Kaki's breathing was very uneasy, her legs were not holding her steady. Finally, her knees gave up and she fell onto her knees on the cold, hard, uncomforting ground. She bit at her lip to try and hold back the tears, but it was useless. She was broken. Her life, love, and passion had disappeared into thin air.

The PokeNav in her pocket began ringing, causing her to slowly reach in and answer it, flipping back the top to see a new, young, bright haired Professor she had met on her journey, Professor Cherry.

"Kaki?" She said quietly, looking at the shattered girl before her. "They're all gone, arn't they?" Professor Cherry suddenly asked. Kaki took in a gasp of air, trying to steady her breathing. She failed. "Y - yes," She said unwillingly. "Kaki, d - don't worry... You're not the only one..." Professor Cherry told her through her own tears. "After that huge star in the sky burst, all of the Pokemon vanished. All across the world... No more Pokemon."

Those words hit Kaki like she was under a Rock Slide. "No more Pokemon?" She asked weakly. "No, deary..." The Professor told her quietly. "I'M BROKEN WITHOUT MY POKEMON!" Kaki shouted, not caring about waking others up, or waking any Pokemon up. "I know, dear, I know," "NO, YOU DON'T... I... I need my Pokemon.... I am nothing without them..." Kaki said in what started out as a strong voice, but ended in a very weak and feeble murmur.

"I'm sorry, Kaki... There are no more Pokemon... They've all vanished." "Well, trillions of Pokemon, big and small, cannot vanish from the world in one instant! That's impossible!!! They can't all fit in one place!" "I KNOW, KAKI! No one knows what happened to them!" The Professor yelled at Kaki, that desprite girl wiht nothing to care for anymore.

"The only place they could all fit would be in space!" Kaki shouted. "No Pokemon could survive in space for forever." Professor Cherry reminded her. "Deoxys can." "That Pokemon is only myth, dearest!" "Rayquaza!" "Only an atmosphere Pokemon, not space."

Kaki took in a long breath before saying, finally, "Thanks for destorying any ounce of hope I had left in regaining my beloved Pokemon." and with that, she closed the phone.

OOC: Okay I just made Cain jump seven hours. Also im going to the same place you are Random_fan. If thats okay

IC:
Seven hours later Cain made it to Viridian City. However he had walked through most of the forest without stopping. So he was very tired when he made it to the gates. The trainer that was crying was far from him now. Cain was angry at himself for abandoning that trainer when he wanted to help him. So he decided to put his mind off it for a while.

Once Cain reached the gates of Viridian city he took a peek inside. There were people acting like the trainer before. Some were sobbing uncontrolably and some people were screaming over the loss of their pokemon. This frightened Cain more then the sobbing. Thats why he started runing through Viridian City. But everywhere he went there was still more people doing the same thing.

Eventualy Cain got tired and hungry for not eating in seven hours so he needed to find someplace to rest. Looking all around he found a simple fast food restaurant. It was labled Beths Burgers.

OOC: Okay, the jump is done. In RP time, it is now 7:00 PM. Those of you that didn't get to do something, it's okay, you can still explain what you did during the hours leap. See my post here as an example.

--

The following hours went by slowly. I couldn't take it. Jess stayed at Beth's Burgurs, even though it was now not serving. I headed home and just waited there in my room for a long while. My Mom had called me to watch the TV with her around 1:00, and I did for the whole hour. It showed everything I already knew. Then, unexpectedly, video footage from the night was shown and the Anchor began to talk about a story I had completely forgotten; the disappearance of the star.

I wanted to watch more, but my Mom turned off the TV. She had tears in her eyes. There was nothing I could say. I could do nothing.

And so seeing as I had nothing to do, I headed back to Beth's Burgurs.

I entered to find Jess still there, sitting near a window. I sat across from her. We said nothing to each other. We just sat.

A lot of time passed by. We looked out the window every now and then and watched many walk around the street aimlessly.

I looked at the clock near the wall. It was getting late, already nearing 7:00.

"So," I started. "What do you plan to do?"

Jess was quiet for a moment, then answered, "I'm going to go see David."

