Oh come on. It isn't that hard to believe. Maybe if you two hadn't fought so much, you'd be paired with her now... And she did it because she didn't want to hurt you or Midnight Winged.

She always had Trace in the running. So, it's really not that big of a surprise that she chose him. BTW Trace, I was constantly telling her to pair with you over MSN, so you owe me like... a cookie or something. xP
