Kaki's throat was burning like she had an open flame burning the inside of her throat. The oxygen she was breathing felt like it was giving the flame life, and she'd use that pain in her advantage. Since she couldn't really speak unless she wanted to feel like her entire neck was crumbling. So, she gave Zaiku a thumbs up back.

More and more Pokemon began to surround her, and she really didn't like it. Zaiku had teleported away from her, but soon returned with a familiar object that she had given her Arcanine. She took the Charcoal, but the gang was beginning to chuckle and close in on them. "G-go! 'Elp!" Was the best she could muster as she pulled Zaiku closer to her so he could hear her, and then she pointed at Ricky with a boulder ontop of him. She was wondering if he caught her drift to help him get that boulder off and she gave him another shove to dodge the Scyther claw that was aimed at him and had now given her a cut in the side.

With the Charcoal in her grips, she felt more powerful, and she felt the flames burning inside her. She pushed the flames out through her feet and consintrated, contoling the flames into a circle around her. The flames grew taller and they engulfed her, yet Kaki felt no pain.

The Fire Spin was growing more powerful, and those that were circling around her were burnt badly, and were retreating. This scared away many of the enemies, for most of them were Bug, or Grass types. Only one was left. Kaki let the flames die down and she panted heavily, feeling very light headed. She lifted her hand, seeing Travis walking towards her, but that last gang member was right behind him and she couldn't say anything. She took a Quick Attack and dashed for Travis, the one behind him bringing his mightly claws up in the air. She idenitified the Pokemon as probably the leader, he was a Nidoking. She cried to cry for Travis to move, but nothing came, so she shoved Travis out of the way and the heavy claws collided with her, causing her to fly back. She groaned with pain and panted, trying with all her strength to stand, but she blacked out before she could even move.

"Kaki! No-za!" Travis cried, as he watched helplessly while the Nidoking behind him slammed his powerful claws into her midriff. She flew a good fifteen or twenty feet to the side, and struggled to stand before collapsing to the ground in pain.

It is a little known fact about Zangoose that when they have chosen a mate, they will often remain with her throughout their entire lives, Ryota being an exception to the rule. Often when said mate is injured, they will force more power out of themselves then necessary, which often results in the self-induced learning of a new attack, most often "Return". However, under certain circumstances, if the Zangoose is under a substantial amount of stress beforehand, they will release more powerful attacks. Having the gang attack after already feeling threatened by AJ had placed Travis in a substantial amount of stress, and his instincts and body were almost entirely overridden with Zangoose instincts at this point. The conditions for the self-induced learning of an attack were ideal.

For Travis, it simply felt like he had gathered all of his anger and rage, concentrated it into a tangible form, and attacked the Nidoking with it, knocking him nearly twelve feet into the air and knocking him out instantly. For everyone else, it would have looked like Travis had been gathering infintesimal specks of energy from the air, concentrating them into a golden ball of light, and then firing the ball from his mouth as a blinding beam of golden energy. In other words, he had used hyper beam.

Either way the results were the same. Travis was lifted backwards forcefully by the strength of his own attack, causing him to land next to Kaki. Before he could react to the situation any further, he too had blacked out.

Zaiku nodded, and ran off to help the boulder off Ricky, who had seemed to have blacked out while underneath the boulder. By the time Zaiku had turned back a Nidoking had taken down Kaki and Travis, is seemed to have at least half it's vitality left. Zaiku was practically the only one left, considering the others weren't fighting. Luckily though since Zaiku had advanced Psychic attacks due to the twisted spoon which was also super effective.

He had the upperhand but a Nidoking is much stronger than a Ralts, until it is an Erureido or Gardevoir of course. But a confusion, Psybeam or Luster Purge still wouldn't be able to pull off the job. Zaiku would need to attempt one of the most versatile moves he could possibly learn, Psychic. Yet the Nidoking as Zaiku had been strategizing chugging down on a hyper potion...

DAMN!!!

