They tend to be the same price, but then the shipping cost is added, which adds quite abit onto the price in most cases.

Yes, the shipping is insane. Like for instance if a game was about $50 and if you get inported, they add about $40-$50 more dollars for the shipping!! That is crazy. I rather wait until it comes to America or forget about it. XD

Yeah but remember that if you pre-order it you still get it on the day of realease and you would only play RRP for it and no extra fee except for maybe a couple of pounds/dollars for P&P. Plus I know a site over here where you get the games brand new and the are like ?10 cheaper anyway so I save like 10% straight off.
