So I just stick to giving them many moves that people would never give. Me and my friends irl battle together, but thats it.

OK, just noticed it in Dusty's sig. *completely agrees with it, minus the "ubers" part* I use Pokemon that are considered "ubers", but I usually have three at most in my party. And I still train my main Pokemon more than them.
Although certain natures, breeding moves, etc. come in handy if you love contests :/

I don't use "uber" Pokemon, BECAUSE IT MAKES TEH GAME TOO EZ >:[
I don't calculate stat values, no i dont
I don't breed my way to perfection, i never breed
and I care about natures. only sometimes like a fighting-only poke with a calm nature att - sp att +
I catch my Pokemon the way they are, see above statement ^
and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones. definetly

MY Poke~Philosophy:
Ubers are best in battle when fighting other ubers of the same level
Pokemon are never to be fighting machines; they deserve a break every so often
Natures only matter if you love contests and wish to become the contest queen/king
EVs aren't that important
If you fight the best you can but not competitively, good for you
If you wish to fight competitively, go to hell
Pokemon are living creatures (well, at least in the virtual world)
If you don't want Pokemon to hurt you, don't hurt them