David was Jess's boyfriend. A lot of people saw me and Jess as boyfriend and girlfriend, but it wasn't that way. Jess was just a friend, and her boyfriend was staying at the Pokémon Center to go on with his journey. Or more like was. He was probably still there.

"I'm gotta go," Jess said, and with that, she stood and walked towards the door.

I just sat there, unable to do anything. I was unsure of exactly what it was I should have done. So before she left the door, I called, "Jess."

She turned around. "Yeah Tom?"

What else was there to say? "Be careful. There are a lot of angry people out there. Who knows what they'll do."

She smiled. "Thanks Tom." She continued on out the door, and I just sat there like an idiot with nothing to do.

OOC: Sure, that fine with me.

AJ had woken up in a sweat with his pajama top soaked, another bad dream. " It seemed so real..." AJ started to say out loud to no on in particular, He tryed to recount the dream to himself. Buildings on fire, People running around frantically and him... He had been in the middle of it all. AJ tryed to forget the dream and looked at the clock, it was just about Seven AM. AJ groaned and flopped back into bed trying to ignore the sick feeling starting to spawn in his stomache, To early... AJ went out like a light after a few seconds on the top of the bunkbed.

Six hours later

AJ woke up to the sound of his little bigger brother playing a videogame, What's he playing? AJ thought groggily to himself. " Take that saddler!" AJ heard his six year old brother Joseph say and then he heard an all to framiliar sound of Leon dying and his little brother pouting. " Joseph... are you playing Resident Evil 4?" AJ heard himself ask the child. " Yeah! uh-oh..." Joseph said as Leon died again. AJ sprung into action and jumped off the bunkbed to the kid below playing on the gamecube, " Your not supposed to play these game, Joey" AJ said slightly tired. " Why?" The child replied arrogently, " Your to young to play them." AJ replied getting irritated. " Yeah, but I'm bigger then you... and you play them all the time." The child smiled. " I'm older." AJ said taking the controller and finishing the last boss off quickly.

Five Hours later

AJ smirked as the credit's started to roll for Silent hill 2, He had just spent most of the day beating Resident Evil 4 and Silent hill 2. He had beaten them both in record time and had his little brother to prove it. AJ had always been scared to death when he played Silent hill and this time had been no diffrent, he was suprised he didn't wet his pants on the part where Pyramid head showed up. How creepy. AJ got up and streched, he was immensly hungry since he had skipped two meals and went into the kitchen. AJ grabbed a package of easy mac and shared it with his brother, Wonder where everyone else is... Pondered to himself. He then saw it, a note he grabbed it and attempted to make it out, he could understand this much; Dear Ben, AJ and Joseph. We have headed into town to talk with others about the incident found this morning. most of it was gibberish to him though so he put it down and went to find his fourteen year old brother Ben.

" Ben! Ben!" AJ yelled out looking around the house for him, " I'm in here" a somwhat deep voice yelled out from the study. AJ peeked in and smiled, He had found Ben playing computer games. " Ben, Whats going on?" AJ asked his much older and bigger brother.
" No time to explain, Go get dressed" Ben frowned at him walking away from the computer, AJ looked at it. Not games, something else. AJ ran into his bedroom and quickly got out of his pajama's and into his ussal outfit. Joseph was already dressed so they met Ben and went outside with him to the streets where they figured out what was wrong. The star in the sky... it was gone!

After about an hour of resting on her knees, Kaki actaully got up onto her feet. The fire that had actually lasted through the night was now extinguished, just like the soul that used to be burning ever so bright inside Kaki. That fire had burst and shattered into thousands of peices, just as the star had done from above.

Kaki kicked the empty Pokeballs out of her way as she slowly began walking aimlessly down the Route. She decided that if there was no life around her, now, there might be something in Saffron, the next town over. But, when she entered the gate she found that there were no guards to check her pack. She continued on her way, finding the usually buzzing city of Saffron dead quiet.

Kaki sighed heavily and spent the next hour traveling quite aimlessly into a town called Viridian, where there was the sence of human activity. Kaki wasn't Kaki anymore, just a broken person with nothing more but an empty Pokeball.

