The Super Smash Brothers Thread

I think for the next game we should have:
Shadow
3rd Gen Pokemon Female Trainer
Mii
Banjo and Kazooie
and Travis from No More Heroes he would so kick ass!

My main brawler would be Lucas, because his PK Thunder is easier to control than Ness' and overall has good attacks. Compared to Ness' attacks, Lucas sacrifices power for speed and multiple strikes. PK Freeze works wonders where PK Flash doesn't, though.

My secondary character is Luigi, because I like annoying people with Negative Zone. He also handles slightly better than Mario.

My third choice would be Toon Link, because regular Link is too slow for me. (Don't even think about it.) If someone else is using Toon Link, I'll use Meta Knight instead.

If you couldn't guess, I like speed attackers.

i'd have to say Kirby & Pikachu!

Lucario for sure
Then Ness alot of people under estimate his ruthless power

Short hop, air dodge with the stick held down, especially used to make quickly distance from the oponnent.

In brawl it's impossible, but I prefer brawl because it's less cruel for the player's fingers :nervous:

I play pikachu as main character because I've alway played it, and spamm with it's aerial neutral A (when you mastered the short hop you get it) *.*

As second character I think link isn't bad 'cause of his clawshot (Z-air, sorry for the tricky terms =s) and because he's got good aerial moves, because his jumps are very low...

Thank you, my sister.

Glad to see someone else who has dug deeper into Melee.

That makes me think of Diddy Kong.

I'm sorry, but after the "Doosh's" from Wii Sports Boxing, I'm sure a Mii in a SSBB sequel would be epic. Unless its a SPORE wannabe...

The only problem I see with the Mii being in the game would be how they'd do movesets. At first, I thought you would customize them with moves and fighting styles of the real characters, but then you could easily create an overly cheap character. Like Ike with wings.

My number one main is Ness... he's just the man, plain and simple, and I can rock people with his PSI and well-placed moves. I don't play with Lucas much, but I haven't played Mother 3 yet so I don't really connect to him as well. They're both equally good, though.

My other favorites include Dedede, Mr. Game & Watch, Toon Link, and Pokemon Trainer. Mmhm.

No items, 4 stock sound good?

Lucas is too weak.....Ness is mush better, and PK flash is good for your opponent it's trying to crawl back on stage, attacking someone with a PK thunder itself isn't too great, throwing yourself at them with PK thunder is great.

I agree, hands down Ness is better than Lucas. Although the chances of Ness falling down a hole are more so than Lucas. I just dislike both of them, but overall Ness is cooler.

my main are lucario and lucas i like lucarios aura powers and his final smash and lucas....
same as well but his final smash rules...

PK.... STARSTORM!!!!!!!!!!!!

My main character is Toon Link, because in Melee I always used Link, but I prefer speedier characters (Young Link in Melee had TERRIBLE knockback on his moves). I do play as older Link occasionally, because he can be pretty agile if used correctly, and has pretty good power. But TL has the right balance of speed and power.

I also like to play without items, because it takes the luck element out of the game. A good player could be beaten by a bad player just because a Heart Container drops at a key time, a hammer appears or a Final Smash. It's also how smashes are played in official tournaments. But when I'm playing for fun (like when I'm playing against people who have maybe never played the game before or don't own it), items are fun.

^ i agree with the whole item thing....just the smash ball to me seems cheap, and if someone played as sonic...well, give up on trying to get the smash ball, cus he is there within 2 seconds

I play without Items sometimes with my friends, but I just think that sometimes...its not SSBB without them, It's just a fighting game.

But yeah it does add a luck element, so it can work both ways.

Hey Emerald, I like what your saying, I get really annoyed when someone says, 'I don't care if everyone else want's items. I will only play without them.'
It get's so frustrating.

I use to use Lucario heaps, but now I use Ike and Toon Link as my mains.