The leather jacket leader was charging towards Zaiku in such a stomp, the floor was vibrating. Zaiku teleported behing a counter where he couldn't be seen, he then stuck his arms out and calmed all his thoughts to focus soley on attacking, a very good move for one-hit ko sweep attacking for Ralts and its evolutions. Zaiku then stood up to reveal himself, the Nidoking went beserk and charged right through the counter yet Zaiku teleported behind him and unleashed the most wicked Psychic lump you'd ever see, at all the power-ups Zaiku used it was at least twice the size and twice them power.
The Nidoking shrieked in agony, and when the light cleared he layed on the floor unconcious.

In came officer Jenny and several other officers, Nurse Joy must've called them.
"We have a report about an attack by the leather gang..." She stated.
Zaiku smiled and laughed while coughing, "They're taken care of." Zaiku had used up a lot of strength in the battle and too would soon black out.
"You kids beat them?" Jenny asked surprised.
"Yeah," Zaiku started, "They attacked when I wouldn't give over my money."

Zaiku pointed his hand towards Travis and Kaki, and levitated them into their rooms, Zaiku himself then limped towards his room and crashed out on his bed.

Theresa was squatted on a table, her eyes narrowed and scanning the scene carefully. Though it was dark, she could still see as if it were daylight. As the four companions took down each villian, she thought and made mental notes. The smallest, looking about seven years old, didn't seem as if he trusted anyone or as though anyone trusted him. A young male who looked a little older than herself appeared to be very much concerned for a girl her own age and vice versa. Zaiku, the one who had spoken to her before, seemed to enjoy taking the lead. Oddly, none of them approached the boy, AJ. Theresa tilted her head thoughtfully and crept over to him.

Tentatively, she prodded him with a claw. The wound was deep, fatal. It would take a lot of willpower to heal such a wound. She sniffed him cautiously, then sat down beside him, not quite sure what to do. She wasn't much of the sympathetic type, nor the nursing type, no matter what her current frame of mind was. Thinking that he might at least live a little longer if he was warm, Theresa spread her jacket over his tiny frame. She sniffed again. The smell of blood was thick in the air. It was almost nauseating; bitter and harsh, thick and overwhelming. Theresa cupped her hand around her nose, only to notice for the first time that her palms were harder and more leather than usual, and her fingers were stiff and seemed loathe to come apart. She sighed sadly and toyed with the gold coin she had obtained between her fingers, listening to it clink against her nails and wondering what would become of her and the rest of the human race.

((Ew. Writers' block. Still.))

Zaiku was sleeping very heavily and wasn't moving at all. His fatigue from the battle was great. 4 against 17 is what you'd call an unfair fight.

Zaiku... The star in the sky... Because of it the pokemon are gone the rainbow feather and the silver feather will reveal all...

The wierd voice that ran through his mind as he slept...
Then an assortment of words seemed to consecutively burst through his brain...

Star... Pokemon... disappear... Transform... Humans... no more... Legendary... Pokemorphs... Come into being... Two birds... Ho-oh... Lugia... Will reform... All...
Inentions... unknown... Evil... Legendaries... mass destruction... Sin... AJ consumed...
Sin... Sin... Sin... Armegaddon... Existance fading...

Zaiku then instantly woke up in a cold sweat, the words constantly buzzing in his head like angry Beedrills.
"S-S-Sin? Consumed AJ? What does that mean? And evil legendaries...."
Zaiku tried repeating to himself. His fatigue seemed to have faded, he tucked his twisted spoon into his bag and then he walked out to check how things were outside.

OOC: Missed the whole big fight. Drat it. Now I must make very long post with Ruya battling someone.

IC: Ruya held her arm, gritting her teeth against the slash in her arm. The Vigoroth boy she had met in battle after a clash with both a Shuppet and a Tyrogue was standing a short ways away, grinning through the trickle of blood falling from his nose. He flexed his long claws and launched himself at the Sneasel morph.

Ruya hissed dangerously and sprang forward too, lashing out with her good arm. The Vigoroth jumped out of the way and spun, holding his arms out so that his claws slashed at the air as he approached. A snarl escaped Ruya's throat, a rough, harsh sound full of anger and hatred. She lifted her good arm and concentrated energy into the bone white claw that was her hand. It shimmered and turned bright silver then hardened as it temporarily turned into a powerful metal.

