Hehe I overslept and was so mad when I missed this episode. Felt like my whole day was thrown off so I found the Japanese version online. I loved hearing Rocketto Dan in that version though, so that's a bonus. :-) Eh, but can someone help me out: why did Giovanni return Yanmega? That thing is sweet.

Jessie wins a contest, and now they actually capture a Pokemon...I'm liking this break of convention, writers! Keep it up! (as if they can hear me...*sigh*)
 
Giovanni received it as a Yanma, and had just got a shipment of them from wherever else. So he sent it back to the Broken Rockets, where it was given to Jessie. It evolved into a Yanmega soon after.
 
I thought it was cool how jessie's Yanma evolved into a Yanmega....good episode funny as usual :)
 
I have a question about this ep. Since when is Ancient Power some sphere thing appearing in front of the Pokemon, then blasting out? Isn't it supposed to be a bunch of levitating rocks? :\
 
I have't watched the whole episode. Started yesterday and now can't be bothered

Best. Capture. Ever. LOL. But it was much funnier in Japanese, when it has silence and moved onto the boy, it made it more dramatic. They had some random crazy music in the dub, but Maemuki Roketto Dan was there in Japanse version, which is just so much better

Yeah I loved hearing Rocketto Dan in the Japanese version!! And Trap-Eds, about Ancient Power...yeah I noticed a lot of attacks are just crazy balls of light no matter what type it is. Maybe it's a budgeting thing.
 
Because energy-blast fights in anime are usually a sign that the animator/artist is lazy. >.> And rocks flying just doesn't compare to that.
 
Yeah--wait, was Ancient Power used by Yanmega or another Pokemon? It just occurred to me I watched it in Japanese and have no idea what they were saying, but I think I'm picturing the right attack.
 
I personally enjoy the anime's animation for AncientPower. It's like what Hidden Power should look like, if you ask me. :S
 
I get Ancient Power, Hidden Power, and Secret Power all mixed up. Someday I'm probably going to try creating a secret base but end up blowing out the side of a mountain.
 
God forbid you mess any of the three up with Superpower. :S
 
I'd think that's unlikely but knowing me... Isn't there a Mystic Power too? Why so many powers? Was that just a vein of uncreativity on the designer's part?
 
It's actually Cosmic Power. Adds +1 to Defense and Special Defense. :#