Kaki had cried all the tears that she could ever possibly shead, the loss of her beloved Pokemon worse than death itself. She did not fear death, she did not fear many things but her worst fear was losing her Pokemon, and it became reality. She wished reality did not exist anymore, that she could find her Pokemon, but she realized they weren't coming back. They would never be coming back. Words like this would have broken her heart before, when she had her Pokemon, but now, there was no more heart left to break.

The night sky had many stars out. Cain searched for that one star again. But like the morning before it was still not there. Cain searched all over and still could not find it.

Cain made it to the diner labed Beth's Burgers. But before Cain went inside he looked inside his backpack. After rummaging through his spare clothes and a few other things he finnaly found some money. Ah, I knew mom packed me something. .

Once he counted all the money he had and everything else he zipped up his backpack. Then he walked inside of Beth's Burgers. It was a small place with a fast food kind of look. So he walked right in and went to the counter.

Ruya picked aimlessly at the limp lettuce leaves in her salad, wondering if things had gotten any better. She hadn't watched any news on the Pokemon's disappearance since leaving the Viridian airport several hours previously. It wasn't that she didn't want any more information, she just wasn't sure if she could bring herself to watch it. It was still a very painful thing to think about and sitting inside some tiny restaurant playing with one of the only foods left on the menu wasn't helping.

"Excuse me, waiter, could I get my check please?"

The man gave a jerky nod and bustled off, returning a short while later with her bill. She shifted around in the pack at her waste until she had the required amount of money plus a decent sized tip. The people working here were probably going to need it. The man gave her a half smile and another nod as she stood up and headed for the door.

Outside the light was nearly gone from the sky. Only a glimmer on the horizon was left. Street lights illuminated the sidewalk, throwing everything not within the small space of light into shadow.

A TV in a nearby shop window displayed the latest developments in the Pokemon disappearance. Hardly anything had changed. The only new bit was information about the star that had vanished the night before. Were the two related somehow? Or was the fact that the Pokemon had vanished with the star just a coincidence?

Ruya would have stayed to watch a little longer but someone bumped into her and she realized she was standing in the middle of the sidewalk. Giving a final glance to the news reporter on the television screen, she began walking again. Exactly where she was heading, she wasn't sure yet. Probably the Pokemon Center or perhaps a cheap hotel. Staying at the Pokemon Center didn't feel quite right as it was a place for Pokemon trainers to rest and she no longer had any Pokemon.

A tear trickled down Travis's face, the eight-hundreth one that day. He always kept count of his tears- eventually, he would be focused on counting and not on crying, but it wasn't working today. It was as if the world had broken. One moment, he had been certain that he was the happiest person the world had ever known, and then- and then-

He stopped thinking and dissolved into tears again.

He was sitting on top of the roof of Tin Tower. He had no idea how he had made it past those monks, but he had, and now he was here. The very first spot he had visited on his journey. With his aniki...

"Ryota, where are you? Why did you leave?" He whispered.

Only the wind seemed to care.

His eyes seemed to darken for a moment as anger surged within him. How dare Ryota abandon him? They were friends! No, more then friends, they were brothers! And here he was, sitting on top of a stupid roof, near a stupid statue of a stupid flaming chicken that had supposedly vanished as well. He was almost ready to jump down and take out his frustration on the nearest bypasser in order to relieve the tension he felt. Then he remembered that Ryota hadn't left by choice. As the star had burst, the last thing he had said to Travis, in fact, had been "I have to go, but we'll see each other again one day." As if he had known that the star was going to make him disappear. But he couldn't have. No one could have. No one... except maybe him.

Travis stared at the statue of Ho-oh. It looked remarkably lifelike, albeit without color. It had been his favorite attraction here in Ecruteak. And he had found a feather here, once. He had thought it was a Rainbow Wing, but it had turned out to be a fake- just an imitation feather made to go on a souveneir necklace. He had laughed about it with Ryota for days. He wondered if he would ever find a real Rainbow Wing now... then something caught his eye.

There, on the neck of the statue. Winking in the pale moonlight. Travis dashed over so quickly that he had nearly fallen off of the edge. By the time he reached the statue, he could see what it was. Someone had hung a souveneir Rainbow Wing necklace over the statue's neck. It was the same kind, in fact, that Travis's feather had come from. Except for one thing- this one was, well, more real seeming. As though, maybe....