The Metal Claw attack left a long but shallow gash in the Vigoroth's side. In retaliation the Vigoroth boy lashed out with a vicious Slash attack that only an Agility attack managed to dodge. Ruya used her speed to her advantage and attacked quickly with a one handed Fury Swipes, knocking the Vigoroth to the ground. Red eyes flashed as the teen, with the aide of pain killing adrenaline, lifted her claws to create an orb of dark energy. The Shadow Ball sent her opponent flying across the room where he fell with a grunt before lying still.

Slowly Ruya's rage dissipated and the pain from her arm came back. Her breathing was labored as she turned to survey the rest of the room. Gang members lay everywhere as well as one of two from her own group. The sight of her friends lying unconscious forced another growl from her throat and she staggered over to see if there was anything she could do to help.

She hadn't gotten more than a few steps before the Pokemon Center was flooded with police. Zaiku began to explain the situation to Officer Jenny, who looked very much like an Arcanine. That wasn't much of a surprise. Deciding to leave the excuses to Zaiku, Ruya walked unsteadily over to the Meowth girl who had arrived earlier and a badly injured AJ. She wasn't sure what to do. AJ was not her friend. In fact, the last time she had bothered looking him in the eyes, she had seen nothing but hate and bloodlust there. Did she really have any reason to help him?

Yes, she did. "He needs to be moved," she said in a rough growl. "Sne, he's bleeding badly and that jacket won't help, zel." Slowly she knelt beside the boy. In his unconscious form he looked pitiable; a creature not to be hated or feared, but helped. Her Sneasel's heart was not warm. Dark and ice do not make a very compassionate creature. But the remaining part of her humanity made her lift the wounded boy into her arms. She looked in a rather cold way down at the Meowth girl. "Help me find a potion or something. This is a Pokemon Center, so there must be one somewhere. Move quickly."

OOC: She has a heart! O_O

Kaki awoke very slowly in the dim light of the room she was bunking in at the Pokemon Center. She wondered if that fight was all just a dream, but when she sat up, she felt that slash she received from that Scyther. It was still bleeding, and was untreated. She vaguely remembered shoving Travis out of the way, and then everything went black.

Kaki rubbed her head and sighed, reaching for her backpack and she then made her way over to the bathroom where she washed her wound and wrapped it comfortablly. She had a rather long, but not deep, cut right up her cheek where that Nidoking had gotten the best of her. It was just a long scab at the moment.

She looked at herself in the mirror and silently wondered if Travis was okay... In an attempt to murmur his name, a squeak was the only thing that came from her throat and she looked quite surprised. She continued trying to speak, but nothing worked and she fell back against the wall.

She sank down until she was sitting on the tiled floor, pondering over Travis. All she could remember was that she pushed him out of the way and the last thing she saw him doing was shooting a golden beam from his mouth that caused the Nidoking to fly back. She couldn't remember anything else except that she could smell Travis close to her, and she could feel his presence at one point when she had been out of it.

She wanted to see Travis and express her thanks, but how was she going to do that if all she could do was sqeak?

Theresa looked down and away from Ruya, embarassed at her chosen course of action and how swiftly it had been shot down. She took back her jacket and tied it around her waist and stood up wordlessly, going about the duty she had been given without making comment. Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt, she reasoned. It wouldn't do to make a further fool of herself. Mewing, she leapt onto the counter of the pokemon center, not really bothering to wonder why the nurse was absent, and began to hunt for a potion.

Dragging her claw along the impeccably clean surface of a bench covered in revives and status-curers, Theresa hunted for the elusive white and purple bottle; the trademark colours of a regular potion. "No, no, no, no, no, what the- no, yes!" Theresa chanted as she looked at each bottle in turn, then crying out triumphantly as she found a super potion; even better than what she had been asked for. Launching herself over the bench with new-found agility, she skipped to Ruya's side, potion in-hand, and held it out to her. She still said nothing, but held her tongue carefully. This girl appeared to be more intelligent than herself, and this thought always managed to subdue her.

