*laughs* In this hack I'm playing, my Pikachu has a Brave nature. That means it'll do better in the attack stat, but worse in the Speed check. According to Serebii, if Pikachu's level 100, the max Attack it can have if it nature benefits it is 229, while it's Speed if the nature hinders it is 251.
Brave nature works well with Pikachu XD

I remember in my Yellow, it was my level 10 Butterfree that blasted Brock to pieces XD I always raised my Caterpie to level 10 (evolving it on the way, of course). Though there was only one time where I beat Brock because of a Nidoran girl. That Nidoran turned out to be a mighty fine Nidoqueen ^^
