The Soda Club

The most ironic thing I've ever heard about Asian soda I heard two years ago. Apparently before the SARS outbreak there was actually a soda called Sars, which was short for Sarsparilla. I believe it became rather unpopular during that time period...

That's pretty wild. I wouldn't drink a soda called "Mono" or "Cancer" or "Heart Failure" (even though soda can get you all of those... or at least sharing the bottle can in the case of Mono). Does Ginger Ale count as a soda or not? I don't really like it because it's not that sweet... but do you guys think it's a soda anyway? I honestly don't know what to think about it...

Man....with all these new things I learn about soda I should have died years ago with all the soda I've consumed....but I still press forward! ^^

I would say that Ginger Ale counts as a soda, as in my definition, a soda is technically any drink or syrup that has carbonated water added to it. I'm actually very partial to Ginger Ale despite the fact that I rarely ever get to drink it.

IMHO,

Vernor's > Canada Dry

No, I am by no means an authority, it's only my theory. The dictionary definition of soda is as follows:

"A sweet drink containing carbonated water and flavoring"

So I may be on the right track with my thinking, but I can't be certain.

I can't believe this is on the brink of death again o_o;

Anyway, I tried Jarritos for the first time, and it's wonderful; probably some of the better soda I've had. The natural fruit flavoring is apparent, it's lower in sugar, and it's rather inexpensive. I'm currently debating whether to try the Tamarind variety; I've never even heard of that fruit before. The juice looks like well water.

Southern Ohio is basically a third-world country, I'm not kidding. There's a car wash every teen feet but Wal-Marts are spread 40 miles apart from each other and 7-11s are nonexistent v_v;

I take it they're common where you live? x_x; If only that were so here, they look like they put all other gas stations to shame <_<;

7-11 isn't anything to be impressed with really... it's just a cheap corner store that happens to be everywhere. I dunno... I'm not a fan of it. Where I live it's just a congregating point for people to do drugs.

Drugs. XD ...speaking of which, tch, I haven't had a soda in a week... danrit, I feel crappy... tch, it's like... I'm all numb. An' it ain't tha caffeine I tell ya, cause I was drinking Fanta. O_O

I bought a 2-liter of Fresca today and drank about half of it...I'm incredibly disappointed because grapefruit fresca is no longer in production. The new flavors are peach and black cherry -_-; Luckily I got one of the old two-liters, and I'm going to stockpile more soon.