OOC: And it appears I too missed the fight. XD Well, here's something to spice things up I guess. >_>

BTW, not naming names, but some of you went overboard with the fighting. It's okay to write the fight, and explain it however you want, but...you know, keep it PGish at the same time. Something like the post below. >.>

--

I wished so much that I was more helpful during the battle. I hadn't come to the aid of anyone; all I did was hide. I was scared; it was all I could do. It was when I heard AJ's cries that I turned, stepping out of my thoughts, and watched him. A tear rolled down, and I knew at that second that I was ready. I was ready to stand. I was ready to fight.

Unfortunately, when I stood, someone grabbed me from behind and forced me against the counter, slamming my head to it. It hurt like no other pain I've ever felt. I barely was able to catch a glimpse at who it was, and I was able to stop that this was a Zigzagoon Morph. What would a Zigzagoon have anything to do with a leather gang?

I didn't have time to think, I was pulled out of the way, and as I was, the Zigzagoon slammed me against every hard surface, trying his best to knock me out. And I almost did get knocked out.

Officer Jenny arrived, and momentarily, I was let go. I tried to regain myself at that moment, but was too slow in the regaining. The Zigzagoon caught me before I could do anything else, and pulled me away from the fight.

Once we were out of the view of the police, the Zigzagoon slammed me against the wall, making sure I had a good beating. I was even dragged into the restrooms, and beaten on the floor.

Pain was all over my body; I couldn't take it all. I was brought to the toilet, where the Zigzagoon tried to force my head down.

"You're a duck; swim!" he taunted, pushing my head near the water. It smelled horrible; pretty much, like a fart.

He pulled me up and slammed my head against the toilet seat. That just pushed me to the limits. It hurt more than anything I could ever have accumulated in my life. And I knew that I did not deserve this beating. This was uncalled for and unnecessary. I felt a strange energy surround me, and the next thing I knew, I turned swiftly, and just screamed at the top of my lungs at the morph.

A purple energy field burst from all around me for just a second, and pushed the Zigzagoon in the air and to the mirror, cracking the glass. The Zigzagoon was shocked for a moment, unsure of what to do. He was on glass, and as he pushed force on his hand to stand, he felt pain on it.

He growled. "Zig…stupid half psychic!" he ran towards me. Before he could reach me though, I did what first came to mind. I punched, still having that aura glow around me. He cracked the next mirror as I tripped backwards, and slammed my own head on the toilet seat.

We were both unable to move. Our main priority was to stand, and that was almost impossible with the pain we had taken, more so with me, because of the major pain of having had my head slammed several times.

It was then that the psychic energy left me as I stood perfectly. I looked around. When I saw the Zigzagoon morph, I freaked, almost falling down again. I caught myself though, and stood again, watching the Zigzagoon. And at the moment, I questioned something; what was he?

"Psy…what happened?" I asked.

Unknown to me, something else had happened. It was my memories. I was not supposed to gain so much psychic energy yet; I was not capable or strong enough to handle it. But I still used it, and in order to use that, I of course needed a lot of energy. That energy was fueled by giving my memories away.

By now, the Zigzagoon left the bathroom. I looked at the broken glass, and then came to a much clearer window. I looked at myself, scared. I didn't know what was happening to me.

Because as far as I knew, the date was December 30th. I had just forgotten everything leading up to Ecruteak; I had no idea I was even in Ecruteak.

And before I could question anything else, the rest of my memories blanked out. Now, I stood with no memories, just looking at myself. I could tell I was hurt badly. I could feel it. But I didn't know why.

"Who am I?" I wondered.

Zaiku then was thinking about new battle starategies, maybe some combination moves by combining his powers with those of someone else in the group. Several thoughts flashed through his head, one of them was Kaki's fire spin combined with Psybeam, a thought of a psybeam being spiralled by a trail of fire. The other one was Ruya's Metal claw being combined with luster purge, a thought of the steel claw bursting into a ball of psychic light on contact with the enemy. But the one that Zaiku couldn't help resist but think of was AJ's Pulse bomb combined with Psychic. The combined force of two giant energy ball attacks brought the idea of a very powerful attack to mind.

