the shows best trainer?

    This is similiar to my shows best battle thread i want to know who you think is the best trainer on the show. Also fell free to debate others to

    trainer: name of trainer
    reason: why are they the best
    convince: ok make me think they are the best by giving examples of battles or episodes or maybe some pokemon they have or anything like that


    trainer: Harrison
    reason: he uses tough pokemon and unique stratagys he is a great trianer i think
    convince: he beat ash and placed in the top 4 of the johto league i mean how much more does he have to do to get your vote lol

    I was thinking more major characters but lance is a good trainer but i need more convincing and back yourself up more on it lol
     
    The difficulty in providing a serious reply to this thread is that there aren't many trainers who provide enough of an expertise to eclipse Ash's (or, for sake of -constant- argument, lack thereof), and those who do are often filler characters that don't provide much else than being "that guy who beat Ash (-...finally-)", or "that guy who barely lost against Ash".

    If I had to pick, it would be Gary. He has an excellent range of Pokemon, and is one of the few recurring characters who has a party of Pokemon whose types vary, are well-trained, and are adept in battling. I chose him over Paul because, well, let's face it, Paul's a douche.

    ...But the previous post was for the lulz, I admit. =]
     
    Very nice reply don thats what i was looking for and good point but Gary failed to defeat Ash whereas my boy harrison won so i think its clear whos better lol

    Gary beat him twice, Ash just beat him when the victory actually meant something to either of them.

    Ash performs better under pressure? XD
     
    Trainer: Cynthia

    Reason: Sinnoh League Champion. Once referred as Champion of the World on the show.

    Convince: I'll use Paul as an example. Paul has been traveling as long as Ash has. He battled her and she owned him. Seeing that Ash has yet to beat Paul, beat Gary, and narrowly lost to Harrison, she's an obvious choice.

    Beware another great post seriously lol and I am almost convinced but Harrison beat ash in your post you said ash narrowly beat harrison
     
    Whoops! But that doesn't change anything, it just says that Harrison would still lose.

    Ash was able to beat Brandon. Brandon beat Reggie, Reggie can be predicted that he can beat Paul, and Paul beat Ash. So Harrison beating Ash isn't that much.
     
    But if you think about there is no evidence to suggest harrison would lose to them or win so until than it is a no win thing we can argue all you want but it doesnt change the fact that there is no evidence either way!
     
    But he did not use his best pokemon his blazeiken was recovering and the guy who beat him won the whole thing so he lost but barely even without his main pokemon
     
    Nope ash used pikachu agaisnt harrison but not Gary ash used pikachu as his first one with harrison lol and he used charizard too
     
    Curse these battles, using so many pokémon.

    Okay, think it like this. If Cynthia can sweep a team of seasoned pokémon that are well trained, that beat the team Ash had including Pikachu, that only narrowly lost to Harrison. What would happen to Harrison?
     
    Hm i dont think Harrison could beat Cynthia with just his pokemon we saw but im sure he has alot of pokemon and maybe some new ones i hope he comes back in the show i have theroy hell be in the sinnoh league because:

    ash in kanto = harrison in hoenn
    ash in johto = harrison in johto
    ash in hoenn = harrison in kanto (he says that when hes leaving ash he says im going to kanto lol)
    ash in Sinnoh = harrison in ???

    He's the protagonist.
    I shouldn't have to convince you, he's the protagonist, he conquers all in his path otherwise he wouldn't be the protagonist.
     
    Seeing that Cynthia beat Lucian, with relative ease it seemed, it's safe to assume he can't beat her. :P

    @Cassino: But Light Yamagami didn't get so lucky or did he?
