Hey guys, I'm sorry it's been so long but I have been busy with school. Anyway, I'm gonna have to start over my Yellow Version Poison monotype challenge. I had my hard drive reset, so I lost everything. Anyway, I'm starting over - on my GBA! I'm playing Pokemon LeafGreen Version, and I've actually started a bit. I named myself Jacob, my real name, called my rival Gary, as usual for Kanto games, and started with Bulbasaur, whom I've named Saur. I'll update when I reach a more major step in the game. Goodbye!

P.S. Congrats to all the older (not age, age of challenge) monotype challengers that finished theirs. You rock guys! :)

Still busy grinding my plant team... now they are all Level 27.
I pity the poor krabbys of the coast who have to take it all in.

I wonder how far I have to grind them so they arent all 1HKO by Gengars shadowball. *sigh*

Hey Guys I Know it's been a long time since I last posted an update but I had other things going on. If you remember I was doing an ultimate grass challenge and I am on Victory Road in Kanto I will edit this post when I beat E4 +C

Edit: Well It took me a while but I've finally completed the first leg of my challenge, Kanto. Here's the team

    Venusaur
    Lv 62
    Synthesis
    Razor Leaf
    Leech Seed
    Poison Powder

    Parasect
    Lv 62
    Dig
    Leech Life
    Giga Drain Slash

    Victreebel
    Lv 62
    Solarbeam
    Sunny Day
    Acid
    Razor Leaf

    Exeggutor
    Lv 63
    Sleep Powder
    Poison Powder
    Leech Seed
    Psychic

Exeggutor managed to survive a flamethrower from Charizard and finished him off with Psychic for the win.

    MVP- Venusaur
Man Venusaur was good. He managed to get lots of kills early game and managed to solo 3 gyms he shined a lot late game.

    LVP- Parasect
His typing left him very vulnerable to a lot of common moves like fire and flying. Worst thing was he couldn't even attempt to fight flying types due to the X4 weakness.

Tomorrow I will start Johto. Wish me luck and good luck with everyone else on their monotype challenges :)

  • To truly claim the title of Dark Master, I thought I'd take this challenge, I've got a question though. For each new game do we get another team of the same type, or do we somehow transfer my Pokemon over, cause I don't think I can to that? Like when I go from HeartGold to Emerald, then from Emerald to Platinum, then from Platinum to Black. Also in HeartGold it takes a while to get a Dark Pokemon, not until you go to Ecruteak City for the first time (access to Eevee), so what do I do until then?

No transfering required, with each new game you build a new team made up of the type of your choice. I usually just use my starter until I can grab a pokemon of my chosen type, but if that takes to long than you could trade an egg or two over and hatch them, or if your playing on an emulator you could hack a few pokemon in, at the appropriate level of course. I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to answer questions since this isn't my thread, but I'm a nice guy so oh well :)
