The Sims 3

This seems quite dissapointing. Why are so many companies just making cheap rubbishy games to make money? It's sad and unloyal to all customers :(

The game is not rubbish at all, and it's far from it. A good chunk of these players were expecting it to come pre-packaged with everything the Sims 2 had with all the expansions, which obviosly led to disappointment. I think we should all know EA's practices when it comes to the Sims: they will milk the cash cow until it's bone dry by excluding many features from the base game and throwing them into a series of expansion packs.

And Morkula, I feel your pain. The selection is horrendously small, both in the game and in the Store. Somewhat luckily, you get 1000 free Sim Points when you get the game and register it online. I say somewhat, because I know not everyone has an internet connection, or access to the internet from which they are playing the game. That, and 1000 points can really only get you the entire Tiki set, some hair, and some clothes.

It's good, but very glitchy at the moment
But, it is new, so give it some time.

It'll be fixed soon.

A few bugs:

- Going bald for no reason, which, occasionally fixes itself
- The speed buttons do nothing

(Those are the only ones I've noticed)

I ahve the game and it is pretty glitchy at the moment with a lot of drawbacks. But the game is better for long term gameplay IMO. Short term when you first start is really dull and clumsy, but once things start getting fluid, you can really hit those long term goals pretty good (especially if you play on the Epic Life Span option, yay for 960 something days of life) really more for people who like play games for long periods of times and hard core sims fans. If your just a casual player dont get it. Its not worth it. The secret stuff in the game though is worth it to the people who seek it out though.

Edit: Yeah, the speed thing is annoying during sleep times, but when your sims are awake its perfect, they can really get more done and not spend 30 minutes on the toilet.

...Okay, I completely underestimated this game.
My girlfriend and I have spent about 6 hours on this game, and we are thoroughly impressed. We haven't even explored the possibilities of kids, ghosts, etc. You play less as god and more as the person you're controlling. EA pretty much perfected what they rushed in The Sims 2, and I really appreciate that. I'm fine with people who consider this as The Sims 2.5, but this game is NOT rushed, nor is it bad. I give it two llama hooves up!

EDIT: I am completely ignoring the fact that EA is being jackasses about milking TS3, I am just saying that the gameplay department was hard at work.
