I have to go with Tsutaaja for the time being. That royal expression just does it for me.

As for Pokabu, I have more hope for it than I had for Chimchar. Cute, too.

Mijumaru is too detailed for a starter. I haven't seen its speculated evolutions yet, but I'm struggling to imagine an intimidating-looking otter. <_<

Grass starters are always the best looking :D but the water ones are the most usefull. I guess ill start with grass on pokemon black, and than when the 3rd game comes out ill choose mijumaru.

My CHoice Will Be Tsutarja. I Started first gen with Bulbasaur, Second With Cyndaquil, Third with Mudkipz, and fourth with Turtwig.

I always start with Water Types. I really hate Tsutaja. It looks like they just copied Treecko and left it to rot. I really disliked Treecko to begin with since it looked extremely retarded so that doesn't help it much.

Pokabu...Bleh. I hope it looks crappy because the Fire types need to not have epic starter lines in at least one Generation.

Well, the fire starters were always my favourites, in all gen., so I think I'll go with Pokabu! In fact, it is the only 5th gen Pokemon I like, besides Chillarmy, I mean!

I just checked the unconfirmed evos of the starters on Serebii, AND GOD I HOPE Pokabu doesn't evolve into that thing! Although I must admit, Other starter's evos look AMAZING!

Mine were Mixed, so i started all the games three times!
Hardest was Johto with Chikorita, but Kanto was Pretty Easy!
Black and White Shouldn't be so hard with these cool new Pokes!

And if they are official designs, maybe it's only bèta art, and they changed appearance drastically (I hope!) in the meantime.

The games are going to be released next week. I doubt they have time to make all the changes (guides, blogs, a million copies of the games, anime, etc) in a week. Right now I dont mind the last 2 stages of the starters. But I will be a little dissappointed if the Grass starters final stage is part poision, I had a tough time with Venusaur in Blue version, and Like I said before Im pretty impressed with Mijumarus final evo. I hope that one says the same.

PokeExperto (the same person who confirmed the legitimacy of the evolutions) has said that the typings for the evolutions are Grass, Fire/Fighting, and Water respectively.

Although I don't mind Mijumaru's final evolution, despite the fact it looks nothing like it, I hate Pokabu's final evolution. Its typing only makes matters worse.

As I planned to, I will be starting with Tstuaja, but it's indeed a shame it won't gain a second typing.

Keep in mind that the current names for the starters are Japanese. It's gonna be tough to pronounce them at first if you don't speak Japanese.. XD; No worries, the English names will come out soon enough. ^^;

I personally thought the starter's names were fairly easy to pronounce but that's probably because I've been an anime fan for 8-9 years.. :x

Personally, I'm getting mijumaru.

Tsutarja is overrated and pokabu is too cutesy. Besides, if those evolutions are real then pokabu is definately out for me. Tsutarja's evo is okay though.

Also, I don't understand why people think mijumaru is too detailed. It is simpler than bulbasaur, chimchar, and piplup without any debate at all, and possibly others. Tsutarja is a heck of a lot more detailed than mijumaru to say the least. My personal belief is that people are ranting on the black and white pokemon simply because they are looking for problems to rant about, most of which don't exist.

That isn't relevant. Some spell it Tsutaaja, some spell it Tsutaja, it doesn't matter. Discussing the starters as a whole is more important.

Agreed, fire/fighting is kinda old. Although i really wouldn't care if Pokabu's evo line was fire/fight, as long as its design doesn't look terrible. like those pictures of the final evo starters going around, which are hideous Now being a pig, I wouldn't be surprised if Pokabu's final evo is fire/ground, which is pretty cool despite the obvious type weaknesses.

I'm going with Tsutaja, which is slightly weird because I tend to go for the fire or water types. But... Tsutaja is just so cool and smug looking! It's become my favourite grass typed starter. <3

Mijumaru is a close second, however. It is simply adorable and too hard to resist. Pokabu is strange, though. I think it's rather ugly. When I saw the silhouette, I thought that it could be a cute rabbit or something. xD