"Articuno's talons." Travis whispered to himself, reaching up to undo the necklace's clasps. The feather was real. For some reason, he could tell that this feather, at one time, had been on the neck of the real thing. And not only that, but it reflected everything around it. And when Travis looked at himself in it, he had to stifle a gasp. It had only been for a moment, but he had seen something in his reflection that made him want to cry out in shock.

His reflection had been a Zangoose.

Without a moment to lose, Travis practically bounded down the tower's stairs, past the monks, and barreled pell-mell towards the Ecruteak Gym. If there was one person who knew anything about Ho-oh, it was Morty. And Travis had a hunch that if anyone could figure out why this Rainbow Wing had survived, or why Travis's reflection looked like a Zangoose, it would be him.

(Alright, I've finished my sign-up, finally. I changed my character entirely, because, well, I'm not really that great of a writer, and don't think I'd be able to pull of being a Gastly. I hope that's alright. D: )

Kasedilla: Alright, I just finished reading your sign-up form. Description and personality are perfect, and the RP sample is very good. There is only one thing I can say. *Accepted*

--

I looked up from my sulk. There was only one other person in the restaurant. And he was about to buy something. Better save him the disappointment.

I was about to say something, to the trainer. I wasn't quite sure if he was a trainer; he certainly looked like one. I was going to say something like, 'don't even bother,' or 'No one is going to answer,' but I was surprised to find Jess's co-worker actually say:

"Welcome to Beth's, can I take your order?"

I couldn't believe it. Hadn't Jess just told me that they weren't allowed to serve anything? If that was true, what the heck was that guy doing?

I shrugged it off, and considering I too was hungry, and had money, I walked behind the trainer to wait in line. The other cash register was broken, and there were only two people in the back that I could make out.

"I guess, whatever," I muttered.

The person at the counter asked for my order. Cain replied

"What kind of meat do you serve?" Then the person at the counter said very truthfully

"Currently we are running low on stocks so im going to ask you to order something without meat in it."

Cain was very disapointed so he looked at the menue. There was only a few things on it without meat so Cain ordered some fries. He noticed the person next to him look very surprised that he ordered something so he asked him

"Are you going to order something with meat in it?"

Where could've that star gone? it went poof! I faced to Ben, " I'm going to Bethy's, kay?" I asked my elder brother. I grimaced as he ruffled my hair and said okay, I could tell he was worried about the star thing but, it had disapeared just as fast and apparent as it had came. So why's he worried? I shrugged and found my bike, it wasn't exactly a two wheeler but my balance wasn't perfected just yet so I coped.

I pedaled as fast a I possibly could going to Beths, I probally could get there faster if I was running considering how fast I was. In a matter of minutes I homed on to the fast food diner type place, I parked my bike on the south wall and walked in. I ruffled through my pockets and found some change, Just enough for a shake and frys. I smiled at that and I went to the counter to buy something, I could barely see over the top. " One Chocolate shake and a large order of onion rings." I said to the counter girl, I gave her the money and went to go sit down at a table to wait. I sat down and tryed to relax and then I thought something, I didn't see any pokemon on the way over here.... AJ didn't care, he didn't really like pokemon much, The family growlithe always bit him.

" Where's my food..." AJ asked himself anxiously even though it had only been a few minutes to him it was an eternity and that's when I spotted him, it was my babysitter Tom.
Why? AJ thought to himself, he didn't like Tom very much even though his brother's were perfectly fine with him. AJ turned the other way and slighlty covered his face as his food came.

Ruya paused outside another small restaurant called "Beth's Burgers". There was nothing special about the place and it was almost empty. The only reason she had stopped was because the two boys inside seemed to be ordering, which was odd because the name of the place had the word "burgers" in it. That meant meat, which had been taken off the menu at the restaurant she had eaten at earlier with good reason.

A low growl from her stomach informed her that her measly picking at a salad for half an hour had not quenched her hunger. This place probably couldn't serve meat either, but maybe they had some vegetable soup special or some french fry platter. She still had some spending money left and there really was no point in starving, even if she didn't feel like eating.

She pushed open the door and stepped inside. After a quick glance around to see if there was a sign somewhere indicating some kind of special, she approached the counter and got in line behind a boy with rather long black hair.