He then snapped back into reality, and decided to tell the other's later, he heard painful sounds coming from the bathroom, so Zaiku made his way over there. When he arrived Zaiku came to hear words from Tom.

"Who am I?"
Zaiku had a confused looked fixed on his face.
"Uh... Tom, you're um... Tom." Zaiku tried explaining.
Zaiku then realised his Psyduck characteristics must've somehow affected his memories.
"Oh bugger..." Zaiku sighed.

Ruya nodded to the Meowth girl and carefully sprayed the super potion along the length of the wound. Once that was done, she forced open the bottle and poured the remainder into the wound. Because the cut was so deep, she didn't want to risk either infection of internal bleeding. Of course, from the times she had used healing medicine like potions on her Pokemon, she knew that just spraying the liquid onto the wound stung like heck. Putting it directly into the wound...well, at least AJ was unconscious.

Looking around, she noticed some of the things that had been tossed aside while the Meowth girl was looking for the potion. She hesitated for a moment, then moved over and grabbed a roll of bandages and a couple of Revives. She clumsily used the bandages to secure the wound then shifted the Riolu boy in her arms and stood. It was a good thing he was so small because her right arm still hurt and was hard to move. She'd need to take care of it soon, too.

Turning red eyes on Theresa, the Sneasel morph growled, "Would you help me get him to his room, zel? I think the best thing that can be done, snea, now is to let him sleep. Maybe Nurse sneasel, I mean Joy, can look in on him later to see if there's anything she can do." Her tone was kind but her voice was still rough. The fight seemed to have taken her transformation process a little further.

OOC: This thing goes lightning fast

IC:

Cain ran over to the bathroom where he heard some struggling. Then he saw a Zigzagoon hybrid run out.

What happened here?

Then he saw Zaiku run into the bathroom. Quickly Cain followed and he heard Tom say something

"Who am i?"

Zaiku looked very confused. At that point Cain walked in.

"Hey Zaiku. What happened here?"

Cain looked at Tom who had a very confused look on his face.

"Did Tom get into a fight? He is a duck he can barely move his arms."

Zaiku heard Cain.
"Hey Zaiku. What happened here?" Cain asked.
Zaiku sighed,
"I dunno, apparently Tom is having a memory loss." Zaiku explained, but knew that he was hypothesising that statement.

Zaiku seemed to to have come up with an idea.
"Maybe he's lost his memory due to hunger?"
Then at that moment Zaiku realised he never got to eat his salad and meatballs.
Zaiku guestured towards the door and made his way to the cafeteria.

There he noticed that his tray layed there, salad and COLD meatballs. But Zaiku was waaaaaaaay too hungry to care, and he began to chow down on the meatballs.
Mmm... Not bad for cold.
While he ate, he began to ponder about Tom's reason for memory loss.
He had soon realised that he had finished meatballs and his salad already.
Zaiku still felt unsatisfied.

Normally that's enough, oddly Ralts aren't really big eaters.
Then Zaiku remembered his normal self was an even smaller eater.
After eating Zaiku had thought about going shopping. New clothes.

Zaiku walked out of the bathroom saying it might be due to hunger. Yet when Cain saw him he was starting to eat himself.

"How can he think of food at a time like this? Tom has amnesia."

Cain started pacing. He knew he didnt have an explanation about this but there was nothing he could do.

"Okay Tom. We are going to walk out of the bathroom now. Okay? So we can tell everyone that you have Amnesia."

Cain hoped he wouldn't be like some caveman and yell at everyone

Travis groaned as he attempted to pick himself up off the bed. "Unn... where... za?" he asked, attempting to move.

Or rather, that was what he meant to say. What actually came out was more of a thick, slurred version of the words, with small interjected "za", "zan", and "goose" fragments, as well as other assorted onomatopoeia. Travis immediately clapped a hand to his throat. He couldn't have lost his voice! Desperately, he tried to speak, but all he could pronounce were various growling noises. With his anxiety rapidly snowballing into desperation, he coughed several times, and cleared his throat, before he finally managed to say "I can talk, za!".

