isn't in your RTP.

problem one is probably because your chipset isnt in 256 colours... you need to save at as a 256 color bitmap or a 256/pallette png

Ok, for future problems use the help thread, all questions are usually answered there and it prevents the forum being clogged with one question topics.

Problem 1: To correctly input a tileset into RM2K. Use the Resource Importer. Then go to Database and to the Tileset tab. Then make sure you highlight the correct chipset under 'Tileset File'. Also make sure that the tile in the top right corner of the 'Upper Layer' section is the transparent color you chose when you imported it (the color that flashes).

Problem 2: Your missing one of the RTP packages. It's either 2000 or 2003 so which ever one you don't have just download from www.rmdownloads.com. Also there's an additional RTP for RM2K which you may need to download, I forget what it's called though.

I didn't know you PROGRAM!!! in RpgMaker
Lol, you basically are. No, you're not sitting and typing, but the Command List presents a basic syntax for a simple language. It's just arranged in a more comprehensive manner so newbies can use it. In my limited programming experience, I've found out how much learning RM2K has helped me.