I looked at my hand in my pocket. I felt money in there. Yes, I indeed was going to buy something. And I indeed was going to look forward to getting meat of some kind. But I overheard what Jess's co-worker had said, so I changed my mind entirely.

"Nah, I'm just going to get a soda." I looked at the cash register, then said, "But I just changed my mind."

I turned around and bumped into a girl. "Opps, sorry," I said really quickly. She looked around my age. I looked around for no apparent reason, then said sorry again. That's when I spotted him.

"AJ?" I asked. He was sitting near an empty table. I looked around, then continued, "Where's Ben?"

AJ groaned and without facing Ben started to talk to him, " Am I my brother's keeper?" AJ asked the young adult in a rather rude manor. " Plus it's probally none of your beeswax." and then without really thinking he added " Now pop off and leave me alone". AJ started to eat his fries probally oblivios to any stare he would get. " Such dumb persons, they forgot my bendy straw." AJ mumbled to himself just starting to drink the shake straight from the large cup. He dipped some frys into his shake and ate those, it was pretty good to tell the absoulte truth. " Needs more salt though..." he then remembered that Tom was still there and he finished the conversation, " Now, don't you have some club to go to on how to maintain girly black hair?"

Ruya hopped backwards one step when the boy in front of her turned and accidentally bumped into her. He uttered a quick apology to which she responded, "It's all right." The boy then spotted someone over her shoulder and addressed him. She smiled and stepped around him to the counter to order. She had been right about the restaurant not serving meat but they did have a few other things.

After ordering some fries and a soda, she turned to observe a young boy sitting at a table. He was apparently the one the older boy had addressed. She heard him make a few smart remarks in reply to the first boy's question and concealed her grin as she headed over to a table nearby. Obviously there were some ill feelings between the two.

I sighed. It was typical AJ.

On the counter, there were straws in the straw container. I picked one out and headed towards AJ's table again.

"You may not be your brother's keeper," I said as I sat down next to him, "but I should qualify as your brother's eyes on you." I placed the straw, though not bendy, right in front of him. "Besides, today is a dangerous time to be alone, with everything that's going on and all." And then it just hit me of his eating habits. "You know, you really shouldn't eat like that. You can get sick."

I casually took the straw without saying anything and put it in my shake, I got a few more frys and repeated my process. I didn't really understand what he had said about eyes and brothers. " My eating these fries are perfectly fine, I don't have any weight to loose or anything." I told him still adverting eyesight, "But mabye it's a good thing you skipped those burgers or soda" I said trying to make it sound like a comment or something.
" Why is today more dangrous then yesterday or the day before?" I shot at him changing the topic quickly. " You know what, Forget it. Just Pop off" I said but this time I had substituted pop with a word that started with the sixth letter in the alphebet, I didn't know what it meant but I had heard it alot.

Cain finnaly grabbed his food. He was so hungry he could barely contain himself when he went to his seat. He was eating very peacefully when he got a call on his pokenav. He took it from his belt and opened it. It was from Professer Oak.

"Hello?" Asked Cain

"Hello Cain. I know that you were wondering about why the pokemon disapeared and I belive I have a theory."

Cain answered "What is it?"

"Well I belive that the pokemon have moved on because history must be repeating itself in some way. I dont know but this is just a theory."

"Well tell me when you work it all out."

Cain closed his pokenav. Then he took his tray and put it where you are supposed to put trays. Then he went back in line. He wanted something to drink

I blinked, and tried to keep my eyes shut. As fast as I did that, I averted to my normal gaze on AJ, trying to keep a smile.

"You should really be careful with what you say, AJ. It'll end up hurting you one day." I looked around the restaurant one more time, then turned back to AJ. "I'll walk you home. Trust me; today, you don't want to be out there alone."

Just as I had said that, there was a loud bang against a wall sound made. I turned to see where it was coming from to find through the windows, there was a guy pinning someone else down. I heard briefly, "You and the rest of your 'Team Rocket' stole the Pokémon!" Of course, it was slightly muffled. Maybe I should have gone outside to stop that, but I didn't want to cut in.

Instead, I told AJ, "See, that's what I'm talking about."