Relief flooded Travis's system. True, his voice had a much harder and more pronounced Zangoose-like tone to it now, but at least he could still communicate for the moment. For now, that would have to do. Slowly, he eased himself out of the bed. Blinking, he realized that he was in the Pokemon center. Somebody must have carried him back after he had blacked out. He tried to remember what had happened. Slowly, images of the moments before he had used hyper beam came trickling back to him. "Let's see, za," he muttered, ticking off on his fingers, "First Kaki took that hit for me za, then I got really mad and did something to him za, and then... what then za?" He paused for a few moments, letting these recollections fully sink in before he remembered. "Kaki-za!" he practically screamed, leaping out of bed. A sharp, sudden pain in his side caused him to collapse again. He probably still hadn't recovered from using the whatever-it-was on the Nidoking, he realized. Then, he dimly remembered that Kaki had been next to him after he attacked. Since he was safe, that must mean she was too. Now he only had to wait.

Kaki got off her bathroom floor and entered back into the empty Pokemon Center room and sat down on the bottom of the bunk bed. Once more, she tried to speak, but only a faint squeal came out and Kaki sighed, deciding to keep her mouth shut for now.

"Kaki-za!" Came a familiar voice from the room next to her. Kaki looked at the wall behind her and realized that it was Travis' voice. Kaki stood from her bed and exited the room, crossing to the room next to her and slowly opening the door. She peeked through, seeing Travis on the bed, looking pained, holding his side. Wishing she could ask what was wrong or if he called her, Kaki let her ears fall to her skull and she entered quietly, closing the door behind her.

She knelt next to his bed, giving him a worried look that asked if he was alright. Travis would be the first one to find that she was unable to speak for the time being.

"K-Kaki, za?" Travis asked, startled by her arrival. He had been too busy concentrating on his injuries to notice her familiar scent. He could tell something was bothering her, from the worried look in her eyes, and the way her ears lay flat against her skull. "Are, Gu you za, OK, za?" He managed to ask with some difficulty. "I, za, za, mean, Goose, areyouhurt?" He could feel his voice fading again. With a grim certainty, he knew that probably by tomorrow, he could quite possibly be incapable of human speech. Losing his humanity he could deal with at this point, but his ability to talk with Kaki? No, that was going too far. It would be horrible if she asked him a question, and all he could do was squeak or growl in reply. An unbidden tear ran down the side of his face, but he wiped it away before it could be noticed.

Kaki's ears flipped up to listen as Travis asked her questions, and all she did was smile widely at him. She nodded at his first question, but shook her head at his second, trying to get it across to him that she was okay, but she only came in because he had called her. Whether or not it was done perposely, Kaki didn't know. But, still, Kaki smiled at him and opened her mouth to say something, but only a squeak came out and Kaki sighed in defeat, her ears falling back again and blush coming across her face.

She couldn't speak, and she hated thinking that if she was going to try and Travi how she felt, but only squeaking and leaving Travis in confusion. To show that she couldn't speak, she lifted her chin, and touched her throat gingerly, then shrugged. She didn't realize that there was a large bruse there where the Machop had held her, even though her entire neck was sore.

But, her attention moved away from trying to tell him that she couldn't speak and back to him. She remembered him bravely fighting for her, and ending up next to her, but she was still worried. She reached out to him and placed her hand on his cheek, giving him the same worried look when she had entered, and mouthed, "Are you okay?"

Zaiku's thoughts of a new outfit were interrupted when he realised that Tom had amnesia and slapped himself softly so he could re-orientate.He felt physically fine but... His mind felt so worn out, the Psychic attacks must drain his mental capacity, it wasn't like he had much sleep. Heck, he struggled projecting his voice mentally now.

Ok I'll just try to say "Hello, my name is Zaiku"
However what came out was:
"Helralo, myts name ra is raZaikualts."
Ughh... I can't keep up mental projctions, my mind isn't-
Zaiku felt his thoughts cut off, he could barely think now.

Need... Sleep... rest... mind... recover...
Zaiku went back into his bedroom and curled under his sheets and slumped into a sleep.

OOC: Sorry I couldn't think of anything better... But don't worry, I'll just wake him up in the next post pretending he got enough sleep or whatever.
