Name: Jennifer
Age: Fourteen
Gender: Female
Location: Pewter City
Pokémon to Become: Mareep
Discription: Thanks the notorious dominance of the 'Officer Jenny genes', Jenn is the spitting image of her mother. She has gentle nutmeg-brown eyes set in a feminine, heart-shaped face. Framing her cheeks are strands of wildly wavy blue hair, which she keeps snipping down so it doesn't reach her shoulders: she fears letting it grow too long, because she might resemble her mother too much. Generally she wears a newsboy cap over it, it varying colours. Her outfits vary, but she enjoys skirts, usually longer rather than shorter, for the freedom of movement they offer her. She's still reeling from the onset of puberty that struck her only recently, and is getting very annoyed at boys staring at her newfound cleavage. She therefore does her best to cover up, even in summer. A shame, considering her chest is the only thing she has going for her--there are so many Officer Jennies going around, she's a face in the crowd and not much more. She hates makeup (and most girls her age by extension), formal occasions, and getting dirty.
Personality: Jenn is afraid of everything. The dark, heights, water (she can't swim), going blind (despite the fact she doesn't need to wear glasses), bugs--it doesn't matter. You name it, Jenn is somehow phobic. Of course, she is much more scared of some things instead of others; for example, her fear of heights is vastly stronger than her fear of water. She is very high-strung and nervous, and as a result is a bit of a control freak: she enjoys precise routines, dislikes change, and wants to be in control of things around her. She's also a neat-freak (fear of germs), and always carries a bottle of hand sanitizer with her in her purse, along with her inhaler for when she has an asthma attack, or if she begins to hyperventilate, which she does when she gets scared.
Despite all her phobias, some mild and some not, Jenn is actually a very friendly, thoughtful and sociable person; her friends know her preference for quiet, calm activities like picnics and hikes. She's the type whose trust is hard to gain but easy to keep--she never forgets a birthday, name or number, mainly becomes she writes everything down in a little black notebook she keeps with her. She goes out of her way to please her friends and family with things such as homemade cookies, cards and occasionally store-bought gifts. She has a keen curiosity for science, aspecially health science, though hasn't yet developped a particular field of interest. Astronomy is her father's work, and thereby the one she is most familiar with, but her knowledge is certainly not up to par. She enjoys playing chess--even if she isn't very good at it--reading and stargazing. On the opposite side of the spectrum, she hates going to the beach, scandal magazines, and painting. Odd fact: she can look up any entry in the dictionary without looking first (because she's scoured the pages so many times...). Her greatest dream is to become a Pokemon Nurse (surprisingly, she doesn't have a fear of blood), but of course, that'll never happen, because her name isn't Joy; her other options are slim, making her parents uncertain about her future, although she manages to remain upbeat.
History: Jennifer was born to Officer Jenny #2286 of the Viridian City PD on a cold, wet day in late November. Her father was a scientist who hailed from Mossdeep, but was working at the Space Museum in Pewter as a foreign agent for the Space Center in his hometown; he still works there to this day. Her parents first met a year before her birth, love at first sight while she was temporarily assigned to help out the understaffed PCPD, and they bumped into each other while heading to their respective workplaces...one thing let to another, and she soon found herself pregnant. Neither were devastated by the news even if it was a bit too soon, so they decided to marry post-haste and keep the baby. Jennifer spent the first two years of her life in the idyllic company of two loving parents, but the relationship quickly soured during her third year, when her mother was forced to return to Viridian. The disputes culminated in divorce, and she went to live in Viridian. This worked well for some time, and her father--she didn't inherit anything from the neighbors--never missed a singly child support payment, always sent birthday cards and toys. However, as Jenn grew, she began to adopt her father's mannerisms, and became increasingly fidgety. Her mother, a confident, adventurous woman, pushed her daughter to go out more, even gave her self-defense lessons and tried to teach her to use a gun, but to no avail: Jenn was even afraid of the VCPD K-9 squad, composed of exemplarily friendly and obedient Growlithe. The two women soon started squabbling, and the summer of her twelve years, Jennifer transferred schools and went to live with her father--a much more appealing environment, free of any (live) pokemon, meticulously clean and tidy, and full of science and books. She has remained with him ever since.
Love: Single and somewhat interested (but then again, who would date her?)

She couldn't really move. Not really, as in, if she tried her everything hurt.
"Mairead..." she moaned softly, "I feel like one big bruise."
There was little doubt she was one, considering the report Eithne had given earlier; a purple lump on her right thigh, a black eye, and a cut on her leg that could've been infected if Deirdre hadn't declared it clean. The Nidorina had been very good with bandaging, but her paws couldn't do what human hands could--if only there'd been any humans around...
The last thing she remembered was the high-pitched tenor of their captain, sounding the alarm over the intercom, and the boat's terrible tilt. Then, she remembered falling...and waking up here, almost too battered to call out her pokemon. Almost.
Not that being horribly mangled ever stopped Brigdet. No, sir.
The water rushed up the sand rythmically, tickling the soles of her feet. The rocky sand under her was warm, heated by the pounding sun. It sloped upwards towards some bushes, which quickly transformed into a scraggly forest. Mairead, her lower half poking out in arches above the sea, leaned over her trainer. The Milotic's eyes were soft and full of worry, and she made a noise of inquiry.
"I'll be okay," Bree tried, but her voice sounded tired. She moved a finger, but that only resulted in her entire arm freezing up in pain.
"We've found berries!"
Ah, there were Eithne and Deirdre with her salvation. For the first (and possibly last) time in their lives, the Nidorina and the Vulpix had put their differences aside for a common goal. They came out of the underbrush with big leaves wrapped aroung loads of plump berries--the best thing to get her back on her feet, fast.
The twain came up beside her, Dei dropping her leaf at a certain distance before meandering off towards the water. With a derisive snort, Eithne pulled both leaves towards her friend, and, taking a big berry between her teeth, gently set it at Bridget's lips. All ideas of hygiene aside, Bree took the fruit, biting into it, feeling its fresh juices dribbling down her throat.
"Mmm...s'yummy, Eith."
"That's good. (she said something Bridget didn't understand) These are good for pokemon, but I do not know if they are good for humans."
Mairead said something, but the timing was different, so she couldn't quite grasp--pokemon spoke in sequences, like morse code, so they understood each other, but it was so hard for humans--and she wished she could make out what they were saying, because it was about her. She was made to eat both berry bundles, one fruit at a time, and then Mairead bid her sleep, which she did, although she was plagued by visions of a dark, watery abyss.
She woke to the sun still overhead; around her, she heard voices. Stirring, she tried to sit up, and found, to her amazement, that she could--only, a pitchfork was poking into her chest when she tried.
