Did I update correctly or do I need photographic proof?

seems sufficient. You can add as many or little photoproof as you'd like. Although i think having a screenshot/picture of your elite 4 victory (or whatever the last battle in the game is would also be good. (doesn't hurt anyways)
For example: in my Soul Silver run i had an elite 4 pic (for fun) and will have another elite 4 pic (round 2, also for fun) and i'll have a pic of the defeated Red since he's the last stop for my game. - since Red doesn't do a hall of fame style thing i'll just take a pic of what he says after his defeat. Some people take it really far and they have basically pics of each major event. down to everything practically -- and some people even video record all of their progress.

All there is left to do now is try out red at my current level (lvl 62~64)
If i can't beat him i'll have a long grind fest and then he'll be a cake walk
Edit 2 Update 2
Decided to just try out Red and see how much I needed to train. I ended up beating him. Gengar is definitely my MVP -- he just always had a way out exactly when I needed it. For the battle vs Red, Gengar was my tank and my lock down pokemon. With some planning and a lot of revives, Red was defeated. I didn't do a log for him though cause I honestly thought I nneeded to grind some levels first. I didn't hav my camera ready to snap the ending dialog but I definitely got him. Soul silver poison challenge is done.
I'm not sure which game I'll go to next. I guess we wI'll find out in my next update.

Emerald Grass Mono Single Challenge Update:

-Trained Laura and Helen a bit. Eventually became tired of Laura's crappy moveset, so I taught her Cut just so she'd have a reliable damaging move.

-After a random trainer battle, Helen evolved into Gloom.

-I had to sacrifice Helen to do it, but after some slight difficulty, I defeated Wattson.

-Didn't want to teach Rock Smash to any good Pokemon, so I caught a Poochyena to teach it to. Should have caught a Zigzagoon earlier, but no nearby route has it now.

-Laura learned Fake Out and Helen learned Acid.

-Beat the Winstrates.

-Got the Secret Power TM and taught it to Laura.

-Reached Route 114 and caught a Lombre.

Maybe i shouldn't have picked Expert Emerald... The first pokebattle (before i can catch anything) i have to solo May's team of Skitty and Mudkip (i picked torchic and named him HMSLAVE)
We'll see how i do :x I don't think i'll be able to underlevel my way through this one though....
First poison option for Expert Emerald is Oddish (Rt103) and Bellsprout (Rt103) - Both aren't my first choice... Guess we'll go with Oddish for variety's sake since i had Victeebel last game.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen, it's been one year since I took over the Ultimate Monotype Challenge! I remember how crazy it was, a thread clearly abandoned mere weeks in by it's original owner. After about half a year I decided that someone should do something, so I wrote Sydian an overly formal letter asking permission to take control and whip it into shape! Needless to say she thought it was funny and said yes.

I've dealt with loopholers and miscreants, non readers and hackers. But more importantly I've been able to experience the thrill of letting you wonderful people take on one of the oldest challenges in all of Pokemon existence. It's a rough job but someone has to do it, and I wouldn't give up a single day of it.

So to reward all of you for sticking with me, I'm doing another event! 2 events to be precise, as Christmas is almost here and I want to give all of you a gift.

Once redeemed, all events may be used until the end of the challenge, no matter how long it takes you to finish from when you redeemed it.

It means you can only apply it to one game play through. It can be used in an ultimate but not redeemed for the entire ultimate. Also you accidentally double posted.

7. Hacked ROMs are acceptable for this challenge. However, total hacks (Brown Version, Light Platinum, etc) are only acceptable for Single Challenges. Hacks that feature existing regions, whether they are remakes or complete Pokedex hacks (Blaze Black, Skeetendo's Christmas Hack, LiquidCrystal, etc), are acceptable for the Ultimate Challenge, as long as it corresponds to a region you have not completed.

Well after getting fly and getting rid of TT cool J (Tentacul), i flew to Olivine.
I went to the safari zone because i was asked to by Baoba, then i fought all the rocket grunts there. Zuko evolved into an Infernape!!!
BUT, i don't have strength so i can't go on...DAMN. People have told me to go to Mt.Mortar but 2 guys are blocking thr Ecruteack entrance. If somebody knows what to do can you tell me? I can't continue until i get strength.
