The Ultimate Pokemon Game

I have always been thinking of what it would be like of instead of having the game base what goes on during the show but have the show dictate to a certain point what goes on during the game. Imagine a game that started out like the Yellow version and instead of after being the Elite four the game then goes onto the Orange islands and have different competitions at each of the islands. Once completed in that area the person has a chance to go back to the Elite Four for an "invitational" tournament. I was thinking that it is not just an invitational because one finished a an area but have different criteria for them to be invited. ie. average likeness, average level, etc. Once one finishes that tourney win or loose (only one shot at it) they must then go over to the Johoto region and then keep going around doing the competitions and tournaments and gym badges as if it were in the game but must to beat the game one must have certain criteria so that they just dont go around with their level 100's the whole game so it adds a little toughness to the game.

Tell me what you think about this

This would be cool, especially if it went all the way up to Sinnoh.

The problem is Nintendo will NEVER make something like this for 3 reasons:

    1. WAY to expensive to sell well

    2. Too much info for one game kart

    3. They would make more money selling them piece by piece

It'd be pretty cool, elaborate on the "invitational" tournament, I dont get it.

invitational tournaments would be a tournament that one can be invited to once all the criteria is met for a certain area. and the tournament would kind of be like the show during all the final tournaments that Ash goes to throughout the show.

Thank you for a holy, ultimate-capable post. Have a cookie^.^

I don't think further explanation is required. It WOULD be cool but it would have too much data, thus, multiple karts, thus, more possible glitches and problems, thus, more service, thus, more $$$$$ for Nintendo.

The power of Christ, unfortunately, compels this game.

I've seen this thread about a billion times before, sorry. I wasn't sympathetic to OP's #1-999,999,999, and I don't plan to be for #1,000,000,000. :P

The fact that many want the nostalgia of the anime is understandable, so I can see why people would want the Orange Islands. The problem with that is lack of variety in the wild Pokemon. There would be so much water that you would have to stick 5-8 families into one tiny patch of grass on an island. It would just be a clusterfack of Pokemon, and just seems annoying. Plus, I'm sure nobody wants to continuously run into Tentacool/cruel.

AND WOULD YOU RABID FANBOYS STOP GOING ON ABOUT JOHTO. THIS IS REALLY BEGINNING TO TICK ME OFF. I don't know when any of you will ever realize this, but Johto
    Spoiler:

Old and bad idea is bad and old.

...Anyway, moving my argument to the perspective of business, GF wouldn't do this because they get a specific region's fanboys to foam at the mouth at one region. What's the point in doing a multi-region game when they can scam you out of your money for a rehash of just one of the past regions that everyone loved, then come out with a totally new one for you to explore? They make more money that way. :#

I don't mean to dismiss your idea, OP, but the two main arguments in bringing a multi-region game, as well as bringing Johto back, are two ideals I strictly oppose, despite the overwhelming fanbase this site has for both of them. You can beat the dead horse of this argument all you want; its leaking brain matter isn't going to get you much in the way of content. :#

so you are telling me it wont work because you have a love for Johto then correct

No, it won't work because GameFreak are a bunch of cheap little something-or-others.

My personal opinion is that I dislike the idea, because I've heard it before...a billion times...:#

do you think it would work on another console such as wii or what ever major console nintendo comes out with next. i was thinking that one can buy like booster packs if there becomes a new land opening or something of the sort

Lol. Don't be hypnotized by spam. Platinum is obviously not the Ultimate Game.
