How come you don't like Colette Lightning?
She's so... annoying. She apologizes for everything, regardless of whether she needs to or not and her character is just so... unbelievable. No one is like that, no matter how hard they try. I mean, it would be okay if she would just admit that sometimes she hates people, sometimes she wants people to die or just go away...but no. She's "perfect." I hate flawless characters. It's unrealistic.

No idea, but the reason why I hate Collete sometimes is because with her high affection with Llyod, making it hard to get thooked up with the other characters. Towards my opinion, Zelos is the hardest.

It's sad that you can only pick Kratos or Zelos. In my third game, I wanted to get Kratos back in my party, but that means I need to ditch Zelos. If I do that, I won't get some really good sidequests (Dinner party, Hot Tub, Hilda rescue). Can anyone help me decide?
Zelos is also hard because he starts out with very low confidence in Lloyd. So not only do you have to beat Colette down, you have to work really hard at getting him to warm up to you, too. o_o

You could save just before Flanoir and split your game into two strands...one for Kratos and one for Zelos. o_O

About Colette...she's so unrealistic. No one could be that optimistic and function in the real world. Also, the innocence is sickening. I mean, come on, she's 16! I think she should know when a sexual reference is made...
True, but she and Lloyd did grow up in Iselia. Seems it's a very sheltered town, mind you, since they didn't know they were the only city with a Desian Treaty. Not only that, but they had that abhorrent mayor leading the town and his purist ways would likely rub off on everyone else, making it a pretty boring town. <_<
Hey what would happen if they make ToS 2?
You'd probably follow Lloyd around on his exsphere journey, which would be fun...but the lack of Kratos would suck. D:

There's no reason to. There's an infinite supply of mana, the world is slowly becoming at peace...

Unless something similar to the Kharlan War erupted. But that would be too predictable...and kinda abrupt too, with the world being regenerated and all...

Mithos was being evil because a human killed his sister...wish I can see the whole story
I myself was thinking about writing a fanfic about Mitos and Martel...meh, I need to know more facts though XD

Oh crap, I forgot about little Lloyd! He didn't understand sexual references either. Well, I guess I could let Colette off the hook for some of the stuff she does...but she's still too optimistic to function in the real world.

How should we make Colette a better person?
Well, we should give her a dose of the real world. Hmm...maybe not, culture shocks tend to mess up people like her...

LMAO.

Mithos was a good character... with good + evil + selfishness + love rolled into one. <3
Yeah. My favorite character, Zelos next in line. I find his ideals on discrimination more realistic than Lloyd's load of whatever.

I don't really see a point of it. ToS was the prequel to ToP anyway. If I had to say something about ToS 2, I'll say that it'll just be closer to the time period before ToP and a lot more related.

After all she's seen, I doubt anything would genuinely shock her anymore. Not after seeing how exspheres are made, etc. @_@

I know in the PS2 version there's... a sidequest of sorts that further explains what happened 4000 years ago with Mithos, Yuan, Martel, and Kratos while they were trying to stop the Kharlan War... or something. <<; Too bad that's not in the GCN version...nor will it be in English. ;_;

This thread is going so fast today. It's weird. XD

I don't think a sequel would be very good... they did pretty good ending it. And with all of the relationships you can make, I don't think it would be wise to try to make it Lloyd's journey. There would be alot of very mad people because their favorite character didn't go with Lloyd on his journey XD

Well, they could do it so that it extracts the data from your old memory card and you sort of carry over in a way. As in, whomever was your soulmate is still with you. But they would have to make two different games because people who chose the Kratos ending have no Zelos because of, well, the fact that he'd be dead. But otherwise, Zelos would be a pretty big part of the journey, I might assume. o_O

I wouldn't mind a description of what in ToS is related to ToP since I've never played ToP. I'm sure the ending is related to ToP, but I have no idea how.

I haven't played through ToP yet (I've got the game, haven't played it much though) but I do know the summon spirits in ToP are the same as ToS...well, the names are the same. Like I said, I haven't been through the game yet, so I don't know if the spirits look the same. There are more references too...but someone more experienced in ToP would know what I'm getting at.

It was originally for the SNES (I think, maybe it was for the Famicom, I don't remember), and then released for the GBA. I don't think the (S)NES version was released outside Japan, but the GBA version was...I think.

Anyway, the game runs sort of like the GB Pokemon RPGs when walking; you know, up, down, left, right. The battle system is action RPG based, like ToS. There's only one path, so you need to place your characters in a line based on who you're battling. ToP has TP too, so you can use Techs.

Well, those are the basics. Sorry if it wasn't helpful, I don't play the game much.

There's some information here, but that's mostly pertaining just to the game and only touches lightly upon similarities between TOP and TOS. o_o

;_; I want to play the other Tales games but I don't really know how to get my hands on them.

Ooooh...so the tree was named Yggdrassil. I don't see any other connections to ToP's storyline other than that.

Yeah, I knew the summon spirits were also in Phantasia. They don't seem to have as much an impact though...I'll go ahead and play to find out.

I don't think so, but I haven't tried it yet. I've read through some faqs that the events aren't available if Kratos was chosen at Flanoir...but I'm sure someone can confirm that.
