The Star Trek Fanclub

Mwar, welcome to the nerdiest club in PC XD

Heh, mwar, William Shatner is already quite immortalized IMO, look at all the shows he's been in in recent years XD Third Rock from the Sun, that business show [O_o], those All Bran commercials [rofl], even guest voicing the President on Chilly Beach... lol. Anywaaay... mwar, I hope Spock isn't next... he's like one of the coolest chars on there... so's Bones... Scotty... Sulu... well all of them o_o

Sulu? George Takei's not dead, I would have definitely heard it on the news o_o;

William Shatner has been really successful lately, thank goodness...he actually just won an emmy award tonight for his work on Boston Legal =D

Mwar, I wasn't listing all the dead ones, just the chars I thought were cool ^^;;;

Hehe, mwar, yeah that's the show XD although it'd be neat ta see if there's any more Star Trek-ish things he can do anymore o_o like a really old decendant of the original James Tiberius Kirk XD

Hehehe, mwar, welcome Maya ^^

Sulu rocks, I must admit. As does Kirk, Some of the original producers said they created the Prime Directive solely for Kirk to break.

Anyways, yeah, Starfleet still uses the Miranda. It's a durable enough ship with enough room for upgrades and such to make it hard to retire. Much like the B-52 in our own universe.

Anyways, interesting side note. You know those freaks you see dressed up at anime conventions? :P That comes from Japanese cosplay inspired by the way Trekkies and SW fans dressed up for conventions.

Ah...unfortunately I never was able to go to a Star Trek convention; I've had to buy all my convention-exclusive merchandise via the internet. In my youth I did go trick-or-treating as a borg one year and a starfleet captain the other.

And welcome, maya <3

I went as a captain one year, never found the time to make a decent Borg outfit. I should do that sometime...

Indeed, a warm welcome to Maya. FOR THE EMPI... Sorry, wrong fandom. Live long and prosper.

...XD mwar, lol, I never dressed up as anything Star Trek for Halloween 'cause I lacked the costumes >_>

Although if a Star Trek convention would come ta Winnipeg and it's not too expensive I'd readily go to it XD and bring lots of money o_o lol

The closest thing I've been to is a Star Trek exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History (aka Union Terminal) when I was eight...I don't remember much aside from the fact that the souveniers were expensive (all I could afford was a DS9 watch that had a delta shield case and made communicator noises)...I did get to see a lot of original costumes...saw Jem' Hedar outfits, one of Odo's masks, some TNG costumes (including the short-lived unisex scant) and some large exhibits...I'm sad that I don't remember more of it...

I don't think a true Trek convention has ever come to Cincinnati ._.;

Mwar, that must suck... tha biggest Star Trek thing around here, that I know about, is a giant TOS Enterprise hanging off the ceiling of tha St. Vital Famous Players lobby o_o

...I'd love ta replace the nacelles with rocket pods, jump on tha thing and fly it around XD

Ooooh, mwar, that would be so AWESOME <3<3<3 the ultimate goal for Trekkies hehehehe =^^= *beams over there* I wish T_T
